Chapter 5

—————No Point Of View———————

The waves of pink liquid like substance scattered around the room as Vladimir and Xeiemia walked into the portal. Their bodies seemingly disintegrating as they made contact with the portal.

Vladimirs eyes widened as he felt a clumpy but thin liquid pressing against his hands then his arms, then his torso. Soon his whole body had entered the portal, every nerve of his body tensed as he felt the area seemed to grow.

As his eyes looked around he found himself in an endlessly big place of rainbow colours, one that would drive you insane if seen for too long. The trip only lasted a full second, but to him it was like an hour.

As they exited the portal they found themselves in a dark alleyway, water dripping from above into a dirty puddle. The two stood in darkness as the sound of heavy rain poured onto the streets.

Vladimir looked around in confusion as he asked himself "Is this…The underground?" His eyes slightly squinted as he glanced in every direction.

Xeiemia responded calmly "No, this is another world, or really universe, though it seems to be one run by the Verindiax Cult" She pinched her chin as she looked around.

Vladimir looked at her in confusion as he asked "The Verindiax Cult?" He felt his neck tense as he heard the name.

Xeiemia closed her eyes calmly as she responded bluntly "The Verindiax Cult is a group that worships a being of destruction" Her eyes glanced to the side at Vladimir.

Vladimir felt his blood flow across his chest as he asked "Why would someone follow something like that?" His eyes were wide and confused.

Xeiemia shrugged as she responded "People want something to follow, the idea of something greater protecting them…" She glanced to a pathway through the alleyways.

Vladimir asked concernedly "A-Are they working with the Atlases?" His fingers tensed tightly as he stared downwards in fear.

Xeiemia shook her head calmly as she stated "Atlases aren't the only superpower in the multiverse, you and I outrank them greatly…However" Her eyes slowly opened as she turned to him.

She swiftly approached him before slamming a hand on the wall to his side, staring into his crimson gaze with her pink one sharply. Her eyes were wide as she watched his terrified eyes look at her, despite only a centimetre difference in height she had an aura that was pure intimidation.

Xeiemia stated firmly "Just because you have our symbol doesn't mean you are one of us, you need to prove yourself, prove your usefulness" Her gaze was never broken as she stared down at him.

Her hand left the wall as she took a few steps back, Vladimirs body still tensed as he looked at her. She turned to the side, her eyes barely glancing at him as she looked down the alleyway.

She stated calmly "Come on, all we need to do is find the leader, it's a simple mission for your first" She took a step back before she began to walk swiftly down the alley.

Vladimir worriedly saw this and swiftly follow closed behind, his mind dwelling on who their target could be. He wondered what they were like, what their intentions were…Were they really trying to do bad?

As the two reached the end of the alleyway they came into a central plaza, their eyes widened as they saw it was ravaged, like a storm had come through.

Xeiemia pinched her chin as she looked around, her boots staying planted on the concrete near the exit of the alley. Her eyes squinted as she pondered what happened to the place.

Vladimir took a few steps out as he looked at the area, his eyes widened as he looked down the street, his hands shaking. There was a pile of bloody bodies, some young, some old, all with the very same horrified expression.

Vladimirs hand covered his mouth as he stifled a scream, the blood was dried, meaning this happened a while ago, however it was like a lake below them, with the corpses as an island. His fingers quivered in horror as his breaths became swift and heavy.

Xeiemia took notice of his fearful expression, however she stayed put, her eyes glancing in the opposite direction of the bodies. Her eyes squinted as she noticed the air seemingly become wobbly, it began vibrating while Vladimir was unaware.

Her eyes suddenly widened as she realised it, her boots squeaking as she leapt off the ground into Vladimir and tackling him across the street. He groaned as he leaned up while Xeiemia stood up with a look of concern.

Another moment later the street behind them was struck with a blinding white light, followed by a thin slash of pink energy. The two looked back to see the plaza decimated, fire coating the buildings while being unaffected by the torrential downpour.

Vladimir covered his mouth in fear as his eyes quivered, he wobbled onto his feet as he looked at the destruction. Xeiemia scoffed to herself in annoyance as she bit the inside of her lip, her eyes squinted as she watched the flames begin to fade away from full size.

As the final flame disappeared the street was once again in silence, Xeiemia took several steps out with caution in every step. Vladimir looked at her in fear and shock, he tentatively walked to her, though every nerve of his body was telling him to run.

She kneeled down at the chasm created by the light, her head tilting as she looked down. Vladimir nervously approached her side, his breaths heavy from fear.

Xeiemia stopped in place as Vladimir watched her in confusion, her eyes weren't even moving to look at the chasm. She was staring blankly into space with no movement at all, it was like she wasn't even there.

Xeiemia calmly said "We're being watched" He groggy eyes slowly opened as she stood up.

Vladimir looked at her in confusion as he asked "W-What do you me-" His questioning was interrupted by a firm knock noise behind him.

He swiftly turned around while his body twisted in concern, but then his eyes widened as he saw a figure in the street. There stood what looked like a young boy standing with a large cloak covering his whole body, his hair was long, it stretched over his face, and his head pointed down.

He stayed standing for a few moments before a quiet croaky voice came from him "Parade on Paradise…As I'll be able…" He stopped mid sentence, suddenly his head cocked upwards as a black eye stared at the two as he finished "To get a bite!" His dirty teeth grinned as he looked at them.

Another voice that was deep and noble sounding echoed from an alley the other way to the boy "Settle down Morraic, the boss wants his share of the feast too" The voice was tired but yet had a sense of superiority to it.

The voice left the alley as it showed itself as a man with blue hair in a tall suit of armour, a short flowing red cape behind him. He had a long spear that was perched on his back.

Vladimir stuttered to himself "The feast?" His breaths became even more laboured as he glanced back and forth from the two.

Xeiemia turned to look at the man with a serious expression as she demanded "Identify yourself, I'll do the same afterwards" Her sharp eyes stared down into his own.

The man calmly stated as he returned the gaze "Names Otto I'm a royal guard of the Broriv Family" Xeiemia was about to responded when he interjected again "Please do not tell me your name though,it make it more difficult to give you as a meal to the royal family" His head lowered softly.

Xeiemia looked at him in surprise as she asked "What happened to the people?" Her eyes slightly squinted.

An instant after she uttered that Morraic had appeared to her side with a small dagger as he stated "Nothing for you to know!" He chuckled gleefully as he progressed to her.

Vladimir took sight of him about to strike Xeiemia and he felt his body take control as he withdrew his sword. His sword jabbed forward as the boy stabbed his dagger towards Xeiemia.

The blades were caught as Vladimir blocked the stab, while disoriented he managed to pull the broadsword back and put into his holster. Xeiemia however didn't seem phased by the turn of events, her eyes uncaring like it never happened.

Otto looked at Vladimir in anger as he yelled out "Do not lay a finger on his majesty!" His armoured shoes ground themselves as he prepared to leap.

Vladimir noticed this and reached to his back to grab his knife, his hand trembling as it prepared to grab it out of the sheathe. Though to his surprise Otto appeared right behind him with his spear pointed towards his back.

Vladimir barely could turn his head enough to see the weapon slowly approaching his back, dark red blood dripping off the tip. His eyes shook as he felt it touch the fabric of his outfit.

He clenched his fists as he watched it get closer and closer, however it would never reach him as the spear swiped upwards much to both their surprise. Otto took a few steps back as he gripped his weapon tightly, giving it a look of confusion before returning his gaze to Vladimir.

He pulled the spear back as to prepare a jab, while Vladimir withdrew his knife and held it in front of him, he had no clue what happened but he accepted it. He ground himself for a moment before leaping towards Otto.

The aggressive attack surprised Otto who could only block the knife with the side of the spear. Vladimir felt a sense of strength but also confusion at what he was doing, he was actively attacking someone, he pushed the blade more at the spear, Ottos shoes dug up dirt as he was dragged back.

Vladimir suddenly stopped as he remembered something, the day he drowned someone because he couldn't pay him for losing the poker game. His grip on his knife loosened as he felt his strength lower, his eyes wide in horror.

Otto gritted his teeth as he looked at him in slight surprise, but he pushed him back before hitting him with the side of the spear. It sent Vladimir tumbling across the street, the dagger landing next to him as it slid along the soaked streets.

Otto stated firmly "You lost focus, are you just a stand in for a fighter? The other woman seems to be capable, but you seem fresh and inexperienced" He let the spear go behind his back calmly.

Otto took several steps towards Vladimir on the ground, Xeiemias eyes slightly squinted as her eyebrows furrowed as she saw him. Vladimir reached out to his knife as he felt a sharp pain on his chest, a liquid feeling on his upper torso, the liquid was not water, it was far thicker.

Otto stood above Vladimir with his shadow cast over him, his spear raised with the tip pointing downwards. Vladimir frantically glanced at Xeiemia who was walking towards the royalty, his eyes wide in horror.

In one swift stab the spear was implanted, though Vladimir felt nothing, just a gust of wind to his side, as he looked he saw the spear in the ground. He looked up to see Otto with a hand outstretched to him, he cautiously took it before getting hoisted up.

Otto gripped his hand tightly before releasing it, placing a hand on his hip as he stated "You'll need proper training, I think someone focusing on Orders like her isn't the best option either" He spoke with a stern tone.

Vladimir looked at him in confusion as he asked "She doesn't really order me around, she hasn't spoken much to me yet actually" He scratched the back of his head.

Otto looked at him in confusion before responding bluntly "Orders are our abilities…You know nothing do you?" His eyes slightly squinted.

Vladimir shook his head softly, though suddenly his eyes widened as he asked confusedly "Wait, why are you giving me advice?" His head slightly tilted.

