chapter four: the hunt

The townman, odie. Came out from a gun store after buying a newly revolver Ammo box as he then goes walking throught the sidewalk. He puts the ammo into his waistbag. People passing by avoided his sight as he walk. Some minding their bussines And are some uncomfortable around his giant present. A man nudges him by porpuse to attempt stealing his waist bag, but instead he just got his ring finger snap in a mere second as he Suddenly fall And yell in pain. Odie turn back And look down at the man, pretending he dint realise the man before leaving to head towards

"Mr one armed workshop".

(Gus'n's workshop.)

Gus'n was busy fixing a car with his prosthetic wrench arm, changing the oil to be specific. Odie enter the place as gus'n eyes goes wide, thinking that odie was a debt collector. In panic, Gus'n slide out from under the car. His face turn from Surprise to scowl as he sees his pal just casually came without even giving a warning or knocking.

" your fatass boots got me a heart attack...please dont do that again."

Odie just roll his eyes from under his sunglass as he looks down at Gus'n with his usual plain, blank, emotionless face... In fact odie never show any emotion other than anger, but he's now maintain his temper to the point he doesn't even care at Anything...

"Anything I can do, pal?"

Gus'n ask, questioning Odie's present.

"I need a revolver..."

That caught Gus'n off guard. The fact is there's no revolver that can fit to odie's finger because of how massive his hands are, but being the best pal Gus'n is to odie. He got up from the ground, stood his 6'2ft height before goes to his backroom where he created guns that are hided from the public eyes.... He's a silent merchant and Only odie he can trust.

"I got you, big guy. So... What ammo you gonna use?"

"JESUS CHRIST, what kind of use are you using on those ammo?? Hunting?"

There's an awkward silences between them until odie Corrected him after saying.

"Isnt It obvious?"

Gus'n lips ducked as he looks away, realising what kind of man odie is and what stuff he's always involved into. He then goes inside the room as he turning on the light. He looks around and takes a revolver that so big he struggle to pick it up with one hand since Gus'n only has One right arm.

Odie came into the room and pick the gun with ease. The gun was a Magnum Research BFR. An illegal gun that was considered so dangerous because one fire power can destroy a limp with a single pull of the trigger.

Imagine it like a sniper rifle, but small and can feet to a revolver holster.

Odie holded the gun like its nothing, just pocketing the gun in his waistbag as Gus'n just stare at how he just single handedly took the revolver from his hand.

They came out from the room as Gus'n brush off the dust from his shoulder. Odie started Talking. His tone gruff, deep yet manacing enought to sent a chill down a psychopath's spine

"Where's the girl I told you to taken care of..."

Gus'n quickly answered

"You are not gonna believe me...but hour ago- at night...a bright light shinen' at her room and when I check in... She's gone, completely."

Odie just Looks like he's bullshitting with him, Until Gus'n Contineu.

"I think that night she got ascend... Her body lights up at the bed and she just dissapear! I was shock and cannot see anything, Yet I see her figure floating until that light was gone! Taken her away.... You gotta believe me!"

Odie is unamused, but the face Gus'n make. Its clear that he is serious. Sweat coming down from gus'n face. Until Odie finally respond with sarcasm. "Right...like she was a time traveler or Something...I Guess we never know."

Hearing Odie's sarcastic respond, Gus'n face dropped. Knowing if odie giving him a sarcastic respond, then he never took his story seriously.

e then pretends to cought before asking Odie about the revolver.

"Anyway...what are you gonna do with that big gun, big pal?"

"Hunting..."

"Animals... Right?"

Gus'n face drops down Immedietly again from odie dismissing tone until he talks, hinting his curiousity of what odie may gonna do by saying.

"Alright, partner. I know what kind of a menace you are since years 1950, but what stuff are you onto right now?"

"Talking About our past isnt gonna change anything... But since you want me to take you to a "sessions" with me, then gear up and met me at the valley lake at one..."

Hearing that Gus'n was Surprised, like odie just read his mind all of a sudden.

"How... The hell did you know?"

