Chapter 5: A visitor from the sect

It was dusk when we returned to Qingshi Village. The villagers saw Sean carrying the wild boar back and surrounded him in amazement. Tom came out with a cane and saw the change in Sean, and a trace of relief flashed in his eyes.

"Sean, you look much better." Tom smiled.

Sean put down the wild boar and scratched his head: "Tom, I have been training in the mountains for a few days, and I feel my body is stronger."

As he was talking, a sound of horse hooves suddenly came from the entrance of the village. This time it was not robbers, but three men in green robes, riding tall horses, with extraordinary momentum. The leader was a middle-aged man with a beard on his face and a long sword on his waist. His eyes swept over the villagers like a hawk.

"Is this Qingshi Village?" The middle-aged man turned over and got off the horse, asking coldly.

Jack stepped forward with courage: "Yes, sir, what can I do for you?"

"We are the outer sect deacons of Qingyun Sect, and we have been ordered to inspect this area." The middle-aged man said lightly, "We have recently noticed an abnormal spiritual fluctuation here, so we came to investigate."

Sean's heart tightened, and he vaguely guessed that this spiritual fluctuation might be related to his divine body. He lowered his head and said nothing, but he did not escape the middle-aged man's gaze.

"You, come here." The middle-aged man pointed at Sean, his tone unquestionable.

Sean stepped forward and tried to remain calm: "What do you want, sir?"

The middle-aged man narrowed his eyes, looked him up and down, and suddenly made a move, slapping Sean's chest with a palm. This palm seemed casual, but it brought a sharp gust of wind, obviously to test.

Sean reacted instinctively, the Devouring Divine Body in his body was running, and he blocked with both hands, and actually took the palm. The middle-aged man was slightly startled, then smiled: "Interesting. Boy, are you willing to join my Qingyun Sect?"

"Qingyun Sect?" Sean was stunned, and the immortal sect that Tom had mentioned emerged in his mind. It is said that it is one of the most powerful forces in the wilderness, and there are many powerful people in the sect. It is a place of cultivation that countless people dream of.

"Sir, I..." Sean hesitated and looked at Tom.

"Go, Sean." Tom sighed, "You are destined to be a fish in the pond. Staying in the village will only bury you."

Sean gritted his teeth and nodded: "Okay, I do."

The middle-aged man nodded with satisfaction: "Let's go tomorrow morning. My name is Mark, and I am the deacon of the outer sect of Qingyun Sect. Remember my name."

That night, Sean and Tom talked all night. He knew that this departure might be a farewell forever, but he also understood that only by becoming stronger can he protect everything he wants to protect.