Otto responded quickly "I don't care about this country, I would be fine with it being burnt to ashes even hell couldn't recognise, however, his majesty I owe my life to, your ally is powerful, I can tell that just by looking at her, I wish for mercy on the king" He stared down at Vladimir thoughtfully.

Vladimirs eyes widened as he asked "Why, what is so bad about this country? Is it the living conditions?" He glanced around at the streets.

Otto shook his head as he responded "The class hierarchy is abysmal, people hate the poor, and the rich is loved, that's the way we lived" His voice had a hint of sadness to him.

Vladimir looked at him in surprise but also remorse, he responded "I also grew up in a bad place, one where I was treated like shit" He looked down in sadness.

Ottos eyes widened as he looked at him, though he soon relaxed as he asked "How long have you been a fighter for?" He had a calm voice as he asked.

Vladimir responded nervously "Well, I only joined the Champions today…" He scratched the back of his head nervously.

Otto stayed calm for a moment before his eyes widened as he shockingly asked "A-Are you…A Champion Of Ennzoll?" His fingers were quivering as he asked.

Vladimir looked at him in surprise that he knew of them, but before he could respond Xeiemia called out "We're both Champions, we are here to dispatch of a man named Borai, do you know of him?" She tilted her head to him.

Otto looked at her in horror as he stated "You cannot kill Borai, he is too powerful" His eyes quivered in fear.

Xeiemia waved her hand as she responded bluntly "Ehh, we'll be fine" She reached down and pulled up the king as she stated with a smirk "I have dealt with far greater and more dangerous than him, I guarantee" A toothy grin entered her face.

Otto glanced at Vladimir before responding "I suppose with the two of you it wouldn't be the hardest, I will not help though, I will be taking his majesty and leaving" His head pointed down as he finished.

Xeiemia shrugged as she tossed Morraic to Otto who swiftly caught him, the speed of his run caused a wind of air to hit the other two in the face. He placed the King onto his feet before the two began to walk off, Otto staying close by to the King as to keep him protected.

He stopped for a moment as he stated "Just so you know, there is someone from the Cult that oversees the country, be careful about spiting him" His eyes stared to the two behind him before turning away.

The two walked away slowly while Vladimir watched in confusion, his mind still processing everything that happened. Xeiemia looked in slight annoyance as her hand pressed against her hip.

She stated firmly "Alright, now that's over, let's go" She turned over the other way.

Vladimir still felt a sense of confusion, but he still followed Xeiemia as she walked through the destroyed plaza. His hands quivered as he looked around at the dead bodies all around, his breath catching in his throat.

Vladimir asked Xeiemia nervously "Could you please explain what an Order is?" He slightly scratched the back of his head.

Xeiemia spared him a glance as she stated "An Order is an ability that comes from the essence of your soul, it could be regeneration, teleportation, creating fire, godlike speed, it all depends on you" Her head lifted upwards as she looked to the grey dead clouds.

She suddenly came to a stop while her head lowered, Vladimir stopped as he looked at her in surprise. His head slightly tilted as he looked at her, her eyes staring forward deeply.

He asked "Are you alright?" He tilted his head as he asked.

Xeiemia stared calmly but firmly "We're under the gaze of bloodthirsty hellspawn" Her voice was without a hint of doubt.

Vladimir looked at her in confusion and slight fear, but then he heard a clicking sound to his side, his eyes widened as he nervously withdrew his knife. He gripped it tightly as he stared into the distance.

Suddenly out of the building came several creatures, they were red and looked like they were inside out but had dark eyes with yellow pupils. They looked like dogs and centipedes but were over eight metres long.

Then in front of them came out three men in outfits that concealed their appearance, with masks that covered their eyes. They each had holsters holding knives and pistols, one had dual sickles on their back.

One stepped forward and yelled out in a high pitched voice "Step forward…If you wish to forfeit your arms, lay down, if you wish to be free from your eyes" He withdrew a knife and ran his finger on the blade as he smirked.

Vladimir looked at him in fear as the man smirked behind the mask, he could feel his eyes on him. Xeiemia was indifferent as she watched the trio stand before them, her eyes looking to the side.

Xeiemia responded "Are you in the Cult?" Her eyes looked the leader dead in the eyes.

He chuckled maniacally before responding "Indeed, Arch Cardinal Raisax opposes thou, now who may you be?" His arm outstretched as he pointed at the two in a dramatic manor.

Vladimir stayed silent while tensed, while Xeiemia just looked at him in annoyance, she responded "Piles of Blood don't need others names" Her eyes had a look that could kill, while the words were spoke with a seriousness that could only be defined as stated.

Raisax chuckled to himself before he grasped his face as he cackled before stating with an arm outstretched "What a feisty one! You would make an excellent morsel, perhaps I should try you myself" He clenched his chests shirt tightly as he finished.

Raisax wore an extravagant white mask over his eyes and nose while his mouth was covered by another mask equally as grand. His outfit was lined with golden emblems and looked like it was from the eighteenth century.

Vladimir looked at him in pure fear, his body tensed, his body leaning back, his fingers unable to stop moving. His eyes quivered as he continued staring at the man, his breaths becoming light and in unnatural streams.

He panickedly thought to himself why am I here? Why did I decide to do this? I'm not a fighter! Otto said it himself, I'm inexperienced, I can't fight someone like that!

His boot scraped on the concrete as he twisted it around before attempting to run away. He felt himself stop moving, a clamp sound echoed as Xeiemia grabbed the back of his shirt firmly.

Xeiemia asked firmly "What the hell are you doing?" Her eyes slowly turned to look at him.

Vladimir looked at her in horror as he exclaimed in fear "I never wanted to be a Champion, I just wanted to escape death, I run from every danger, I hid from the people in power because I was scared!" His eyes firmly clenched.

He pushed his face down in horror, his dry eyes begging to release water, though his tensed skull prevented any blood or liquid to move. His fists clenched as he slowly reopened his eyes, his gaze locked on the ground.

He muttered softly to himself "I just...I want to live..." His voice cracking as he whispered.

Xeiemia looked at him in surprise before she scoffed as she annoyedly stated "So? You're just going to flee at first sight?" Her teeth slightly gritted as she pulled him closer.

She continued firmly "Will you leave those who helped you behind?" Her grip tightened as she pulled him closer before stating "Letting others perish because of your cowardice?!?" The anger she felt came from the depths of her heart.

Vladimir looked her in the eyes in fear, her gaze was like daggers piercing his soul. He continued to hold back the tears

Raisax yelled out firmly "Now, they're distracted, let us begin the feast!" He held his hands up high as the other two withdrew their pistols.

Raisax lowered a finger to point at them as he whispered with the same dramatic tone but it was swift "Lose" He grinned as he finished.

Bullets streamed out of the pistols at Mach speeds, it was unlike normal weapons, the blasts shot faster than normal guns and seemed to regenerate the ammo. It streamed out of the barrel without any break within just a second.

Tens of dozens of bullets flew towards the two, Vladimirs eyes wide as he felt time slow down mentally for him, however Xeiemia stayed uncaring as she looked him in the face. Much to his fear and concern as his eyes glanced from her to the bullets.

Suddenly all the bullets stopped in air, much to the confusion of everyone else, the trio gasped in shock, Vladimir looked in fear. Xeiemia looked to the side with a look of killer, her posture relaxed.

She stated firmly "Be silent, I am speaking" Her gaze horrified the three people who stood before them.

Xeiemia returned her gaze to Vladimir, her eyes groggy as she sighed deeply, her straight posture stared down at him, her body having a feeling of condescension. Xeiemia leaned down to him before planting a hand on his shoulder, her expression becoming more calm.

Xeiemia calmly and quietly asked "What's your goal?" Her eyes relaxed as she looked at him thoughtfully.

Vladimir looked at her in confusion, he whispered "G-Goal?" His fingers twitching in fear.

Xeiemia nodded as she stated firmly "Yea, like objective, do you have one?" Her head slightly tilted as she asked.

Vladimir glanced down at the ground for a moment, though soon he returned his gaze as he responded "N-No...My only goal has ever been to survive..." His eyes half closed as he felt a sense of self hatred at his lack of ideals.

Xeiemia asked him swiftly "Have you ever wanted to do something? Start a family? Create a better world?" Her head tilted to the other way as she stared into his crimson eyes.

Vladimir looked at her in sorrow, his mind trailing to find some purpose, something to keep him going. His fingers twitched as he thought about himself, he was happy to wear the mask because he felt it would hide himself, his face is too innocent to be intimidating.

Raisax quivered as he watched the two speak, they were uncaring of the people before them, only focused on themselves. He gritted his teeth behind the mask as he glanced at his allies by either side.

He addressed them firmly "Come now, if range doesn't work, we shall fight with close range against thou enemies" His fists clenched as he reached to his back firmly.

The two by his sides rushed forward withdrawing two knives each, their hilts adorned with black diamond shaped objects. Yet despite this, Xeiemia didn't even flinch, her eyes dull as she looked at Vladimir, but yet still had a sense of curiousness.

One attempted to jump at her, the ground shook as they leapt into the air, their arm outstretched as they jabbed the blades at her. However in an instant, like a flash of light, their knives landed on the ground by Xeiemias sides, no trace of the wielder ever existing.

Raisax quivered as his lips curled in concern, the other person gritted their teeth as they continued their assault. However as they approached Xeiemia suddenly turned her head to face them with a bored and irritated expression.

The person looked in fear while Raisaxes eyes widened, he yelled out as his arm swung out "Withdraw ye jester of yonder!" His eyes shook behind his mask.

