"I will go and get the first aid kit," I said as I stood up from the bed and made my way into the bathroom.

The moment I closed the door behind me, I took a deep breath and leaned against the sink. My fingers gripped the edges tightly, my mind spinning with everything that had just happened. The room was a disaster—lamps broken, glass scattered everywhere, the TV smashed to pieces. I had known Heinrich had a temper, but this? This was on a different level.

I sighed and reached for the first aid kit from the cabinet. I had seen Heinrich lose control before, but the fact that he had injured himself in the process told me just how bad his anger and worry had been. And all of this… just because he couldn’t reach me? Just because I had left without informing him?
