The soft hum of the café was a comforting backdrop as Joon, Soo-ah, and Hyun-soo gathered around their usual table, the remnants of their pizza scattered across the wooden surface. The success of Cultural Exchange Day still buzzed in their minds, but a new question loomed over them.
"What's next?" Soo-ah asked, her eyes shining with excitement. "We pulled off something amazing, but we can't stop now. We have to keep the momentum going!"
Joon leaned back, tapping his fingers on the table. "True, but we need to make sure whatever we do next is sustainable. We don't just want a one-time event—we want something that leaves a lasting impact."
Hyun-soo, who had been quiet as usual, cleared his throat. "Maybe... we should focus on individuals. We've brought people together, but what if we helped them in more personal ways?"
Soo-ah tilted her head. "Like how?"
Hyun-soo hesitated before pulling out his phone. "There's this kid in my neighborhood. His name is Min-jae. He used to be outgoing, always playing soccer with his friends. But lately… he barely comes outside. I heard his family is struggling financially, and it's affecting him a lot."
Joon's expression darkened. "That's tough."
Soo-ah snapped her fingers. "Wait—what if Bridge to Hope starts a mentorship program? We can pair up volunteers with people who need guidance, encouragement, or even just a friend."
Joon nodded slowly. "That could work. We have enough connections now to find volunteers, and if we do it right, it could really change lives."
Hyun-soo's eyes flickered with something close to hope. "Then… maybe we start with Min-jae?"
Soo-ah beamed. "Yes! We'll talk to him, see what he needs, and go from there."
For the first time in a long while, Hyun-soo felt like he was part of something bigger than himself. And as they left the café that evening, the ripples of change had already begun to spread.