It was too late at this point as Xeiemia had already appeared right next to the person, her eyes staring forward to the ground, her eyes wide like she was in shock. Her mouth opened slightly as she took a slight breath, the person standing still, their body unable to move somehow.

Xeiemia stated firmly "Watch closely, you're used to the power of weapons, items of death, see our power, of not a single form" Her hand raised above the persons beside hers head her hand wide.

She placed her hand on their head before lifting it off and pointing it at Raisax who watched in fear, she slightly closed her eyes over before taking a deep breath. Light emerged from her fingertips as she reopened her mouth.

Silence erupted as she stated firmly without any hesitation "Cast Order...Supernova Reign" The eyes of the cultists were in horror, Vladimir having the same.

Nothing happened for a few seconds, however in an instant blinding light like that of the core of the sun extruded from Xeiemias finger. The two cultists in horror as in half a millisecond they were engulfed by the light.

Raisax whispered to himself "Assist Escape..." His eyes blinded by the light as he looked in fear.

A second later the light dispersed, Xeiemia standing with her cheekbones suppressing a smirk, albeit poorly. She turned around with a calm posture, looked towards Vladimir who had buried his head in the ground.

She sighed deeply with a slight chuckle, calmly addressing "Open your eyes, lift your head up, view it to not fear it" Her voice was soft, far kinder than before.

Vladimir slowly looked up, his body tensed as he fearfully looked up, his eyes widened as he witnessed it, his breath light. Xeiemia smirked as she turned around to see her handiwork, crossing her arms calmly.

There was a crater where the street and multiple houses stood, sparks of light flashed in small spots in the area, though nowhere near the density of the order. Vladimir gulped as he stood up, his fingers quivering as he took a few steps towards Xeiemias side.

She asked him calmly "Champions do this stuff all the time, that's what set us apart from everyone else, you'll learn to do the same here" Her eyes shut for a moment before it reopened as she looked at the crater.

Vladimir looked down for a moment as he tensed his throat, he asked nervously "What if I can't? You said it, I'm used to traditional weaponry, not...This..." His fists curled as he felt a sting in his torso.

Xeiemia tilted her head to the side as she looked off in the distance thoughtfully "Yea I get it, and frankly there is a good chance you can't, but it was Elena who brought you in right? If that's the case, I trust her judgement" Her mouth stayed open for a few seconds before closing.

Vladimir looked at her in slight confusion as he asked "What about Ennzoll?...Actually...Nevermind..." He wrapped his own arms around himself as he continued "None of you seem to respect him..." He felt a sense of worry.

Xeiemia looked at him thoughtfully, her eyebrows high as she responded in a deep tone "It's not like that, honestly I respect and care more about him than I do myself, but we also can see that he is truly a fool" Her hand leaning on her hip as she spoke.

Vladimir looked at her in surprise as he looked down before muttering "Elena and Merkolax said the same..." He held his chin with his fingers as he pondered what was so foolish about him.

Xeiemia didn't let him think as she let a small spark singe the tip of his nose as she stated "Nothing to worry about now, we have dealt with our objective, let's get ready to leave" She cracked her neck on both sides as she stated.

Vladimir gripped the tip of his nose as he groaned in pain, though he soon asked in confusion "Wait what? I thought it was someone else we were dealing with" His eyes slightly wide.

Xeiemia sighed as she placed an arm around his shoulder as she stated "Borai, that is not a real person, I could tell instantly, that man lied to Otto" Her eyes were jagged like daggers.

Vladimir looked at her in shock as he asked confusedly "So...Raisax is Borai...Otto said we couldn't beat him...He's too strong...Do you think he was just caught off guard?" His eyes squinted as he pondered it.

Xeiemia stayed silent for a moment before responding "I thought about that, you aren't wrong, Raisax was still a threat either way, an Arch Cardinal may not be that strong in the Cult, but he's still a cultist, or he would be if I didn't kill him" Her head lowered as she spoke.

Vladimir looked down as he thought, what is the purpose of these people? Why does the cult even exist, why do they think hurting people is what they should do? He doesn't understand it, though at the same time...He does? In their eyes they're in the right, so to them, they're good, to others, they're bad, it's the natural way the world works.

Xeiemia looked at him as she lifted her arm off his shoulder, she asked him curiously "Mind sharing your thoughts?" She curiously tilted her head as she asked.

Vladimir looked at her in surprise before he asked her confusedly "What could they want? Immortality?" His head tilted down as he asked.

Xeiemia responded bluntly "If so, I get it, Eternal Life would be great" Her head looked upwards as she finished.

Vladimir looked at her in shock as he asked "How? You would see all of your friends die, you'd be alone..." His fists clenched as he looked straight down with quivering pupils.

Xeiemia turned to him as she stated "Champions are already near immortal, we're long living, you and I will have lifespans that will surpass universes" She tilted her head as she spoke.

Vladimirs eyes widened as he processed the information, Xeiemia looked at him before glancing away with an unnerved and confused expression. Vladimir was horrified, the thought of living that long...Scared him? He was afraid of being able to be near immortal?

Xeiemia returned her gaze to him as she spoke "The moment you received that mark your life increased, among other things, your orders will likely be easier to wield, though the power and acquiring them will be the same" She slowly turned away as she inspected the area.

Vladimir looked down as his eyes closed for a second, it reopened as he looked away, taking view of the hole made by Xeiemia his eyes squinted as he stared into the crater. He wondered if he could do something like this, or that was part of the reason he was staring, the other was a lingering sense of incompletion.

He crouched down as he looked across the destroyed area while he tried to figure out what he was missing, though suddenly his eyes caught the gaze of a small spark, though it was unlike the one from Xeiemia. The spark was red, it was rising while Xeiemias was lowering, it seemed to also shift colours from lighter to darker back to lighter.

Vladimir stood up swiftly as he turned to Xeiemia, exclaiming loudly "Something's happened in the cr-at...er..." His voice trailed off as he saw Xeiemia.

She was in the middle of eating a rock which made Vladimir internally gag while she looked at him without care, calmly approaching his side as she peered into the chasm. Her eyes had a flash of being impressed as she saw the sparks too.

She leaned up straight as she gazed upwards, pinching her chin as she spoke "Red sparks...What does that mean again?..." She trailed off as she muttered to herself, until suddenly she snapped her fingers as she spoke clearly "Teleportation order, a quick and cunning escape route..."

Vladimir furrowed his eyebrows as he stated "So, he's still alive" He crossed his arms as he looked down, he turned to Xeiemia as he asked "Is there like a limit to the distance someone can be teleported?"

Xeiemia shook her head as she responded "Sadly no, teleportation cannot be limited or traced, however, what can be assumed is he is remaining here as to acquire his assets before fleeing" She lowered her hands to her sides as she finished.

Xeiemia turned to an alleyway opposite of the way they came, tilting her head side to side as she began to walk down, Vladimir following close behind. Little did they know, the piles of bodies down the street, were now gone, like they were never there.

As the two began their search, in a nearby building the sound of concerned chatter could be heard, followed by loud footsteps and slight grumbling. The footsteps stopped as a voice continuously spoke to the person, their posture becoming more and more irritated as time went on.

The voice pleaded, asking "We will evacuate all personnel and resources, you should leav-" The voice was firmly interrupted by the addressed individual appearing to their side in an instant.

They placed a hand on their shoulder as they stated "Thee shall flee, though I will not allow thyself to lose my domain without resistance" His voice firm while pushing himself to speak in the fancy dialect.

The person pleading stayed silent for a few moments, she had a look of surprise on her face for a second, though soon her fists clenched as she stared Raisax in the eyes. Raisax looked at her in surprise, but soon understood the gesture.

She stated to Raisax "I will remain here, with you, I'll help you, I swear by my heart, well my mechanical one" Her body tensed as she spoke, withdrawing a knife and pistol from her belt as she finished.

Raisax looked at her with a slight genuine smile behind his mask, he nodded firmly as he walked past while stating "Then let thee prepare for the coming conflict, we shall make sure we're ready...We'll make the sky fall" His mouth tipped on either side as he walked past her.

She smiled as she followed close behind, the two approached their equipment ready and lined up, as they grabbed some items they were met with several others, ones who had been loyal since the start.

The approached Raisax as one said in his deep Norwegian accent "Let us stand with you in the final hours of the country" He clenched his fists as he determinedly stared Raisax in the face.

Raisax nodded as he responded "Thee makes thyself honoured to call thou my allies" He had a sly smirk as he let his hand out in a dramatic way.

Raisax turned to the woman as he stated "Faina, we will make sure thou enemies are smote before they step foot on our home" He crossed his arms as he looked down at her with a slight excited expression.

Faina nodded firmly as she responded "Yea, the centipedes have already devoured the corpses, they'll be a useful asset for the fight" She returned the slightly excited expression.

Raisax nodded deeply as he stated "Indeed, the centipedes would be good, but thou have an idea on what we could do to...Better our odds...Eternally..." He slightly smirked as he looked upwards.

As the group prepared Xeiemia and Vladimir had been traversing the city slowly, Vladimir felt a sense of unnerve at the emptiness of the streets. Xeiemia however was more focused on finding anything left behind, something to guide them.

However as the two walked a loud click sound echoed into Vladimirs eyes, his body stopping swiftly much to the surprise of Xeiemia. She turned to him with a look of slight confusion, his eyes squinted while looking to the right.

She asked confusedly "Did you notice something?" Her expression was serious as she walked to his side.

Vladimir glanced at her as he responded "There's something this way" He looked down another alleyway leading into a wall.

Xeiemia looked down it suspiciously giving Vladimir a glance as she nudged him to go forward. He looked at her in surprise but listened as he walked down to the wall, the sound of clicking ever louder.

