Chapter 105: Archer: Set Your Noble Phantasm’s Target to Earth!

"So, Red Archer, you're planning to join my side?"

Jiang You looked at Medusa, who had returned with a dark-skinned, white-haired man, and immediately realized things were about to get chaotic. Now, among Tohsaka Rin's team, the only Servants still somewhat functional were Jason and Cú Chulainn. Not to mention Gilgamesh, who was busy enjoying his game, and Illyasviel, who was still caught up in the rankings war — if a real battle broke out, they likely wouldn't help at all.

If this were a normal Holy Grail War, this would be a cause for celebration. But Jiang You wasn't here for the Grail — he had impulsively started an event for the NPCs as a "player" because of the straightforward storyline.

Ever since the event began, rewards from the duels between magi had been pouring into his mailbox nonstop. Most of them were junk cards — blank, heavily conditional, or weak — but it sparked a new idea in him: he could broadly deploy his Noble Phantasm to sweep through opponents en masse.

But now, with nearly all the participants on his side... what was left to play?

Still, he was satisfied that just a few minutes ago, he had received a reward for boosting Red Archer's affection level, obtaining several cards related to the "Emiya" entry. It was a small but real gain — though he had no idea why the affection reward had triggered.

"The red Archer, huh? That's an interesting title. It does help distinguish me from the other Emiya. Let's go with that."

Hearing this new title for the first time, Red Archer — the Servant Emiya — accepted it readily.

"I'm a pragmatist. I side with whoever has the better chance of winning."

"That's something you should probably say to Medea..."

Jiang You internally groaned. This was exactly what Red Archer said in the anime too — and Medea ended up dead within two episodes. He wasn't planning to follow that script.

Jokes aside, the affection rewards from Emiya were surprisingly generous, suggesting he genuinely held some goodwill toward Jiang You.

"Thanks for joining. But I'm still going to run the event. I'd appreciate it if you actively participated."

"I won't break the rules! Honestly, I think your Noble Phantasm has real potential to resolve conflict. Ambushes and battles could all turn into fair card duels, leaving room for compromise in every attack."

Red Archer truly believed in the possibility of peace through Jiang You's Noble Phantasm. He had long grown tired of being used as a tool to take lives."Assassinations, ambushes, mass destruction weapons would all lose their meaning! Humanity's disputes would be settled through duels instead!"

Red Archer's affection continued to skyrocket — it even hit triple max. Jiang You hadn't expected it to rise so quickly; the way Archer looked at him now was downright unsettling.

The more Red Archer spoke, the more fired up he got. He suddenly slammed the table and stood up, the force causing the tea in front of Medusa to splash, startling her."Caster! Let's expand your Noble Phantasm's reach to the entire world!"

Well, it wasn't that Red Archer didn't want to be a "hero of justice" — he had simply given up hope. Now that he saw a possible path forward, he seemed to revert back to the righteous man who once fought on battlefields as a mercenary.

Wiping imaginary cold sweat from his forehead, Jiang You thought, Maybe Red Archer should be the one running this event.

"Calm down, have some water first," Jiang You said.

"Actually... it's not impossible."

Jiang You seriously considered the feasibility. Based on Fuyuki's mana consumption, with over ten thousand cities worldwide, they would need around 300,000 Command Spells to fully activate the effect. Even bringing Chaldea's OP Masters into the equation, it would cost about 100,000 Saint Quartz. That's a lot of NP5 Servants. And if left to natural mana recovery, it would take 274 years.

"The real problem is that we can't solve the mana consumption issue."

Although Soul Crystals had nearly limitless energy, Jiang You couldn't use them. After many failed attempts, even Medea had given up teaching him. She concluded Jiang You was practically a magic insulator — the only magic he could ever tap into was through his Noble Phantasm.

"No problem. Maybe the Holy Grail can help us!" Red Archer said eagerly."Caster, didn't you purify the Holy Grail before?"

"Well, not exactly..." Jiang You corrected him."In fact, it was a Beast that absorbed the taint of All the World's Evils. If we had a vessel to host that evil, and then used a Shadow Game to defeat it, it might just work."

In Yu-Gi-Oh terms, if the rules say you get dragged into the Shadow Realm, then you get dragged into the Shadow Realm — even Beasts couldn't resist. Let alone All the World's Evils.

"Then what are we waiting for! I'll go grab some magi right now...!"

Red Archer's moral compass didn't seem to be particularly high.

At that moment, Assassin, who had been running around, hurriedly returned with Matou Sakura.

"Rider, I heard from Hundred-Faces that Archer..."

Matou Sakura had barely stepped into the room when she saw the extremely fired-up Red Archer. Virtual singularities formed from imaginary numbers were crackling around him.

"Wait! I can explain—"

Red Archer almost twisted his arm off from the unstable dimensional magic, and if Jiang You hadn't intervened in time, he might have had to start considering prosthetics.

"When you're working, don't disconnect from the network without warning,"Hundred-Faces' main body scolded the clone who had brought Sakura.

"Well, whatever. Since everyone's already here, let's have dinner together."

Jiang You checked the time and realized it was already mealtime, so he invited everyone to sit. He ordered an extravagant Japanese imperial feast — something he could never afford in real life. Since the game had perfect flavor simulation, he intended to fully indulge himself.

-

"Ugh, it's already dinner? What a hassle. Normally, I could track Caster using Runes, but with the whole of Fuyuki flooded by his Noble Phantasm's effects, it's basically impossible to find him now."

Walking through the chaotic streets of Fuyuki, Cú Chulainn grumbled. He didn't even bother hiding anymore — the locals had developed an insane level of mental fortitude to tolerate roaming magi.

"Man, this guy's even flashier than a duel,"Gilgamesh, aboard his massive golden Vimana, streaked across the sky, seemingly searching for something.

"By the way, Caster's prisoners are probably almost all dead by now. Looks like the finals are approaching. Maybe I'll just wait until then to crash the party,"

"Unfortunately, looks like you won't even make it to the finals."

A smug, irritating voice rang out behind Cú Chulainn — so weak he hadn't even sensed it.

"Yeah, I'm talking to you, you blue-haired guy!"

"What the hell? You're just a blue-haired seaweed too!"

Cú Chulainn retorted with equal disdain.

"You're a Servant, right?"Shinji Matou scrutinized Cú Chulainn, followed closely by a crowd of onlookers.

"Come duel me!"
