"You guys even dabble in organ trafficking? Well, in this era, the disappearance of a few hundred people here and there is hardly surprising."
A black-haired young man, dressed in a Victorian-style tailcoat, flipped through the files in his hands, occasionally exclaiming things like, "How did this even get approved?"
"You must be a Magus, correct?"
A middle-aged man with glasses sat bound to a leather couch made from beast hide. Yet, despite his predicament, he remained unnervingly calm, displaying a fawning smile.
"If there's something you desire, my lord, I can provide it at any time—be it material wealth or even magical resources, all within my reach."
But Jiang You ignored him, continuing to sift through the intelligence gathered from Hundred-Faces' interrogation and investigation.
"So many people… and even a member of parliament? This guy is running for Prime Minister while simultaneously engaging in human trafficking, human experimentation, cult sacrifices, and drug dealing… Your business operations are quite diverse."
Jiang You felt a dull ache just from reading these reports. In this world, cults probably do gain power from their rituals. The sheer weight of the text and accompanying images doused whatever amusement he had left.
The upper echelons had been tacitly approving these activities all along. They were the beneficiaries. He wondered if an underground market like this existed in the 1994 Fuyuki timeline as well. Perhaps it was time for a little chat with Tohsaka Tokiomi.
Jiang You turned to Hundred-Faces, who had been silently standing beside him. Then, almost unconsciously, he recited a line:
"Let's burn Fuyuki to ashes!"
"As you command, Master. We are already en route to the gas company. Once we trigger an explosion—"
Hundred-Faces, as a Hassan, lacked much empathy for ordinary people. She would execute Jiang You's orders with precision. While she found his sudden change in demeanor odd, she still immediately set the "Burn Fuyuki Plan" into motion. Gas stations were also marked as key targets.
Based on her initial calculations, barring external interference, it would take only five hours for the flames to consume 30% of Fuyuki City.
"Wait, wait!"
Jiang You hadn't expected Hundred-Faces to act that quickly. At this rate, he'd have no choice but to restart the game.
"I was speaking metaphorically! I just wanted to help accelerate the anti-crime operation a little."
"In that case, Master—"
Hundred-Faces seamlessly adjusted her mission parameters. Within moments, multiple Hassans had marked their targets on a city map.
"There are currently 15 individuals tied to the underground market—politicians, business tycoons, and Magi alike. The leading parliament member is right here in Fuyuki City. If we act tonight, we can eliminate everyone except the Magi. Oh, and by the way—our former Master is also on the list."
"Aren't Magi supposed to maintain the 'Mystery' of the world?!"
Hearing Jiang You casually decide his fate, the middle-aged man finally started struggling.
"If you carry out a large-scale purge like this, both the Church and the Mage's Association will never permit it! You'll be making enemies of the entire magical world!"
He clung to this warning like a lifeline, hoping to deter Jiang You. Then, attempting to prove his value, he added:
"Killing me won't solve anything! I'm just a single link in the chain. Even if I die, someone else will take my place. But if you spare me, I can mediate for you from the inside—"
"I'm here to play a game, not entertain your Paradox Interactive power struggles."
Jiang You pinched the man's forehead. The sheer force made his skull creak, and through bone conduction, he could hear the warning groans of his own near-fracturing skull.
"But you have given me an idea—this situation lacks exposure. We need to make an even bigger scene."
Just like Kiritsugu once said, Jiang You was an ordinary person unable to suppress his own compassion. In reality, he often found himself infuriated by injustice, wishing he could do something for the unfortunate. But constrained by his own lack of power and resources, all he could do was offer silent support.
Here, in this game, he wouldn't be held back by rules. He didn't care about the Magi's so-called "secrecy." After all—he wasn't a Magus.
"This Holy Grail War is shaping up to be far too ordinary."
Jiang You and Medea had already inspected several major ley lines. Based on their findings, it was unlikely that any rogue "Beast" would emerge to disrupt events.
"So why don't we turn you all into an entry ticket—transforming Fuyuki City into a playground?"
"I'll offer Soul Crystals as prizes. I imagine no Magus will be able to resist that. And of course, so long as you survive, you'll have a shot at the rewards too."
Jiang You released the middle-aged man's head, patting it lightly in a mockingly reassuring gesture before activating his Noble Phantasm to capture him within its effect.
"Hundred-Faces, kidnap the parliament member. Then prepare to seize the TV station. As the event organizer, it's only proper that we announce our plans to all of Fuyuki City."
Jiang You was starting to enjoy himself. Creating a large-scale event within the game felt like an entirely new experience.
"Medea, set up a boundary around Fuyuki City. Nothing too restrictive—just make sure these fourteen people can't escape."
Jiang You gestured for Hundred-Faces to pass the marked city map to Medea.
"You really do whatever you please, don't you?"
Medea, used entirely as a tool, complained while taking the map. However, with her own wicked streak, she couldn't deny that there was a certain thrill in Jiang You's plan.
"Don't worry, this is trivial. Just a flick of my fingers."
"Now then—"
Suddenly, a crimson flash streaked past Jiang You's vision.
If not for the inexplicable sense of danger that prompted him to dodge, the strike would have gone straight through his skull.
Not that it would have killed him—just forcibly dragged him into a duel.
"Who?"
Jiang You's gaze landed on the red spear embedded in the wall. Both Hundred-Faces and Medea immediately assumed battle-ready stances. Since they weren't summoned through the normal system, they didn't trigger Jiang You's Noble Phantasm.
"You actually dodged that? With your stance, it's clear you've got no real combat experience."
Perched on the window ledge was a Servant with short, braided blue hair, clad in a tight blue bodysuit. The red spear, almost alive, responded to his call and returned to his grasp.
"Caster, rules are rules. Breaking them so brazenly isn't exactly a good habit. My Master isn't happy, so I'll have to ask you—kindly step aside."
Lancer—Cu Chulainn—lowered his stance, exuding unmistakable killing intent.
"Cu Chulainn, huh? So, Kotomine Kirei finally decided to make a move?"
Jiang You instantly recognized him—the "Hound of Ulster," the Child of Light. If he was here, that meant his Master was Kotomine Kirei in this timeline.
"...Who the hell is that?"
But Cu Chulainn's response was not what Jiang You expected.