Xeiemia squinted as she tried to hear anything, but she couldn't hear a single thing. Vladimir pressed his ear against the bricks as he squinted his eyes, focusing on the source, the clicking was becoming louder and louder, though it was also gaining some sort of rhythm.

He looked down as he tried to discern where he heard the rhythm from before, his eyes widened as he realised it was getting higher pitched, about to reach its peak. He swiftly ran from the wall, his arm wrapped around Xeiemia as he tried to pull her down with him.

Xeiemia looked at him in confusion as she continued standing, much to the worry of Vladimir. The ticking reached higher and higher, only a matter of seconds left, he pushed against Xeiemia while his legs shook, he wanted to run past her.

Vladimir yelled to her "Get down you fool! it's a grenade!" In that instant the grenade detonated, exploding the wall and several buildings nearby.

Flames engulfed their vision as temperatures beyond boiling swirled in the streets. Walls cracked as the bomb spread itself across the area, the blast reaches far into the streets, into the hole as the explosion peaked.

In only a few moments it died down as the temperature slowly lowered to livable heats, though only barely. The flames danced across the buildings and the rubble, leaving behind bits of heat and burnt buildings.

The dust walked across the rubble as the two stood in place, a bubble like object surrounding them. Xeiemia had tilted her head to the side as she seemed to be in thought, Vladimir looked in absolute shock as he didn't feel even a bit of the effects of the bomb.

Xeiemia turned to him slowly as she stated calmly "I appreciate the attempt, but something that trivial would not even put a scratch on me, it was just you you should've worried about" Her eyes looked blankly into his as he felt a tinge of irritation.

Vladimir nodded firmly to her as he stared forward, the gaping hole a clear indication that someone, or something was back there, something that needed to be found. Vladimir stood up as he took a few steps towards the hole in the wall, his eyes squinted as he placed a hand on the wall.

His head tilted as he looked through the hole, nothing of interest viewable, however soon after his eyes widened as he was met with a blob standing in front of him. It was in the shape of a person, the creature having razor sharp claws and heavy armor, though it was still made of the same material as the blobs slime.

The blob was green and slimy in appearance, as it moved the sound of squishing echoed in Vladimirs ears much to his dismay. He withdrew his sword nervously as he stared down the creature, his breaths laboured as he stared it down.

He gripped his sword tighter as he leapt at the blob, giving a firm swing at it, the blob glanced at him before its claws rose up to barely block the slash. The blob was pushed across the ground by the force of the strike, though it seemed unphased as it rose its other arm, pointing it right at Vladimir as it prepared a jab.

Vladimirs eyes widened as he reached behind his back to the dagger, he stopped in place as he saw it slowly begin to approach him, his eyes squinted as he waited for a few seconds. Then right before it struck him he withdrew the dagger and slammed the claws upwards.

He looked very pleased with himself as he saw the blob stagger, Vladimir swung the dagger right at its neck with perfect accuracy. His teeth gritted as it made contact, however the slimy outside of the creature was barely cut into as he struck it.

The blob swiftly slammed into him before grabbing his head and throwing him to the side, his chest burning from the impact. The blob swiftly approached him with its hands outstretched, much to the concern of Vladimir who stood in fear.

However a moment later the blob collapsed forward, its body splattering as it slammed down though Vladimir could see the back was completely missing from it. His eyes quivered in fear as he looked up to see Xeiemia looking down at him in annoyance.

Her eyes closed slightly as she muttered to herself "I wouldn't even keep someone like you in a morgue" She pinched the bridge of her nose as she finished.

Before Vladimir could say anything a man leapt up behind Xeiemia with two sickles, her eyes suddenly widened for a moment as her expression became serious. She leapt out of the way of the two swings he delivered.

Xeiemia stood straight as she watched him calmly, she glanced at Vladimir as she seemed to be in deep thought. She pinched her chin as she turned her head to Vladimir, his eyes squinted in confusion as he stood up, his hands holding both the dagger and sword in separate hands.

He turned his attention the man before them as Xeiemia whispered to him "I'll blind him, throw your dagger at his torso and take him out with the sword" She took a stance and prepared a blast.

Vladimir looked at her in confusion however he had no time to ask as she raised her hand and out came waves of smoke which surrounded the man and covered his view and senses. He waved the smoke around him aimlessly, his eyes wide in concern.

Vladimir gripped his weapons tightly as he leapt forward, he tossed the dagger towards the mans torso as Xeiemia told, however at that moment the man saw it and blocked it with a sickle. However for him Vladimir was already to his side with his sword ready, the man could barely turn his head as Vladimir swung right at his neck.

The sword dug into his flesh before swinging upwards, slashing across his head in a stream of crimson blood. Vladimir stood above the man as he collapsed onto the floor, grasping his neck in pain, Vladimirs eyes shook in horror as he looked down, his hands shaking as he shared eye contact with the man below him.

Xeiemia stood above the man as she asked "Why did you curve? You had a clear shot at his neck?" Her eyes squinted as she stared in his crimson eyes.

Vladimir raised his hand to his face as he looked at it in horror, giving a quivering response "I-I don't know…Why? I've killed before…Why now?" His eyes shook in absolute shock.

Xeiemia looked down at the man as he attempted to crawl away, she pointed a finger at his neck much to the confusion of Vladimir. However a moment later a flash of light erupted from her finger, and in an instant his head was a blood splatter.

Vladimirs eyes widened in horror as he glanced back and forth between the dead man and Xeiemia, she just looked at him like he was mud under her boot as she walked past. He turned to her in slight anger at her general disregard for human life, though he soon picked up the knife and followed close behind.

Xeiemia stated calmly to him "If you're going to work with us you need to remember not everyone can be a good person" She stared upwards calmly.

Vladimir looked down as he asked "Do you even understand that notion? Good and Evil don't exist" He clenched his grasp around his weapons.

Xeiemia stated uncaringly "Good and Evil are what I think are wrong, that's how it is, it's how you see it, if you think it's wrong then it's evil in your eyes" She tilted her head to the side as she spoke.

Vladimir looked at her in surprise but soon nodded calmly, his grasp slowly relaxing on his items as they fell around his sides. He tilted his head side to side as he glanced around the area, his eyes having a serious expression as he wanted to just get this done with.

Xeiemia stopped in place as she looked upwards, her eyes squinting as she stared upwards, her hands clenched firmly as she raised her fist into the air right above her. Vladimir looked in confusion at the motion, though he didn't have much time to think.

He was met with a blade from behind which he barely blocked with his dagger, he let out a low hiss as he grasped the weapon firmly, there stood another man this time with a spear. Xeiemia turned to see him, her hand still pointing upwards.

Though she suddenly widened her palm to which a black diamond appeared between Vladimir and the man, he looked in confusion as the man tapped it with his spear, however in an instant the darkness surrounded the spear and soon the man. The man looked in horror at Xeiemia who seemed to not care in the slightest.

Vladimir looked in shock at what happened before returning his gaze to her, Xeiemia shrugged to him to which he gritted his teeth, that death was clearly painful but she didn't care. Xeiemia looked back upwards, her finger pointed straight up, her breaths steady for a few moments.

However a moment later a single red orb appeared at the tip of her finger, it stayed for a few moments before firing off into the air, piercing the floors above them effortlessly. Vladimir looked up the hole in shock, though he soon found himself levitating much to his distress, while Xeiemia was uncaring as she flew through the hole with Vladimir close behind.

The two exited on the top floor, Vladimir took a second to breath as he looked forward, his eyes squinted for a moment though they soon widened as he saw who was before him. Back from the dead, standing with a clearly irritated expression on his face, Raisax.

Raisax scoffed as he stated "Does thou have no vigor, no glory, just blasting a hole in a mans floor?" His teeth gritted harshly.

Xeiemia took a step forward as she stated "Your corpse will fall this time" Her words having a hint of irritation to them.

Raisax clenched his fists as he responded "Very well then…" A blade appeared in the grasp of his left hand out of nothing as he finished "Let thee see the end of thou pitiful attempts" His eyes squinted behind his mask.

Vladimir gripped his weapons nervously, his breaths steady but clearly forced, he was scared beyond any time prior. He glanced at Xeiemia who had raised a hand towards Raisax, he let out a deep exhale before suddenly disappearing from his place.

Vladimirs eyes widened for a moment until he realised he was behind him, he swiftly withdrew his blade but it was barely on time, Raisaxes sword struck the blade with such force it dug into the near flawless material.

Xeiemia appeared right in front of Raisax, her hand outstretched as it approached his face, a green glow emitting from her palm. Raisaxes eyes widened as he saw it approach, he gritted his teeth as he leapt away.

Xeiemia stopped in place as he leapt away, however swiftly she lowered a finger to point at him, the sound of metallic scraping echoed in their ears as suddenly several large saws manifested out of nothing and flew towards Raisax. He barely blocked the steel blades as Vladimir went on the offensive.

Vladimir swung his blade below Raisax to which he attempted to leap above the attack only to be met with a direct head shot from a barrage of small light blue blasts from Xeiemia. He fell back to which Vladimir swung his blade at his head only for Raisax to grab his wrist and shoved him into a wall.

Before Vladimir could retaliate Raisax pushed the blade against him, attempting to take his neck out with his own weapon. Vladimir withdrew the dagger swiftly as he attempted to stab Raisaxes chest to which he leapt away firmly, he grabbed his own sword with both hands and leapt forward.

Vladimir and his swords connected, the wind shattering all windows in the building, Vladimirs eyes widened as he felt the force of what felt like a thousand stars hit him at once. He couldn't keep this going forever, he attempted to kick Raisax in the chest only for him to take a step out of the way.

