Masika's eyes widened as the men closed in on her and guards, their guns trained on them. They knew were outnumbered, but they refused to back down.
Sophia smiled, a triumphant look on her face. "You should have stayed out of this, Masika," she said, her voice dripping with malice.
Masika's eyes locked onto Sophia, and she knew that she had to think fast. She slowly raised her hands, pretending to surrender, but her eyes were scanning the room, looking for an opportunity to escape.
That's when she saw it - a small fire extinguisher on the wall, just out of reach of the men. Without hesitation, Masika made a split-second decision, grabbing the extinguisher and spraying it directly at the men.
The room erupted into chaos as the men stumbled backward, temporarily blinded by the foam. The guards took advantage of the distraction and launched towards the armed men.
As they stumbled into the alleyway, Masika could hear the sound of sirens getting closer. She knew that they had to get out of there, fast.
Masika dragged Sophia through the winding alleys of the city, desperate to find a place to hide. She could hear the sound of footsteps behind her, and she knew that Sophia's men were closing in.
Just as she thought they were going to be caught, Masika saw a small doorway to her left. She pulled Sophia through the doorway, and they found themselves in a cramped, dimly lit room.
Masika locked the door behind them, leaning against it to catch her breath. Sophia glared at her, her eyes blazing with anger.
"You'll never get away with this," Sophia spat, her voice venomous.
Masika smiled, a cold, calculated smile. "I already have," she said, pulling out her phone to call Jake.
As she waited for Jake to answer, Masika's eyes locked onto Sophia's. She could see the fear lurking behind her eyes, and she knew that she had the upper hand.
"Jake, I've got Sophia," Masika said, her voice firm. "I need you to come and get us."
Jake's voice was calm and reassuring. "I'm on my way, Masika. Just hold tight."
Masika nodded, even though Jake couldn't see her. She knew that she just had to hold on for a little while longer.
But as she looked at Sophia, she knew that she couldn't trust her. Not for a second.
Masika's eyes never left Sophia's face as she waited for Jake to arrive. She could see the wheels turning in Sophia's mind, plotting her next move.
Suddenly, Sophia's eyes flicked to the side, and Masika saw a small, hidden panel slide open in the wall. Sophia's hand darted into the panel, and she pulled out a small, sleek gun.
Masika's heart skipped a beat as Sophia pointed the gun at her. "You'll never win," Sophia sneered.
But before Sophia could pull the trigger, Masika heard the sound of footsteps outside the room. The door burst open, and Jake strode in, his gun drawn.
"Sophia, drop the gun," Jake ordered, his voice firm.
Sophia's eyes flashed with anger, but she slowly lowered the gun. Jake moved forward, his eyes never leaving Sophia's face.
As he reached out to take the gun, Sophia's eyes flicked to Masika, and she saw something there that made her blood run cold.
