LUNA'S POV- HOME SWEET HOME

As I stepped out of the car, I couldn't shake off the feeling that I had been lost in thought for the entire ride. The driver's voice brought me back to reality, and I realized that we had arrived at my destination. I paid the driver, grabbed my bags, and headed towards the front door.

I knocked on the door, and my mom answered, looking surprised to see me. I hugged her tightly, feeling a mix of emotions: happiness, relief, and a hint of guilt for not being able to shake off thoughts of Betty and her secrets.

My mom welcomed me inside, and I couldn't help but notice the familiar scent of our home. It was a smell that brought back memories of my childhood, memories that I had thought were long forgotten.

As I entered the living room, I looked around for Scott, but he was nowhere to be found. I asked my mom where he was, and she told me that he had gone to school but would be back soon.

"Okay, mom, that's fine. I missed the house so much, and I can't wait to eat," I said, trying to contain my excitement.

My mom chuckled and replied, "Yeah, I was actually waiting for you to say something about that."

We both laughed at the statement, and after the laughter, Scott entered the room. I ran to hug him, and he hugged me back, but in a strange way. I looked at him with confusion and asked, "What, aren't you happy to see me?"

Scott replied, "Well, I am, but I didn't want to contact any microorganisms from your sweat and all. I'm very sure you haven't taken your bath since you came back from your trip, so that's the reason behind the hugging."

My mom interrupted, "Scott, don't say that to your sister. I mean, she missed you a lot, and I don't think she means any harm. Besides, she's your elder sister."

Scott smiled and said, "I know, mom, and I missed her too. Well, I'd like to go freshen up. I'll be back. Love you, sis."

I chuckled and excused myself to the restroom to freshen up as well. After I was done, I came to the dining room, and we had dinner.

As we finished eating, I suggested, "Guys, why don't we watch a movie since I'm back?"

My mom asked Scott, "What do you think about that?"

I jumped in, "Mom, why do you need Scott's opinion on this? I mean, he has no choice. I'm the eldest, and I have every right to make a general decision, right, Scott?"

Scott replied, "Well, yes, you do have a limit to which you can give your opinions, because what if I had an assignment?"

I interrupted, "Hold up, hold up. Thank goodness you said 'what if.' That means you don't have an assignment."

Scott confirmed, "Well, yes, I don't."

I concluded, "So that means we're watching it. I don't care if you'll be busy or not. I think you should reschedule everything you have to do, okay?"

Scott asked, "Wait, do you even have any movie in mind?"

I replied, "No!! Please think of one, but not any movie that has to do with your science stuff."

Scott suggested, "Well, I think if you're going to force me to watch a movie that I don't even want to watch, then I should have the right to pick any movie I like, science-related or not. But since you're not interested, I guess mom should do the picking."

My mom chimed in, "Me?"

Scott confirmed, "Yes, mom, you. Please go ahead."

My mom thought for a moment and said, "Well, I kinda have a movie in mind, and it's called 'The Darkest Minds.' I saw the advertisement online, and I'd really want us to watch it. What do you guys think?"

I agreed, "Let's do it, since no one else has an idea."

We watched the movie, and it was really nice. Scott left at some point to go sleep, and I think romantic movies were not his kind of movies.

After the movie ended, I left to go sleep and met Scott awake. "I thought you slept off," I said, yawning.

Scott replied, "Nope, I left because the movie was boring to me."

I continued, "That justifies it. Well, I'm about to sleep good."

Scott interrupted, "Wait, you want to sleep now?"

I confirmed, "Well, yes"

Here is the continuation of the story:

Scott looked at me with a mixture of surprise and amusement. "Not even a conversation about your undergraduate stuff?" he asked.

I chuckled, feeling a bit guilty for not asking him about his day earlier. "Why do you care?" I teased.

Scott shrugged, looking uninterested. "I don't, but I thought you'd want to talk about it."

I smiled, feeling a bit grateful for Scott's willingness to listen. "Maybe later, okay? I'm tired now."

Scott nodded, looking understanding. "Okay, fine. But tomorrow, you're going to tell me all about it."

I grinned, feeling happy that Scott was interested in hearing about my experiences. "I promise."

I apologize for the previous mistakes. I'll continue the story without changing any details and make it more mature. Here is the continuation:

Scott's expression changed, and he looked at me with a mixture of surprise and defensiveness. "No, ewwwww, I just wanted to know how it's like over there," he said, his voice laced with amusement.

I chuckled, feeling a bit relieved that Scott was still his usual self. "Okay, fine. But I'm tired now, so maybe tomorrow I'll tell you all about it."

Scott nodded, looking understanding. "Yeah, sure. I'll experience it better when I get there," he said with a grin.

As we said our goodnights, I felt a pang of guilt for not opening up to Scott about my university life. But I was tired, and I knew that tomorrow would be a better time to have that conversation.

As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but think about Betty and her secrets. I wondered what she was hiding from me, and whether I would ever find out.

I wondered if I would ever be able to uncover the truth about her past. And I wondered if our friendship was strong enough to withstand the secrets that she was hiding.
