Unknown Location – Dark Room
Yuna's eyes slowly fluttered open.
Her head was throbbing.
She tried to move, but… her wrists were tied.
The dimly lit room was large, luxurious, yet eerily unsettling. Black walls, a grand chandelier, expensive furniture… but the atmosphere was cold and suffocating.
She had been kidnapped.
Panic surged through her as she struggled against the restraints, but the ropes were tightly secured. Her heart pounded wildly. What was happening?
And then…
The door creaked open, slowly, ominously.
And Hwan walked in.
As if in slow motion.
His black suit jacket was draped over his shoulders, his white shirt unbuttoned at the top, revealing a hint of his toned chest. The faint glimmer of a silver chain around his neck caught the dim light.
His steps were slow, deliberate.
His gaze—sharp as a blade.
A smirk played on his lips, both dangerous and irresistibly alluring.
Yuna held her breath.
This man… he was like a devil.
Hwan approached her with his hands casually tucked into his pockets, never once breaking eye contact.
Then, he crouched down before her.
His face was dangerously close to hers.
"Did you sleep well, sweetheart?"
A shiver ran down Yuna's spine.
"What do you want from me?" she asked, her voice trembling, but she refused to show her fear.
Hwan tilted his head slightly.
"Even when you ask that, you still look so innocent."
His gaze suddenly flickered to her lips.
Without warning, he raised his hand and brushed his thumb against them.
Yuna flinched, jerking back.
Hwan's smirk faltered slightly, his brows knitting together in mild irritation.
"The bracelet doesn't belong to Eunwoo," he murmured. "It belongs to me."
Yuna's heart almost stopped.
The bracelet… she had given it to Eunwoo.
"Don't play games with me, Yuna."
Hwan's voice turned ice-cold, laced with a dangerous edge.
Suddenly, his fingers grasped her chin firmly, forcing her to look at him.
"Until you bring me back that bracelet from Eunwoo," he whispered, his voice calm yet terrifying, "you belong to me."
Yuna clenched her jaw.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Let me go. I have nothing to do with Eunwoo."
Hwan chuckled, the sound low and mocking.
"Maybe you don't." His eyes darkened. "But that cunning angel likes you. And I'm not going to let him have you."
And then… something unexpected happened.
Hwan's fingers trailed down to her neck.
But he didn't choke her.
Instead… he touched her.
His fingertips barely grazed her skin, almost… affectionate.
But this wasn't affection.
It was a warning.
Yuna knew that.
Hwan's dark eyes locked onto hers like a predator's gaze.
Then, he smirked.
"Until you're mine."
He stood up slowly.
"Be a good girl, Yuna."
Then, turning on his heel, he walked toward the door with heavy, deliberate steps.
Just before leaving, he paused, glancing back at her from over his shoulder.
"You'll be my guest here… for a long time."
And then, he was gone.
Yuna trembled.
This man… he was lethally dangerous.
But the worst part was…
She could hear her own heartbeat racing.
And that terrified her even more.
