Chapter 10

The guests' shocked voices filled the air around me.

Tears spilled from Blaine's eyes.

He crouched down, desperately trying to stop my bleeding, only to realize in the end.

It was all in vain.

"Myra, don't leave me."

"Please... don't leave me..."

As I felt my body growing lighter, I used my last bit of strength to dodge Blaine's hand.

"I told you something once before," I spoke slowly, my mouth full of blood.

"I would never look back."

As my right hand fell limp, the diamond ring in my palm dropped to the ground.

"Blaine, I never forgave you."

The last traces of pain in my body seemed to wash away.

I slowly closed my eyes, but Blaine's pleas still filled my ears.

"Myra, Myra..."

What's lost is lost; don't fool yourself into thinking you can get it back.

The day after Myra died.

Blaine was calmer than anyone else.

He trained as usual and even participated in more competitions.

Everyone thought he had moved on from the pain.
