Chu Yang led Yang Yan and the others as they leaped from the crater's edge, fleeing downward. Fish-men swarmed after them, cutting off escape routes.
A black raincoat-clad figure blocked their path—the same fish-man who had hunted Chu Yang relentlessly.
"It's you!" Chu Yang growled.
Outside, rain poured as Li Yuan stood at the entrance. The raven swooped in.
"Friendly reminder—hurry up. They won't hold out much longer."
"Understood."
Li Yuan flung off his hood and charged. Fish-men surged toward Chu Yang.
Yang Yan grabbed Chu Yang's arm. "Can you keep going?"
Battered and bleeding, Chu Yang nodded. "I've got... two Breath of the Abyss left. I'll manage!"
He lunged at Li Yuan, but a knee strike slammed into his chest. Two fish-men flanked him, claws ripping his abdomen.
*Thud!*
Li Yuan seized Chu Yang's head and smashed it repeatedly into the ground—cracks spiderwebbed outward, blood pooling.
With a final roar, Li Yuan hoisted Chu Yang's limp body and impaled his chest with razor-sharp claws. A brutal twist shredded organs before discarding the corpse.
Only Yang Yan and an unconscious officer remained. The fish-men tore through them without mercy.
*Bang!*
A bullet grazed Li Yuan's cheek, scales splintering. The wound healed instantly.
Spotlights flooded the area—police had surrounded the building.
"Drop your weapons! Hands on your head!"
Li Yuan glanced at Yang Yan's corpse—a tracking device clenched in its hand.
"Destroy this place!" he snarled.
A haunting whale-like cry erupted from his throat.
*BOOM!*
The second floor collapsed, debris sealing the South Dam's entrance. Fish-men swarmed, dragging Li Yuan away.
"Regroup with the Hive Queen."
By the time police breached the rubble, Li Yuan had vanished. All seventeen officers lay dead.
...
At South Dam's rooftop, the Hive Queen raged.
"You turned my home into a warzone! Repairs will cost millions! And you let that woman escape?!"
Li Yuan sat as fish-men dug bullets from his flesh. "My task was elimination. Cleanup is *your* duty."
The raven-girl slumped on a couch. "One survivor remains."
Li Yuan emitted a sonar pulse. Beneath the rubble, a heartbeat echoed—half-human, half-fish.
"Not one of mine," he muttered.
The raven dialed a number. "Handle the loose end. It's No.003."
...
Rain drenched the streets. Wang Haonan answered his phone.
"Cleanup required? Understood."
He vanished—yet rainwater continued cascading around an invisible umbrella-shaped void.
