Night. A silhouette drifted under the pale glow of the city lights.
Eunwoo looked down at the young woman in his arms. Her pale face, her hair slightly tousled by the wind… Her eyelids fluttered but did not open.
When he finally lowered her to the ground, he hesitated.
For the first time, he had touched a human.
And for the first time… he had prevented a human's death.
This was the greatest taboo for an angel.
But this girl… Why did she unsettle him so much?
He turned slightly, his gaze lingering on the motionless girl lying on the ground. He couldn't just leave her like this.
Scanning his surroundings, he reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. Unlocking the screen, he checked her recent calls. A name appeared repeatedly—Minji.
After a brief hesitation, he opened the message app and typed:
"She's okay, but you should be with her."
After pressing send, he carefully placed the phone back in Yuna's hand.
Then, he swiftly stepped back, melting into the shadows, hiding behind the corner of a building.

A Savior in the Shadows
A few minutes later, the phone buzzed. A reply had arrived:
"Where are you? Who are you? What happened to Yuna?!"
Eunwoo ignored the message. Soon, hurried footsteps echoed down the street.
"Yuna!"
Minji, breathless and panicked, ran to her friend. Dropping to her knees, she cradled Yuna's face between her hands.
"What happened to you?!"
Yuna struggled to open her eyes but failed. Minji turned to the phone lying on the ground, reading the message displayed on the screen.
"Who sent this?" she whispered.
But Eunwoo was already gone.

A Warning from Heaven
Even after returning home, Eunwoo couldn't shake the unease within him.
Standing by the window, he gazed out at the glittering cityscape.
Then, suddenly, a voice from behind made him stiffen.
"Why did you do it?"
Eunwoo turned sharply.
Seonwoo stood in the corner of the room, his face unreadable, but his eyes gleamed like shards of ice.
"What do you think you're doing?" he repeated.
Eunwoo remained silent.
Seonwoo stepped closer. "You interfered with a human's fate. If Heaven finds out…"
Eunwoo's fists clenched involuntarily.
"I didn't want to leave her."
Seonwoo exhaled slowly. "Eunwoo… Don't forget. You are an angel. We only guide humans—we do not change them."
A heavy silence followed.
Then, Seonwoo stepped back, disappearing into the dim light.
Eunwoo buried his face in his hands.
Why had he done it?
And more importantly… If he could turn back time, could he really have let her fall?

The First Light of Morning
When she opened her eyes, her head throbbed.
Yuna stared at the ceiling, then suddenly sat up, gasping for air.
What… had happened?
Slowly, she stood and walked to the mirror. Her reflection looked exhausted, her face still pale.
But…
Her body froze when she noticed something on her shoulder.
A feather.
Reaching out, she carefully picked it up.
Pure white.
A vague image flickered in her mind.
Golden eyes… Large, glowing wings…
But… who was he?
She couldn't remember.
And maybe… she wasn't meant to.
