Madeline was the daughter of Benneton Harlow, a leading businessman in the pharmaceutical industry until someone sued him leading his company into bankruptcy.

Benneton sighed and calmly stated as a matter of fact, ''It's yours and Liam's.''

As if not being able to accept what she had just heard, Madeline rushed to her dad, bringing the papers closer to him, ''Why did I even sign this!? And why him!?''

Madeline's POV.

After a shower, I switched on the TV to find out what was happening with the world. It's been two weeks, and the only people I had been in contact with were Liam and Joyce.

Switching to a news channel, my eyes immediately fell on the line, "Harlow's Pharmaceuticals makes a huge comeback again."

I sighed in relief, Papa barely let me know about the company's affairs because I had shown a disinterest in inheriting it ever since I was young but I was happy to know that the company was getting back on track just within a month and a half.

As the reporter went on my mind drifted back to Liam inviting me to attend Coachella, it was such a surprise.

That was the last thing I expected to come out of his mouth.

But my whole life had been a series of unexpected events.
