chapter 2: Night heats up

Tanica's breath hitched as Kirk's lips trailed down the side of her neck, his hands gripping her waist firmly. The heat between them was undeniable, the tension coiling tighter with each passing second. The car's hood was cool beneath her, a stark contrast to the fire igniting in her skin.

"You always did like control," she teased, her fingers curling into his shirt, pulling him closer.

Kirk smirked against her skin. "And you always liked testing my limits."

His hands slid lower, exploring the curves he had only ever imagined touching. The scent of leather and the faint tinge of gasoline mixed with the intoxicating warmth of her skin, making his head spin. Tanica arched into him as he pressed a lingering kiss just above the neckline of her dress, teasing, taking his time.

"You're playing with fire," she murmured, her voice thick with anticipation.

Kirk lifted his head, his dark eyes meeting hers. "Then let it burn."

Just as he was about to take things further, headlights flickered in the distance, slicing through the darkness. They both froze, their heavy breathing the only sound as the car approached. Tanica pushed him back slightly, her heart hammering against her ribs.

"Someone's coming," she whispered.

Kirk's jaw tightened. He wasn't ready to stop, not when they were just getting started. But he knew they couldn't risk being seen—not here, not like this. He grabbed her hand and led her to the passenger side, yanking open the door. "Get in."

Tanica hesitated only a second before slipping inside. Kirk slid behind the wheel, the engine roaring to life as he threw the car into gear. Gravel kicked up behind them as they sped away, leaving behind nothing but the memory of heated breaths and unfinished business.

Tanica glanced over at him, her chest rising and falling rapidly. "Where are we going?"

Kirk's grip on the wheel tightened. "Somewhere we won't be interrupted."

Her lips curled into a knowing smile, her thighs pressing together at the thought. She leaned over, her fingers skimming along his arm as she whispered, "Then drive faster."
