Chapter 113: Something is Wrong with Her

Dante's body was already in motion before his mind caught up.

One second, he had been asleep beside her.

The next—

Bella's screams tore through the room.

Her body jerked violently, her limbs thrashing, her breath coming in sharp, panicked gasps.

Dante grabbed her wrists, pinning her down, his heart pounding.

"Bella! Wake up!"

She gasped, her golden-brown eyes snapping open—

And for the briefest second—

They weren't hers.

They were black.

Dante's stomach turned.

Then—

She blinked, and they were gold again.

Bella's breath hitched, her hands trembling.

"It was in my head."

Dante's jaw clenched.

"What was?"

Bella swallowed hard, her body still shaking.

"The Hollow One."

Silence.

Dante's fingers curled around hers, his grip steady, strong.

"Tell me everything."

Bella exhaled shakily, trying to push down the terror still curling in her chest.

"It spoke to me, Dante."

She lifted her gaze to his, her voice barely above a whisper.

"It said I called it back."

Dante's blood ran cold.

Because if that was true—

If Bella had somehow brought it back—

Then this wasn't just a monster.

It was a curse.

And it was bound to her.