Raisax delivered a firm elbow to Vladimirs chin, an audible crack echoed in his ears as he ground himself. He swung a punch from the right to which Raisax blocked it with his elbow, grabbing Vladimirs arm and pulling him in for a kick to the chest before throwing him to the ground.

He grabbed his blade firmly as Vladimir recovered slowly from the blows, he groggily stood up as he kept his grip on his weapons tight. His eyes staring daggers into Raisaxes, who returned the view.

Raisax pulled his blade back as he swung his head down as he exhaled deeply before leaping at incredible speeds, the sound of the air surrounded him before ceasing as he swung. The slash destroyed the entire building, smoke poured out as the rubble flew in all directions.

Vladimir tumbled back as he fell across the landscape, landing on the hard rubble from the surrounding buildings as pieces of debris fell all around him. Xeiemia landed down in the middle of the crater of the building, staring Raisax down with a hateful expression.

Raisax lowered his head as he looked at her determinedly, grasping his blade as he prepared to leap, Xeiemia preparing an attack too. Vladimir pushed himself onto his feet as he dashed to the side of Xeiemia, gritting his teeth as he stared down Raisax.

Raisax took a step back as he prepared to rush forward, Vladimir however took charge and rushed at him, much to the confusion of Raisax. Raisax took a step forward, his foot digging into the ground, the terrain around them collapsing and breaking into pieces.

Vladimir lost his balance as he felt himself begin falling backward, the massive pieces of the rubble flew upwards to which Raisax leaped onto the debris his breath steady as he lowered his head. His eyes widening as he suddenly raised his view as he leapt at Vladimir at near light speeds.

Vladimir barely raised his dagger as Raisax swung his sword at his neck, the blade effortlessly piercing into the fabric and digging slightly into the flesh. Vladimirs eyes widened as he pushed himself away, Raisax looked at him to the side with a blank expression.

Raisaxes foot dug into the ground as he spun himself towards Vladimir, landing a kick to his chest, a distinct cracking sound echoed in his rib area. Vladimirs eyes widened as he flung into the debris nearby.

Raisax looked at him in disdain, though he only had a moment to think as he felt a presence above, he swiftly turned up to see Xeiemia pointing down with several sparks between her fingertips. The sparks shot off to surround Raisax firmly before swiftly closing in.

The sparks began to tick at an alarming rate before they soon expanded into an explosion, the blast sending waves of smoke across the battlefield. Xeiemia looked serious but hopeful for a moment before her eyes widened as she turned around to see Raisax charging towards her.

Raisax engulfed his hands in lightning as he swung his blade towards Xeiemia, she opened a portal between his blade and her and opened another where the blade swung out of. However Raisax simply let go of the weapon as he attempted to punch her with his thunder sworn fists.

Xeiemia leaned down as she stared him down firmly, Raisax swung to punch her as she took a step back and ground herself in the terrain, much like before the ground crumbled. The debris swiftly flew from the ground to the sky as they began to launch at Raisax who was outstretched towards Xeiemia.

She smirked as she let several blocks have their places above him, before they swiftly turned from concrete to an icy exterior. The ice swung itself towards Raisax who could only glance to one side in fear as they closed in.

His teeth gritted as it hit from all sides, the impact was only the start as Xeiemia raised her fist wide, though soon after she clenched it to which the ice began to melt. However alongside that Raisax felt burning all over him, the heat from the ice melting scorched his skin.

Though as he glanced around his eyes took notice of his hands, still engulfed in electricity, his eyes widened as he looked in slight fear. The water splashed onto his fingertips and in an instant the bright flashes of lightning surrounded him.

He felt his entire nervous system stop and restart as he stifled a scream, he desperately began to bang against the ice, cracks emerging across it. The water however began to stick to his body, like it was glue, by the time his body was stuck in water he smashed the ice blocks and fell to the ground.

He took heavy pained breaths as he gritted his teeth, glancing towards Xeiemia who had disappeared from her previous location, his eyes widened as he frantically glanced around. His breaths ceased as he looked in fear.

A single tap sound echoed behind him, his eyes wide as he slowly turned to see Xeiemia with a sly grin as she stared down at him. A single finger pointed towards him as she stood with full confidence over the quivering man before her.

She spoke silently and calmly "Cast Order…" She closed her eyes for a moment, however they reopened as she stated with full seriousness "Supernova Reign!..." In just a flash of light the area before them became another crater, an echo of Xeiemias Order.

She stood up as she leaned her neck one side to the other, though her eyes slowly reopened as she glanced to the side. Her eyes full of irritation, her fingers rubbing across her palms as she turned to face what was causing such annoyance.

Xeiemia stated firmly "It's irritating when someone survives a point black Order…But two? Now that's pushing it right?" She tilted her head as she looked forward.

There stood Raisax, his stance straight as he stared her down firmly, his teeth gritted as he withdrew his sword. His breaths slowly became lighter, and more rapid in succession. He cracked his wrist as he increased his grip on the handle.

He stated firmly "Thou won't take my country…This is MY Home!...She gave it to me…You won't take it from me!"  He prepared his attack as he leaned back.

Xeiemia raised her arm as she prepared to respond to the attack, her mind already fixated on a specific Order to utilize. Her breath exhaled deeply as she disappeared from Raisaxes view, his eyes widened for a moment, though he swiftly turned around to be met with a small burst of flames.

He swiped his sword at them to which several flew off due to the force while other were able to be slashed by him, he heard a loud noise from above to which when he looked up he caught sight of Xeiemia floating above with a ball of green energy in her palm.

His eyes widened as he leapt out of the way while Xeiemia shot off the attack, however he couldn't escape the full thing as it charred his wrist on his left arm, the same one he cracked earlier. He winced as he looked at Xeiemia who floated down to the ground, her hand outstretched to Raisax who ground himself.

He leapt across the area towards her to which she swiped her hand across his area, however instead of a direct attack multiple red orbs appeared in the air. Raisax saw this and leapt over them, attempting to avoid direct contact with another Order.

Xeiemia sighed as she stated "Cast Order, Crimson Awakening" A second later the orbs opened to multiple small flies within them.

The flies swiftly locked onto Raisax before launching themselves towards him, he took notice and attempted to jump towards Xeiemia, luring the flies at her. However as quickly as he jumped Xeiemia had appeared right behind him, her hand outstretched as she placed it on the back of his head.

She whispered calmly "Cast Order, Crashing Circuit" As she spoke Raisax felt an incredible increase in the gravity, the ground below him cracked from the weight suddenly placed on it.

He flew downwards towards the flies as his eyes were wide, the flies leached onto his torso firmly, a second after one would latch on it would begin increasing in heat via fast vibrations. Raisax slammed onto the ground as he was swarmed by the flies, he gasped as he felt the flies begin to catch fire, though it was hotter than any flames that could be lit by hand.

He gritted his teeth as Xeiemia watched in annoyance, though soon her eyes widened as she turned around, she had a serious expression as she stared off into the distance. However her eyes widened as she saw a bullet approach at incredible speeds, she brought up a portal swiftly which engulfed the attack and launched it at some debris which was pierced multiple times over.

Xeiemia took note of the strength as she prepared an attack, however the ground beneath her began to shake violently, like an earthquake but if it was orchestrated by a god. The buildings nearby collapsed from the vibrations, Xeiemia gritted her teeth as she floated upwards off the ground.

She took a quick sigh, though midway through it a slash of lightning swung at her vertically, she barely leaned out of the way of it. She flew away from the location as she looked down, her eyes widened as her mouth was open as she witnessed the flies disperse from Raisax who turned to face her firmly.

She gritted her teeth as she looked at him, he returned the gesture. She swiftly glanced to her side as she anticipated a flurry of bullets approaching her, she was correct as she brought up multiple portals to block it, however behind her was undefended as Raisax took advantage of that.

Her leapt up behind her with his sword engulfed in flames, his mouth closed and in soft breaths. Xeiemia barely could turn to see him as she fired off another portal to block him. Though before falling through he shot a wave of fire below him to propel himself above the portal.

Xeiemia flew out of the way, barely avoiding the stream of bullets passing her, the vibrations seemingly not effecting Raisax as he landed in front of her. She gritted her teeth as she attempted to think of an Order able to finish him off swiftly.

Raisax faced her firmly, for once he felt like he was in control, he felt like he could take on the world. He couldn't help but chuckle under his breath, he gripped his sword tightly as he watched Xeiemia look at him in concern, though there was still a hint of her looking down at him.

Behind Raisax under the collapsed buildings a slight groaning sound could be heard, a hand adorned in fingerless gloves feebly pushed against the rubble on him. Vladimir looked in anger at the rubble on him, his breaths heavy as he pondered his situation.

He was on deaths door, he joined the Champions to survive, however now he was just about to die only a few hours later. He felt the strength in his body leave as he tried pushing against the concrete on his legs.

He sighed to himself as he under his breath mumbled "I'm a fool…I couldn't do this…" He hated himself, his teeth gritted in annoyance.

He closed his eyes as he thought of his past, he was a gambler, he was known for being unbeatable in Poker in the underground, people would go out of their way to not play against him in fear of losing everything. His eyes reopened as he thought of that lifestyle…Did he like it?

He pushed his head against the dirt soaked ground, his eyes staring into the smoke clouded sky calmly. He didn't hate living like that…No…He despised it…Every day was another threat, another day he could die…Despite the harsh lifestyle…He still had a sense of self.

The man he drowned was not in revenge or in lack of payment…It was because he had proof against a group of people much like himself, Vladimir should've let them be taken away, they were threats. However for some reason he drowned that man, he saved his enemies for what purpose? Even if they knew, they wouldn't give any thanks, it's survival of the fittest.