"Its on your deamanor... And hell, the way you talk... Its nice you Remembering our past...but we gotta move forward...so either you come with me or not... your choice."

With that odie walks out from Gus'n's workshop as Gus'n stand There, stunned for a mere second before he snap back to his reality and goes to pack his stuff to go hunting with townman himself.

Four hours later.

There Gus'n got on time as he come across the valley lake. The lake is known to have a big deep dark Crack underneath the water. Back then the crack was huge and wide, Now its just filled with dead corpses and skeleton. People said it was used by a cultist for a sacrifies that led to hundred people being massacred into the lake. Some said it was used as a corpse dumping waste back in the 1700s. As Gus'n look around the area, there's, Odie looking down at the clear yet dirty water of the lake as he pulling out a cigarette and light it up using a matches for a smoke at the chilling yet horrifying river of where dead corpses stucked and sucked into the crack of the earth Where they rest: unproperly inside the water aboves the soil They Should have been. Then a skull emerge and floating on the water but odie doesn't gives a fuck. He just smoking and enjoying the rarely beauty of nature of malbuja...that beside his cabin house from afar who looks abandoned and forgotten, just like the people above him.

Gus'n Approaches from the back, tapping his palm into Odie's back as they stood there admiring the place with naked eyes, truly beautiful yet morbid scene at the same time.

"So... What are We hunting?"

"...deep in the woods. We should get moving."

With that being said Gus'n follows Odie from behind as they goes into the bushes, where they begin their hunt.

the wind breezes as the forest singing. Gus'n have been following odie for the past hours and yet they Dint even catch or kill any animal...but they stayed cautious and alert. As Gus'n carry his kar98k, the same one he used to fight against the former leader of malbuja back in the desperate year of the town. From below where they walk to the deep woods. they came across two hunters. The hunters appeared to be a abusing a poor yellow deer. They watch as the hunters kick the deer's body, Contineusly beating it to plump.

Gus'n enraged as he witnessing the cruelty. He sees the deer as the people of malbuja and the hunters as the lawn forcement who beats them senseless and kills Them inhumanely. His ptsd triggers this tragedy, but before he can points his kar98k. Odie fires the revolver with one hand as he killed one of the hunters. The bullet blowing up and destroying the hunter's skull as their body fall to the ground motionless. The other one shock and look around but couldnt find the one who just fires the shot.

Gus'n load the riffle before immedietly fires, shotting the hunter's neck as they fall to the ground, screaming in pain and agony. they squirm while holding their wounded throat, gagging for air and desperate to live. Gus'n load another bullet Before ending the last hunter's life by blowing up the hunter's head. Blood splatter to the ground as two dead and headless body laying there after those shots.

The yellow deer then open it eyes before running away from the scene.

Free from the cruelty and free from violence the hunterses has cause.

The two odie and Gus'n sigh as the deer is running Away, But mother nature said the otherwise Because then the deer got shot dead immedietly as its body froze and lay on the river. The hunter who shot the deer then goes to drag the deer body to the land as they tied it ankle up before carrying it by their shoulder.

Gus'n was furious, all those bullets for nothing... But odie stays silence as the hunter goes away into the woods. Gus'n then speak.

"Who gave them the permits to do these..."

"They dont...they're not even from this country."

"Illegals...."

Gus'n mutter. He realise that these hunters may be an illegal operations.

Odie then speak again.

"Now you know what 'thing' we Gonna hunt today..."

Gus'n nodded and replied.

"Yeah..."

Gus'n said in an unease tone. He felt sense of remorse even when the two hunters were killed are committing animal cruelty, but in the end of their lifes they still a human being who live and breath the same air as him.

Odie on the other hand felt nothing. A deep void of remorselessness. A heart that beating slowly as the emphaty are slowly fading. A mind full of spaces because not much damn it have to remember, And only a memory of humbleness, intelligences, love, and regret he can only be remembered... But not a single emotion other then ANGER who he's now holding.

