After the brief conflict in his dormitory, Arjun sat cross-legged on his bed, entering a state of meditation.
His breathing was slow and steady, his body absorbing the surrounding energy, refining his muscles, bones, and blood. Cultivation was not just about reaching a higher realm—it was about understanding one's own body, strengthening the foundation.
The noble boy, thoroughly humiliated, did not say another word. He simply went to his bed and slept in silence, avoiding eye contact with either Arjun or Li Wei.
As for Li Wei, he was still in shock. He couldn't believe that a first-year student had already reached the Third Realm of Body Tempering. It was something unheard of, something that defied the normal pace of cultivation.
But seeing Arjun sit in deep meditation without caring about anything else, he understood—this was not just luck. This was dedication.
The room remained silent throughout the night, with only the faint sound of breathing filling the air.
The next morning, as the first rays of sunlight entered through the window, the students in Gurukul began to wake up.
Arjun slowly opened his eyes. A faint glow of energy surrounded his body before dissipating into nothingness. Another night of cultivation had strengthened his body further.
On the other side of the room, Li Wei stretched his arms, looking over at Arjun.
"You didn't sleep?" Li Wei asked, rubbing his eyes.
Arjun shook his head. "I prefer to meditate."
Li Wei sighed. "That explains why you're so strong."
The noble boy, who had been pretending to be asleep, clenched his fists under the blanket. He had wanted to find fault with Arjun again, but after what happened last night, he knew better. There was no point in challenging someone he couldn't defeat.
Without speaking, the noble boy got up, dressed himself, and left the room without another word.
Li Wei looked at his departing figure and smirked. "I guess he learned his lesson."
Arjun stood up and stretched. "Let's get ready. Our first class is today."
Li Wei nodded excitedly. "Yeah! I'm looking forward to it."
After washing their faces and tidying themselves up, the two left the dormitory building and made their way toward the training grounds, where the students would gather before class.
As soon as Arjun stepped outside, he began looking for Zhao Yufeng.
After a few moments, he spotted his friend near the training field, standing with a relaxed posture, hands resting behind his head. Unlike Arjun, who had already encountered trouble, Yufeng looked like he had spent a peaceful first night.
"Yufeng!" Arjun called out.
Yufeng turned and grinned. "Arjun! How was your first night?"
Arjun smirked. "Not as peaceful as yours, it seems."
Yufeng raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
Arjun explained what had happened in his dormitory—the conflict with the noble boy, how he blocked the attack with a single finger, and how he flicked him across the room effortlessly.
When Yufeng heard this, he froze for a moment before his mouth fell open. "Wait… wait… you're already at the Third Realm of Body Tempering?! That's insane!"
Arjun simply smiled.
"You're a monster," Yufeng muttered, shaking his head. "I thought I was making progress, but you… you're just on another level."
Arjun chuckled. "It's not a competition. Just focus on improving at your own pace."
Yufeng sighed. "Easy for you to say, Mr. Genius."
They both laughed before deciding to go find Zhao Yufei.
It didn't take long for them to spot Zhao Yufei, who was standing near the girls' dormitory along with her roommate. Unlike Arjun, she had faced no conflicts on her first night.
As soon as she saw them approaching, she waved. "Finally! You guys are so slow!"
Yufeng laughed. "We were busy dealing with our little conflict resolution last night."
Yufei raised an eyebrow. "Conflict?"
Yufeng turned to Arjun. "You tell her."
Arjun sighed and once again explained what had happened in his dormitory.
By the time he finished, Yufei's eyes had widened in shock.
"You're already at the Third Realm?! That's ridiculous!" she exclaimed.
Yufeng nodded. "See? Even she agrees. This guy is a monster."
Yufei folded her arms. "I knew you were talented, but this… this is something else."
Arjun scratched the back of his head. "It's nothing special."
Yufei sighed. "You always say that, but it is special, Arjun. Do you even realize how rare it is for someone to reach the Third Realm before starting their first year? You're way ahead of everyone else."
Arjun shrugged. "I just trained harder."
Yufei shook her head but smiled. "Well, whatever the case, I'm glad you put that noble boy in his place. He deserved it."
Arjun smiled. "Let's just focus on learning. We're finally about to start our classes."
Yufei nodded. "Right. Let's go."
The three of them made their way toward the teaching halls, where the students were assigned their classes. The Gurukul of Vindhya was vast, divided into multiple regions for different levels of students—Outer, Inner, and Core Discipline.
As first-year students, they were part of the Outer Discipline.
The classroom was a large, open hall, with wooden desks arranged in rows. At the front, a tall man dressed in a white and gold robe stood with his hands behind his back. His presence alone demanded respect.
"That must be our teacher," Yufei whispered.
Students began filing into the room, taking their seats.
Arjun, Yufeng, and Yufei found seats together near the middle of the hall. As they settled in, Arjun noticed several students whispering and glancing toward him.
News of his conflict last night had already spread.
Yufeng smirked. "Looks like you're already famous."
Arjun sighed. "I hate unnecessary attention."
Yufei chuckled. "Well, too bad. You're stuck with it now."
Before Arjun could respond, their teacher stepped forward.
The teacher's sharp eyes scanned the students before he spoke.
"Welcome to the Gurukul of Vindhya. From today onward, you are not just children—you are cultivators."
His voice was powerful, carrying authority. The students immediately fell silent.
"The path of cultivation is not easy," he continued. "It is filled with hardship, challenges, and battles. Only those with unwavering determination will rise to greatness."
He paused, then asked, "Do any of you know the true structure of this world?"
Silence filled the room.
Arjun listened carefully, intrigued.
Seeing no response, the teacher nodded. "Then let me tell you. Our world is vast, divided into multiple realms of existence. But at the core of it all lies one fundamental rule—strength dictates everything."
Arjun's eyes narrowed.
The teacher continued.
"There are three fundamental realms of cultivation:
Body Tempering Realm – The first step, strengthening the body.Energy Condensation Realm – The first step into true cultivation, drawing energy from the world.Foundation Building Realm – Creating the true base of a cultivator's power.
The students listened in awe.
"For now, your goal is to master the Body Tempering Realm and prepare for the next step. But remember—talent means nothing without dedication."
His gaze swept over the room before stopping at Arjun.
"You," he said. "You are Arjun, correct?"
Arjun nodded. "Yes, sir."
The teacher smiled slightly. "I've heard rumors about your strength. We shall see if they are true."
Arjun simply nodded, unfazed.
The first day had only begun, but he could already tell—this journey was going to be interesting.