Vladimir looked down at the concrete slab on his legs, his eyes near closed, he sighed as he attempted to push against it again. He lived that life for most of his time, why not finish it with a bit of luck? He shoved with all his strength as his teeth gritted even tighter.

His hands released from the block swiftly as they landed next to him, his eyes slowly closed as he thought of this. He had no way to stop this, he had no way to break out, he wanted to go down on his own terms, but there was no possible way.

He chuckled in his mask to himself, his eyes nearing tears as he scoffed to himself, how much he hated himself could not be stated. He wished he was better, he was like a bug next to a planet, there was nothing he could do to help Xeiemia or anyone, he was too weak.

He hated himself in both mentality and physicals, he was not strong physically, he saw that, there is nothing he can do to save himself. He imagines it, a wave of fire burning all his problems, but that's just a wild fantasy, you can't overcome everything with brute force, especially when you have none.

Xeiemia glanced to where Vladimir was before returning her gaze to Raisax, she called out to him "Vladimir! Are you dead already?..." She gritted her teeth as she sighed angrily through her throat, finishing her sentence "After all that you're gone!?! Are you just going to abandon us after we took you in you bastard?!?" She lowered her head in anger as she stared at Raisax.

Vladimir heard her as he looked off to the side, he sighed to himself as he muttered "Shut up shut up shut up…Oh just shut up…I can't help you, just fuck off…" He rubbed his face with his hand annoyedly, though as it left he spoke with a slight sadness "I can't break rocks, I can't beat a demigod…What do you expect from me?" He pressed his head deeper into the ground.

His hands began to twitch as they lay by his sides, he glanced to each one for a moment but figured it was his brain shutting them off. However another moment later they clenched firmly, he winced as he felt them collect blood in them, the veins feeling like they'll burst.

He groaned as he attempted to push himself up, but found the debris kept him pinned to the ground, he sat up as he looked at the concrete in anger. His fists quivering as he raised his hands, his head lowered as he pressed his palms firmly against the rubble, pushing firmly with all his strength.

His eyes closed as he stated "Come on, come on, get off me…Just fucking burn…Burn like these bastards around me…" His teeth gritted firmly.

He thought telling himself it would burn would trick himself to being able to push it more firmly, though swiftly his eyes widened as he witnessed something far different. There it was, the rubble, engulfed in flames, pink and green flames, unlike anything he had ever seen before.

There in his mind a name flooded into it, Twilight Core. His hand rose to press against his forehead firmly, though as he did he realised flames remained on his palms, a moment later it exploded around his head his eyes wide though soon they looked back down.

He didn't feel pain, he didn't feel the heat, he felt nothing from it, the only thing he felt was the pain in his hands from the blood. He soon looked towards his legs, the feeling was returning to them as the blood was no longer locked from them.

He slowly pushed himself upwards as he stood up, his legs wobbling as he reached his feet. His head faced the ground, his eyes wide as he took heavy breaths, his arms raising upwards. He reached to his back as he firmly took grasp on the sword.

The blade swung out of the sheathe effortlessly, he held it out firmly, his eyes catching vision of the shield on his arm, now shattered and digging into his skin. He groaned in slight pain as he prepared to run towards Raisax.

He stared him down firmly as Raisax approached Xeiemia calmly, who just watched him with a bored expression. Raisax scoffed as he saw Xeiemia look down at him despite all his efforts, he took a step back as he prepared to leap towards her.

Vladimirs eyes widened as he saw this, his teeth gritting even more as he gripped his sword with all his strength. He dug into the ground for a moment before leaping towards Raisax firmly, his entire body shaking, the blood in his veins swirling and slamming.

He lowered his head as he approached Raisax, who took notice of him approaching, he could only turn around swiftly to meet Vladimir who raised his hand towards him. Raisaxes eyes widened in shock as Vladimir prepared his attack.

He spoke in exasperated breaths "Cast…Order…Twilight Core!..." His voice was but a whisper as he stated the Order.

The palm of his hand began to brighten, as the fabric of his gloves melted off, and blinding lights of green and pink extruded from his palm in all directions. In an instant the flames exploded into Raisax, though he was able to react it was barely.

The flames struck the side of his face firmly, he was launched into the ground with such force the area collapsed. Raisax let out a deep exhale as he stood up, swiftly turning to Vladimir with both fear and hatred in his eyes, his mask shattered, half of his face seen by the two.

He had crimson red eyes much like Vladimir, however the rest was the opposite, his eyes were innocent but the rest of his face was sharp and harsh. Vladimir took a step forward firmly to which Raisax took a step back, Vlad gripped his sword firmly as the flames encapsulated the blade.

Raisax went to grab his sword, though as he tried Xeiemia had appeared to his side and landed a blast of lightning into his hip, sending him away. Raisax retaliated midair by launching several shots of fire towards her.

Xeiemia simply waved them away as Vladimir pressed the assault, Raisaxes eyes widened as his teeth gritted when he saw Vladimir jab his sword towards his torso. Raisax barely sidestepped the strike, the fabric of his shirt tore off and was incinerated instantly by the flames.

Xeiemia appeared above Raisax before launching a volley of blasts at him, the blasts surrounded him before suddenly becoming solid steel and wrapping around him. Vladimir leapt at him as Raisax attempted to escape the attack.

He sighed for a moment, his body tensing as he stayed still, however a moment later his whole body was covered in flames. The steel almost melting instantly, Vladimirs eyes widened as he saw Raisax engulf himself in flames.

Immediately after the steel melted Raisax attempted to elbow Vladimir on the head to which Vlad leapt back, however Raisax wasn't done. He engulfed his fist in a combination of fire and lightning before delivering a firm punch to Vladimirs temple.

Vlad leaned back as his eyes went wide, blood flew over his eyes as he couldn't even think. Xeiemia landed right behind Raisax surrounded by several black diamond objects, they launched firmly at him to which he leapt up and delivered a blast of energy onto the ground, several shots across the area in a triangular shape.

Vladimir and Xeiemia looked in confusion at his actions, they couldn't understand the purpose firing off the blasts in that placement. Xeiemia couldn't even sense any kind of Order prepared, it was just a basic attack.

However a moment later the ground began to shake violently even more than before, Vladimir barely could keep himself standing as the area was hit with vibrations like that of a greater earthquake. Xeiemia looked around in confusion at what caused the shaking, though she couldn't see anything.

Vladimir turned to Xeiemia as he exclaimed "Do you know what's happ-" His question was interrupted by a loud bang piercing his neck.

A bullet from the distance struck him right in his throat, sending him falling downwards onto the concrete. Xeiemia looked back to him in shock as he fell to the ground, his eyes wide as he collapsed onto the rubble below.

Raisax flew down towards Xeiemia with his sword in a swing, lightning engulfing his wrists. Xeiemia watched in concern as he approached her, she raised her hand in preparation while thinking of an Order to utilise.

However right before he reached her he leapt over back into the air, running off the destroyed area much to her confusion. Xeiemia kept her hand raised to Raisax who glanced back at her with a squinted eye.

Raisax spoke calmly to her "Let thou be claimed for eternity" His tone was serious while being determined.

Suddenly the ground beneath Xeiemia crumbled as the area began to fall apart, Xeiemia flew upwards in confusion though her eyes widened as she looked down. There was the two centipedes, but now they were longer than entire streets, both emerging from the centre of the triangle.

Xeiemia inhaled swiftly as she attempted to blast it, however she was interrupted by a bullet barely missing her hand. Her head turned in the direction to see a woman perched on a building with a sniper rifle.

Xeiemia scoffed at her, though she had no time to be angry as the centipedes began their assault, one grabbed Vladimir and drug him down into the ground while the other attacked Xeiemia. She gritted her teeth as she put her hands together, pointing her finger at them as she took a deep breath.

The centipede opened its mouth to her as she stated "Cast Order, Piercing Hollow" Her eyes flashed brightly like the sun as she spoke.

The centipede reached her and grabbed her before dragging her down underground, much to the relief of Raisax, he fell back as he sighed deeply. He stared into the sky as his unobscured gaze watched the smoke in the sky.

He called out to the sniper "Do thou be fine Faina?" He glanced down to where she was as he curiously asked.

She responded calmly "I'm fine, don't worry!" She had a somewhat tense vibe to her words which unnerved Raisax.

Underground the centipedes dragged Xeiemia and Vladimir together, the two watched the two giant creatures surround them. Vladimir watched in horror while Xeiemia was near uncaring, Vlad had been clutching his neck to stop any blood from being released as to not alert the centipedes to blood.

Xeiemia stood straight as she raised a finger up, she began to tick tock the finger side to side, her expression calm as she took slow and relaxed breaths. Vladimir watched in confusion as she continued the action, his eyes squinting as she kept doing it while the centipedes watched them.

He asked confusedly "What are you doing?" His eyes near closed.

Xeiemia tilted her head as she responded "Something to get us out, just be patient" Her tone was harsh and blunt.

Vladimirs eyes widened though he soon glanced to the side while attempted to take his mind off the centipedes, Xeiemia rotated her head enough to look at him staring off into the distance. Her eyes cold but calm.

She asked him firmly "So that was an Order, well done I will say, it wasn't bad, it was actually…A pretty good Order" Her head turned to him.

Vladimir looked at her in surprise as he responded "How? It's just fire" He scratched the back of his head confusedly.

Xeiemia tilted her head as she responded "That isn't a normal flame, that is Twilight flames, it's a once in a million Orders, I guess that's your Champion ability" She waved her hand dismissively.

Vladimir looked down for a moment before his head raised as he asked "Champion ability?" His eyes squinted to her.

