After spending quality time with Kavya, Manik dropped her off at her apartment and left. However, the moment Kavya entered, Jyoti bombarded her with questions. Jyoti was extremely upset with her.
"What's wrong with you, Kavya? You've changed so much! Will you please tell me what the problem is?"
"Nothing's wrong, Jyoti," Kavya said once again, ignoring her questions, and walked into her room. Jyoti was already overloaded with work, and Kavya didn't want to stress her out by telling her everything.
The next morning, as soon as Nikhil arrived at the office, he found Manik already sitting there, carefully going through a presentation. Without even looking at Nikhil, Manik said, "Kavya's ideas are very unique and excellent."
Nikhil was more angry than surprised to see Manik there. "Yeah, I know... but leave that aside and—"
Before Nikhil could finish, Manik stood up, threw a file in front of him — the one he had prepared in Bangalore the previous week — and said, "The presentation is complete. Start working on it."
Without another word, Manik started walking toward the door. Just as he reached it, he turned around and glared at Nikhil.
"If you ever send another male employee to Kavya again, I'll kill you. And fire that idiot Sanjay from the company immediately!"
The night before, Manik had found out that Nikhil had sent a new employee named Sanjay to Kavya for training — the same guy Manik had seen with her at the café. Knowing this, Manik completely lost his temper and showed up at the office early just to fire Sanjay himself.
After giving his warning, Manik left, leaving Nikhil shouting behind him.
"You psycho! Are you out of your mind?!"
But Manik was gone, so Nikhil grabbed a glass of water from his desk, downed it in one go, and muttered, "This idiot has completely lost it!"
That day, Kavya's life took a whole new turn. Manik had now fully become her obsessive boyfriend, constantly hovering around her. During office hours, he wouldn't leave her side, and sometimes at night, he would take her to his apartment under the pretense that he only wanted to sleep beside her. But that promise would often break because having Kavya so close made it impossible for him to control himself — like trying to put out a fire with petrol.
This became Manik's daily routine, and Kavya had no choice but to follow along like a helpless robot.
But today, Manik crossed all limits when Kavya's hand accidentally touched a male employee's, and Manik beat him so brutally he was left half-dead.
Manik then gave Kavya a clear warning — "From now on, you will not talk to any male employee at the office."
Kavya was shocked. "Then I might as well quit my job! 70% of the employees here are men. Without communication, how will we do our work? This is a team environment, Manik!"
For a moment, Manik felt uneasy but quickly responded. "Fine — but you'll keep your distance when talking to them. If anyone dares to touch you, I'll break their hands and legs!"
Terrified, Kavya silently went back to work. She no longer had the strength to argue with him.
But Manik's behavior disturbed her so much that, without telling anyone, she resigned from the company and went home.
The night before, Manik had to urgently return to Bangalore for office work, and Kavya saw this as the perfect opportunity to escape from his madness.
The next day, despite Manik calling her several times, Kavya didn't answer any of his calls. Frustrated, Manik called Nikhil to ask about her.
"Kavya's taken a week off," Nikhil told him.
"What?! A week off?!" Manik was stunned.
Kavya knew Manik would go crazy if he found out she resigned, so she had only mailed her resignation to Nikhil, requesting a week off instead.
Manik's mind filled with questions, so he wrapped up his work in Bangalore as fast as possible to return.
Three days later, Manik finally found out that Kavya had resigned.
Nikhil told him, "Her resignation letter arrived by post this morning."
Manik canceled all his meetings and immediately rushed back to Mumbai.
The entire way, his mind boiled with anger —
"You've made a big mistake, Kavya... I warned you. Now you'll have to pay for this, and it won't be pleasant!"
He got Kavya's home address from Nikhil and went straight to her house — but she wasn't home.
Later, when Kavya returned, Manik came up with a plan to stay close to her.
He rented the top floor of her building.
Kavya's family found Manik sweet and well-mannered, so they happily let him rent the place.
Manik, being his clever self, managed to get Kavya's new phone number from her younger sister Anu's phone. That's how he tracked her location.
Without wasting time, he reached a mall where Kavya was shopping with Vicky.
Vicky and Kavya were soon to be married, so they spent a lot of time together shopping for their wedding.
While shopping, Kavya spotted a man in a black cape and mask staring at them angrily.
Manik!
It was impossible for Kavya to not recognize him — his eyes were enough.
Panic surged through her, and she made an excuse to send Vicky to the car while she tried to slip away.
But Vicky insisted on going for dinner, so she had no choice but to join him.
"Don't worry, Kavya. I'll talk to your dad and drop you home safely," Vicky reassured her.
Meanwhile, Manik followed them like a shadow.
When their food arrived, Kavya ate quickly, making Vicky laugh.
Manik, however, was furious watching Vicky with her.
"What the hell is this bastard doing?! If he keeps staring at her like this, I'm going to lose my mind!"
As Manik muttered to himself, his anger exploded — Vicky was feeding Kavya with his own hands.
"That's my right, you bastard!"
Manik was about to storm over when Kavya spotted him. Her heart froze, and she made an excuse to go to the washroom.
Seeing her leave, Manik smirked — "That's my girl."
After calming herself, Kavya stepped out of the washroom, looked around, but couldn't see Manik. Relieved, she started walking back when suddenly Manik appeared behind her.
"Looking for me, baby doll?"
He had been waiting there all along.
"What are you doing here, Manik? What do you want now?"
Manik pouted. "Baby, I should be the one asking you that — what are you doing here without telling me?"
After being apart for three days, Manik was desperate to hold her. He grabbed her hand and hugged her tightly.
"You have no idea how much I missed you!"
Kavya shoved him away. "Are you crazy? This is a public place!"
Manik just smiled. "Alright, sweetie... now go home immediately before I send your fiancé to the hospital. And remember — if you get too close to him, tomorrow's headlines will be about his death."
Terrified, Kavya quickly said goodbye to Vicky and went home — only to find Manik calmly having tea with her family.
"This can't be happening!"
Kavya trembled inside.
Manik gave her a victorious smile — a clear reminder that she could never escape him.
"Hello, Miss Kavya!"
Kavya forced a weak "hello" and ran to her room, too scared to even come out for dinner.
At 12:30 a.m., everyone was asleep except for Kavya, who couldn't even blink.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed.
"Are you coming up, or should I come down?"
Frightened, she knew if she didn't go, Manik would come to her room.
When she reached him, he smiled. "You took too long."
When he came closer, she slapped him.
"You're insane! Get yourself treated!"
Manik didn't react. He placed his drink down, grabbed her waist, and whispered —
"You're my disease and my cure, sweetheart."
Then he forcefully kissed her.
What followed was a wild, painful night Kavya couldn't escape.
