Li Xue had always believed she was just an ordinary young woman, living a simple life in the bustling heart of Beijing. Growing up with her mother in a small but cozy apartment, she never imagined that her life was anything but ordinary. "Mom, what's going on?" Li Xue asked, sitting down next to her.

Li Xue stared at the envelope, her heart beating faster. "What truth?"

Her mother hesitated for a moment before speaking, her voice trembling. "You were never meant to grow up in this small apartment, working at a café. You come from a very wealthy family, one of the richest in China, and you... you are their heir."

Li Xue blinked in confusion. "What are you talking about? I don't have any rich relatives. All I've ever known is you and... nothing else."

Her mother's eyes filled with tears as she nodded. "I know, Xue. I know. But I had to protect you. Your father was a part of a powerful family, a family so wealthy and influential that they control industries and corporations across the country. I left them when I found out I was pregnant with you. They wanted you to be a pawn in their game of power, and I couldn't let that happen."

Li Xue's head was spinning. She was the heir to a powerful family? The thought seemed impossible. She had never known anything about her father's side, and her mother had never spoken of him.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" she whispered, struggling to grasp the magnitude of what her mother was saying.

"Because," her mother said softly, "I didn't want you to become a target. They've been looking for you all these years, and now, they know where you are. You are a part of the Li family, one of the most powerful families in the country. And there are people who will stop at nothing to control you."

"I don't want this," Li Xue said, her voice shaking. "I didn't ask for any of this."

"Brothers?" Li Xue asked in disbelief. "How? Why haven't I known about them?"

"They've been kept hidden from you, for your protection. Your eldest brother, Li Wei, is a billionaire CEO. The second, Chen Hao, is a famous actor. The third, Zhang Ming, is a genius hacker. And the fourth, Wang Lei, is a renowned doctor. They've all been waiting for you to come into your role."

Li Xue felt like she had been hit by a tidal wave. Four brothers? All successful and powerful in their own right? It was too much to comprehend.

Before she could speak, there was a sudden knock at the door. Her mother's eyes widened with fear. "They know you're here, Xue. They're coming for you."