The other hunter then find the two body of the two hunter. The hunter then yells "holy shit!?" They then runs to their bases to inform this to other.

"Dont you Think we should follow That guy... I think he's heading towards somewhere."

Gus'n said to odie.

"No...were not prepared...come, we gotta be ready for another brawl against these people."

With that being said. Gus'n follows Odie on hus back as they left the bush where they assassinated the two hunters. They are gonna prepare for something...BIG.

Meanwhile

The hunter ran in a hurry, pushing away other hunters as they muttering and even calling him out as a douchebag until he reach the boss's tent. Standing in 7'0ft.

Simon "panther" de kumba.

A giant from africa, known for his ruthless hunting operations across the northen countries. Simon looks down at his hunter in irritation as they speak.

"B-boss! There's someone killed our men! Seriously!!"

The panic hunter stutter.

Simon humming and narrowed his eye. He gaze upon the hunter's face with those green sharp eyes like a predator. Commands the hunter with a single sentence with a manacing tone. "Go get the other."

the hunter nods he look up to Simon in fear as he stuttering nervously.

"Y-y-y-yes boss..."

the hunter goes out of Simon's tent and goes to get Other hunters. Simon turn back to the view he's gazing on. the scene of nature As he imagine himself as the king of the forest, conquering everything infront of him as he fantasize how it feels to have everything from fame, respect, power, and wealth. Its just matter of time until he gets this forest down.... Unaware of the bigger threats that are coming for him.

9Pm later.

The night has arrive as the dark surrounding filled the thickened the thrill, many hunters surrounding the area. They are fully armed with an ak47 and a lantern as they look From every corner of the shadow.

"Man I sure hope I can get home and see my wif..."

suddenly a termite marksman bullet hits the hunter neck. The sparks of heat burned the hunter by the wound as they screamed in blood, gagging before another termite bullet flies and shot the head. The bullet pierce the hunter's head, killing them instant as other hunter nearby sees this and panic grabbing the radio to report.

"We got code crimson, I repeat! We got code crim-"

A gigantic hand then gripped the hunter's skull before then they got executed by Odie, snapping their neck, killing them instantly Before their being dropped and the skull; stomped and crushed under his feet. 

Emerge from the shadow is Gus'n with his riffle in his hand as he look down at odie in disgust and awe. Odie turn to him with his blank and terrifying face before turning and goes to where the hunters base camp is.

Gus'n follow along from behind as he holds a flashlight of his own. His light flash to Odie's back, full of scars of countless battles and fight odie have face to and yet he still standing and contineu to persue. He's an absolute unit of a man, as he walks through the bushes towards the base camp of the hunters. the bases gate Suddenly open from the outside. Nearby soldier was confused until a barrel of fuel rolled towards them. It started more confusions among the hunters before a termite bullet suddenly shotted the fuel as the spark then causing an explosion that spread everywhere as the fire quickly eats the other hunters tents. The hunters who was alseep inside the tents that were catch on fire, burned, and killed many hunters inside. Odie charges forward with Gus'n supporting from his Back using his kar98k, he manage to take down the hight towers snipers while Odie uses his spas-12, blasting dragon's breath shells of ammo towards the hunters.

Simon could hear countless of his men got slaughtered and murdered outside of his tent. While everyone is fighting to death to stop the two men. Simon just sat there, saving time for his plan.

Outside the tent:

Odi have killed all the hunters using the spas-12 as The hunters bodies around the places and every corner appeared burnt, blood pouring from their bodies from the open wound. Many falls in agony by the massacred. A whimper and a grunt can be heard among them whom fall onto their demise. Gus'n came to check. He witness what odie is capable of. 31 men have he killed from the carnage

With 14 more killed by Gus'n from behind Odie's back. And now its their leader next to be confronted by the two.

Simon has armed himself with a vest and assault rifle, mp44. He stepped out from his tent as the two Odie and Gus'n seeing the panther who's clearly bigger than odie himself.

"You all pay for what you've done!"