Xeiemia stated bluntly "Something specific we all have, I have near unlimited Orders, Merkolax has his Doppelganger, Ivan has his Familiars, Elena is an all rounder, S-Seraphim has her idea construction" Her head constantly tilted from side to side as she spoke.

Vladimir walked to her side as he listened, he looked down for a moment as he thought about it. A specific ability, one every Champion has, his was the Twilight flames, are they really that good? It's just flames.

His eyes widened as he realised something, he swiftly asked her "Wait, do you…Actually see m-" His question was swiftly silenced.

Xeiemia shook her head as she responded "No you still have a long way to go to become a Champion in my eyes…But at least you have the heart of one" She tilted her head all the way in the other direction.

Vladimir looked at her in surprise but he sighed as he figured that was the max amount of recognition she would give. His head raised as he looked forward, seeing the two centipedes right in front of them.

Vladimir felt himself shiver in fear, his eyes near quivering as his breaths became laboured, Xeiemia however only grew a smug smirk as she pointed at the two. The two centipedes began to charge at the two, Vladimirs eyes widening in horror, however Xeiemia just gave a toothy grin as she slightly opened her mouth.

The centipedes approached at incredible speeds, just a moment before they reached the two Xeiemia spoke "Release" In that moment it was like the world itself shook.

Vladimir covered himself with his arms, though all he felt was gushing air and all he could hear was the sound of splattering blood. He slowly looked back to see the centipedes split in half, both of them far behind the two.

Xeiemia chuckled to herself, her Order was a latch on attack that could be activated at any time, she tilted her head to the side as she looked upwards, still with a smile. She cracked her neck as she grabbed onto Vladimir, preparing to leave, her eyes scanned the ground as to find the perfect place to escape from.

Her eyes widened as she flew upwards, much to Vladimirs confusion as they were flying towards rocks. However right before they reached it Xeiemia raised a finger and blasted a hole in the ceiling.

The area that was blasted was planned as it was where Raisax was sitting, his eyes widened as the ground below him crumbled. He leapt out of the way as Xeiemia and Vladimir landed down, Raisax withdrew his blade as he prepared to fight the two.

However Xeiemia waved her hand into the air, nothing came of it for a moment until suddenly their surroundings were covered in smoke. Vladimir watched in shock though his eyes widened as he realised he could see through the clouds around him.

He clenched his hand around his sword as he leaped towards Raisax who could barely notice he was incoming, Raisax glanced in the direction of soft noise in concern, though it was too late. Vladimir landed right in front of him, Raisax barely able to pull his sword to face him, Vladimir slashed firmly with his blade to which Raisax barely blocked it.

Vladimir reached behind himself as he withdrew the knife, much to the horror of Raisax who couldn't stop it in time. The blade swung at speeds inconceivable, Raisax still was blocking the sword so he couldn't stop the dagger before it reached him.

The blade cleaved through its target like butter, Raisaxes eyes widened in pain as he yelled out before Vladimir delivered a firm kick to his chest. He flung away with his sword slamming into the ground next to him, alongside the sword landed his hand, detached, from the wrist up.

Xeiemia took a step towards Raisax as she pointed a finger upwards, though her eyes suddenly darted behind her. The sound of a bang echoed as a bullet barely missed Xeiemias face, though she was uncaring, she pointed the finger in the direction, a flash of blue energy echoed from her fingertip before disappearing.

Suddenly the area the woman laid at lit up, the temperature rising before suddenly, it was engulfed in light blue light, reaching temperature above the suns core. Raisax looked up in horror and sadness, he gritted his teeth as he stood up.

His arms lay lifelessly by his sides as he stated "Why?...Why would you kill her? Why do this? We just wanted…A Life…" He grasped his forehead firmly as he was overwhelmed.

Xeiemia turned to him as she stated firmly "By taking another?" Her head lowered as she finished "Life…Is a short ideal…We all die someday, we cannot escape the end, but why end another early?" Her eyes had hatred but also sorrow in them as she stared him down.

Raisax scoffed to himself as he mumbled "Not for all…" His single hand clenched firmly.

Xeiemia raised her hand in the air as she spoke silently "Cast Order…Correction" Nothing remained for a second.

Before suddenly a bright light engulfed the three, no sound, no feeling, no pain, nothing. Vladimir closed his eyes but found he had seemingly none, but yet he had the feeling of closing his eyes.

Sound returned in the sound of crackling in the distance, Vladimir slowly reopened his eyes to which they widened in horror. There was a massive blast of flames, one surrounding the entire country.

Xeiemia stood next to him as she stated "Correction is probably my strongest ability, it can be easily given a level…At this one it was roughly six Hydrogen Bombs in power" She tilted her head as she spoke.

Vladimir looked at her in shock as he asked "What even are you?" His eyes quivered in confusion.

Xeiemia sighed as she leaned down and pointed at him as she stated "A Champion, what you hope to be right? Well word of advice, we're all fucked in the head, so if you are too…" She paused as she went silent for a moment before leaning back up and finishing "You'll fit right in" She rotated her neck both ways before turning around.

Vladimir walked to her side as he stared forward in thought, is this really what he should do? Become a fighter of near godlike beings, he sighed to himself as he looked up, what was he doing with his life now? From a gambler and a criminal to a multiverse warrior? What the hell?

Xeiemia turned to him as she asked calmly "Ready to go back?" Her eyes calm and relaxed.

Vladimir looked at her for a moment before nodding, Xeiemia turned away as she began walking down the street they were on, Vladimir following close behind. He though about her, someone the Champions disliked, he wondered why they did…Now he understood.

Vladimir stated calmly to her "You're a bitch" His voice had no remorse or nervousness for the first time after meeting the Champions.

Xeiemia responded bluntly but calmly "Yea" She went silent for a moment before speaking thoughtfully "It's easier, it makes it less painful when you lose someone if you didn't know them well, and no one wants to know me because of how I act" She stared upwards calmly.

Vladimir looked at her in surprise, he stayed silent for a second before speaking "I would actually be fine with learning more about you…We will be working together after all right? It would be easier to work the more you know the person next to you" He tilted his head to her.

Xeiemia stopped in place as she looked at him, surprisedly asking "Really now? You actually want to know more about me?..." Her eyes wide slightly.

Vladimir nodded firmly "Yea" He spoke bluntly and calmly.

Xeiemia raised her hand and a portal appeared to their side, the way back was now open. Xeiemia walked towards it, taking a step in calmly as she looked down, her eyes lifeless as she let out empty calm breaths.

She stopped midway in as she turned to Vladimir as she stated calmly "I would-..." She trailed off "A-appre…" She couldn't bring herself to say it in one go "-Ciate that…" She turned away with her breaths heavy, muttering to herself "Yea…"

Vladimir watched her in confusion but followed her through the portal, his own thoughts dwelling on why getting that out was so hard. The portal ride this time took half a second mentally, before they knew it they were back out.

The two stepped out calmly, Xeiemia cracking her neck again as she swiftly began to leave the portal room, not having any care for Vladimir who was still in thought. He quickly follow close behind, his body hurting after the battle.

Xeiemia stopped in the middle of the street, her head swiftly turning to Vladimir as she stated "Report that we have dealt with the mission and it was an Arch Cardinal in the cult, I'm going to bed" She stretched her arm over her head as she turned away and began to walk away.

Vladimir looked at her in surprise before responding "U-Uh…Okay…" His eyes slowly moved back to the beauty of the area, he had forgotten how nice it was.

His eyes kept glancing at Xeiemia who seemed to have something wrong, she stopped in place as she was walking away. She rested a hand on her temple as she sighed, her balance wobbling before she soon fell forward.

Vladimirs eyes widened as he attempted to run to her, however before he could think another person stood there with Xeiemia in their arms. Vladimir looked at the person and his eyes widened in surprise, it was another woman with another large hat, her eyes a scarlet red as she looked down at Xeiemia with a concerned expression.

She muttered to her "Don't worry, you're home, let's get you to bed" She pulled her into her arms before carrying her firmly.

The woman glanced to the side to see Vladimir, her eyes widened in surprise as she asked "Um, who are you?" Her eyes squinted slightly.

Vladimir looked in surprise as he asked "Oh uh, I'm a n-" He was cut off by the woman before him.

She swiftly stated "Ohh you're a new Champion, I can see the mark through your outfit…Tough first mission huh?" She smirked to him to which he nodded firmly with a sigh.

The woman slowly approached him as she stated "You need to let the big man know the missions done before you can hit the sack too"

Vladimir looked at her in surprise as he responded "Oh I know about that, there's just a problem…Well two, I don't know where he is…And I don't have place to sleep" He scratched the back of his head nervously.

The woman just turned to the side as she stated "There's a couple signs so just follow them, it's a bit strange Ennzoll didn't let you know your housing before, but he'll likely let you know after this" She turned back to him.

Vladimir nodded to her as he said "Thank you very much" He felt a tinge of joy that someone was actively helping him out of their own choice.

She nodded to him before turning around, she exclaimed one more thing to him "I hope you'll join us tomorrow in our main room, we have all kinds of stuff to do there" She tilted her head upwards.

Vladimir looked at her as she walked away in surprise, but he soon smiled under his mask. Though that reminded him he needed to ask Boris for a way to get it fixed, then he remembered the shield, his body tensed up as he thought of what he needed to get fixed on his outfit and items.

He shook his head as he began to walk towards where Ennzoll was, his mind still occupied by many things as he traversed the area. He found it strange no one was there but then he remembered there was nearly no one else working with the Ennzoll faction.

He scratched the back of his head firmly as he walked through the hallways, he sighed deeply as he remembered the halls on the way to Ennzoll. He looked up calmly as he attempted to steel himself to meet Ennzoll again.