Simon yells before firing the rifle at them. In reflex Gus'n roll and duck to take cover, but odie roll use a fat hunter's corpse as a shield as he began blasting his shotgun at Simon's position.

Simon's was on rampage until his armed was blast off by the shotgun, but he dint gives up. Instead he charges and lunging his way towards odie. Simon sees a gap and start tackling odie down, but to surprise odie counter that move with a strong hold to simon's body then follow by

slamming his body to a burning tent as simon began screaming in pain while Odie surpressed it with ease as the hot fire burnt his both arm's skin.

Simon tries to get up as the fire burning his back, but odie kept him down until He gets off from simon's body then grab his ankles before throwing him off to a pile of sharp and pointy woods that used to make a hunting spears. As simon's body crashes down with the pile of spiky woods, he was impaled in the heart, skull, throat, and pelvis. He gag blood as he twitcht from the overwhelming pain, tears run down from his eyes as the pain he suffers contineu.

Simon's medic who's hiding all along, watch the scene from behind a bushes with a ghillie suit and wide eyes as tears falling down from her eyes at the brutality she witness. Gus'n also have to force himself to watch the scene as he's shaken by the overwhelming thrill of gore.

Not enought, odie approaches simon in his situation before began to brutally beating him with his bare bloody hands as Gus'n watch in horror of the scene.

Simon let out a blood from his mouth after the beat. He sure he's suppose to die, but looks like god really sent satan himself to punish him for what he's done. Odie may look. Small, but he's toying with him and shows that size doesnt matter when it come to kill and massacred. With a grip of the devil. He rips it off simon's heart with his barehand. The medic, and Gus'n watch in shocked, fear, awe, and Surprise to the scene Infront of them as simon screaming, gag in bubbly blood from his mouth.

Odie then shows the heart still beating to simon face who's even thought dying yet he's still alive. His conscious body on the spikes as his other hand was trying to reach for his heart. Simon tries to speak, but the Blood pouring filling his mouth prevents him as the spike on his throat deepened. His eyes... Staring at odie...no...a monster. A demon that Will sent him to hell.... There simon

Will remember...in the eye of fear.



All left now was Odie and Gus'n

The intense heat dint effect odie the slightest. He stood there as the fire start eating up the place. But a woman screaming was caught his attention. The medic that was hiding caught on fire as her ghillie suit got her burning. Gus'n goes to try to help her to get the suit off. He successfully saved the woman before helping out from Getting out from the place.

Odie watch as they left. He stood there on the fire before he walk deeper and into the fire on porpuse to his presence not to be seeing by anyone.

Gus'n look back as he watchest odie go.

"Is he...killing himself?"

Ask the woman Gus'n save.

Gus'n stayed silent. He knows odie dint die, Rather hiding from the public eyes. Since Gus'n and the woman was the only witness, odie's disappearance was planned and Gus'n knows it.

7 weeks later.

malbuja has been shocked by the news.

"An illegal animal hunter bases has been massacred. Over 45 men bodies found from the debries of seems like a camp of an illegal activities. The leader was known, but we found a disfigured body that was bigger than the rest. The body found, burned with the chest, skull, and pelvis impaled on a wooden spears'. Mayor christopher said he dont have any idea Where the camp come from. Investigation still going on and the truth is still unknown..."

Along with the news, an article of the lake valley has drop showing that

"the bodies of the men has been dumped into the lake as an ashes spread around to the lake to save ecosystem. The malbuja corpse cleaners (mcc) has been cremated all the corpses of the body from the incident. Mayor christopher said it was a better thing to do then wasting more of a body bag and due to the Graveyard has been full from pass this year."

Gus'n appear walking deep into the forest and to an abandoned cabin. There Someone opens the door and it reveal to be odie. Well and fine, with only some burned marks on his body.

"Just to make sure if you're fine, buddy..."

Odie scoff and gesture him to come In if he wants. There Gus'n enters the place as the door closed from inside.

There the day goes with both of them eating seasoned spice fufu gus'n bring while fishing at the back of the cabin that is connected with the lake valley.

But threats still lurking in the dark...