He eventually reached the door, its imposing structure still towered over him, he gulped as he pushed against it, opening it firmly. There stood Ennzoll pinching his chin in thought, though his attention was caught as he turned to see Vladimir.

Ennzoll look in surprise but smiled as he exclaimed "I'm overjoyed to see your return, so quickly too…Did Xeiemia finish it by herself?" He had a slight joking tone to his voice.

Vladimir shook his head as he responded "Well not fully, she did do quite a bit, I would be dead multiple times over without her, but I did do my part, I helped in the fight" His hands rest by his sides.

Ennzoll took a few steps towards him as he asked "So I take it Borai was a challenge?" He tilted his head as he asked.

Vladimir looked up at him in surprise before he responded "Borai never existed, it was a false name, his actual name was Raisax, he was an Arch Cardinal in the cult" His voice took on a more serious tone as he finished.

Ennzoll pinched his chin as he thought, he asked "Did he have any purpose there?"

Vladimir shook his head as he responded "I believe the country actually belonged to him"

Ennzoll looked at him in surprise but turned away calmly as he thought, his mind cluttered with why the cult was there. Vladimir looked at him thoughtfully, however he suddenly was met with a sudden sharp pain over most of his body, mostly in his neck.

Ennzoll looked at him in confusion as he asked "Are you injured?" He had a sense of concern in his tone.

Vladimir nodded firmly as he leaned down while his body ached, however it wouldn't for much longer. Ennzoll calmly placed his hand on the back of his head, and in a few moments Vladimir felt his neck and the rest of his body regenerate.

He slowly rose back up as he felt his body be fine, Ennzoll looked down at him calmly while Vladimir looked at him in confusion. Ennzoll took a few steps away as a soft smile came on his face, Vladimir looked at his hand as he realised what happened.

Vladimir muttered in shock "You can regenerate? You really are a god" His eyes wide and quivering.

Ennzolls smile slowly faded as he responded "Do you really see me as an absolute immortal god?" His head tilted calmly.

Vladimir looked at him before nodding calmly, Ennzoll slowly closed his eyes as he brought his hand up. In his palm a sword appeared, a crimson red one with a unique black hilt, one that seemed to be calling to Vladimir.

Ennzoll stated "This is the weapon I have made for you, however I do believe you need more experience before being given it" He calmly spoke.

Ennzoll then gestured for Vladimir to approach him, Vlad calmly walked in front of him while wondering why he was saying this. Ennzoll reached to the blade and brought up his own arm, it was outstretched much to the confusion of Vladimir.

Ennzoll reached the blade to his arm, Vladimirs eyes widened in shock and horror as he realised what he was doing. Ennzoll dug deeply into his own arm, slowly slashing across his wrist to his elbow, blood pouring out of his arm, yet he seemed unphased.

Ennzoll stated calmly "I am a god yes…But I am not unkillable, we live, we feel emotions, we bleed the same way you do, we have the same ambitions as you do" He withdrew the blade from his arm, the skin swiftly regenerating.

Ennzoll looked back to Vladimir as he calmly stated "Now, I want you to see me the same way you see others, as a person, not some divine entity beyond your reach okay?" His tone had a sense of sincerity to it.

Vladimir nodded firmly to him to which Ennzoll smiled, he reached out his hand to Vladimir before suddenly a pair of keys appeared in his palm with the number 23 on it. Vladimir nervously took the keys from Ennzoll who smiled to him.

Ennzoll stated calmly "I'll let Nikolai and Boris know you need a remade outfit and equipment, don't worry about that, you should go rest now" He smiled happily to him.

Vladimir looked at him in amazement and gratefulness, he smiled to him and nodded firmly, he couldn't stop himself from feeling joy from this. Vladimirs mind suddenly went to Xeiemia as he remembered she had fainted before, he looked at Ennzoll nervously.

He worriedly asked "Um so, Xeiemia had fainted before, should we be worried about that? I think another Champion is bringing her to her bed but I'm just a bit worried" He scratched the back of his head concernedly.

Ennzoll shook his head as he responded "If that Champion had a tall hat like Xeiemias, then no, no need to worry, Xeiemias responsible with her health, she wouldn't cause life threatening injuries carelessly"

Vladimir looked at him in surprise as he asked "Wait so, was she meant to send off a nuclear blast in the city?" He asked as he figured if he acted like this about her she was probably in the right.

Ennzoll looked at him in surprise for a moment before bluntly responding "N-No…Sh-she wasn't…" He glanced off to the side nervously before returning his gaze.

He stated rushingly "Well as a Champion it's your job to let her know she isn't suitable enough to mentor you…I'll…Find someone else"

Vladimir looked at him in surprise but suddenly he felt himself begin to levitate towards the door, Ennzoll waving goodbye calmly much to his confusion. Vladimir landed back on the ground outside as Ennzoll turned away.

He stated calmly "I'm busy now so bye bye, good night!" With that the door shut firmly.

Vladimir looked in complete confusion, he scratched the back of his head as he pressed against the doorway, though he soon sighed as he turned away. His mind was stuck on one thing though, who would mentor him through being a Champion if not Xeiemia?

Vladimir walked through the nearby hallway looking for the door with the number on his key, he felt a slight sense of nervousness as he didn't know if it was even in the building. However his eyes caught sight of one door with the number on it, he sighed deeply as he approached it.

He calmly opened the doorway, pushing the door open with slight tension, his gaze scanned the room. Much to his surprise it was very nice, with a large bed and a desk, his eyes widened as he saw there was an exact replica of his outfit already on the bed.

He slowly approached it and picked it up, it felt the same, his eyes widened more as he realized it was the exact same. He calmly placed it on a chair next to the bed as he began to take off the outfit he currently had on, he took a deep breath as he got into the bed after getting undressed.

He stared at the ceiling calmly, wondering what his life was now, a Champion Of Ennzoll. He wasn't unhappy, not at all, after all, this was the first time he got a warm bed to sleep in what felt like years.

Meanwhile the rubble of the destroyed battlefield lay across the former country, the smoke destroying all breathable air, and covering all vision. In the silence could be heard scuttling which was followed by the sound of dripping liquid, the sound approached a pile of rubble and a wooden slab before revealing itself.

There was an arm that wasn't attached to any body but yet could interact with anything like it was a living creature. It crawled across the rubble, dragging itself across it and creating a trail of blood spanning the battlefield.

There sound of muffled yelling burst from the rubble the hand was on, the voice was both elegant and pained. The hand reached to the side of the rubble and began pulling it away, what lay beneath it was a familiar sight.

The voice yelled out no longer muffled in his elegant speech patterns "AHHH! Blast the harm that woes me so! As is the curse of Eternal Life!" His arm, missing a hand rose to the sky as he attempted to think.

His mask was half broken, so was the one on his mouth, Raisax shut his eyes for a moment as he groaned loudly. His hand approached his arm which he took notice of, his arm landing next to the bottom of the lost arm.

He spoke to it "Allow yourself to rejuvenate your master! Give thou life for the greater power!" He suppressed a smile as he looked at it.

Upon noticing the hand was failing to reattach he gritted his teeth as he mumbled through them in annoyance "Come on you little shit" His body tensed up as he spoke.

The arm reached his one to which it began to reattach, the part between them regenerating swiftly, soon his arm was fully reattached. He gritted his teeth enough to dig them into one another as he pushed himself upward, the rubble and debris on his legs falling off as he sat up.

He took heavy breaths into his burning lungs as sweat poured from his forehead, his hand grasping his chest as he looked around, seeing his once allies, now corpses laying in the debris.

His ribs slowly regrew into the empty expanse of his hip, though the tissue was thin and fragile, like a piece of paper. He hissed gutturally as he pushed himself onto his feet, his breath heavy while his body attempted to pull itself together.

He looked around the landscape, seeing the rubble across everything, his hand grasping his hip enough for it to burn, though he barely could notice it. He gritted his teeth as he looked around in shock, his lips curling over each other before retracting, his teeth shinning each retraction.

He whimpered to himself as he mumbled "How could this happen to thee? How could thy country be destroyed?" He continued glancing in all directions until his eyes fell on one thing, a body in the destruction, his eyes quivered in horror as he felt like he could cry.

There Faina lay, her corpse splattered but still recognisable, he took heavy breaths as he saw her dead, he gritted his teeth as he yelled out "Damn it…Why? These…MONSTERS!" He looked up as he grasped his waist firmly.

His eyes widened as he realised something, he still had a communicator on his waist, it wasn't destroyed. He swiftly grabbed it and tried to call for any kind of help from the cult, he fidgeted with it for a bit as it was barely working.

However eventually it picked up a signal, a groggy voice came from it "Hello? Who is this?" The voice seemed irritated and uncaring.

Raisax called out firmly "Terin thou speaketh to me Raisax, I request assistance…Thy country has been destroyed, I need help to get out of here" He gulped firmly as he finished.

Terin gave his communicator a confused look with a hint of disgust before stating "Raisax, your country was destroyed? Well I don't see any more usage in you…Goodbye" He stated bluntly and calmly.

He swiftly twisted the knob to turn off the communication, much to the dismay of Raisax who grasped it tightly and angrily yelled out to Terin who was long gone. His finger broke into the machine as he gritted his teeth while staring down.

Raisax muttered in hatred and confusion to himself "Why?..." The destroyed rubble surrounded him on all directions.

He collapsed onto his knees as he stared at the broken communicator, the flames and smoke surrounded him and charred his lungs. He sobbed silently to himself, for no one to hear, no one there to comfort him in his lowest hour.

His eyes widened as he saw a light blue light from the side, he glanced in that direction to see Fainas body, in her heart was the artificial core she had installed. His eyes widened as he realised it still had power, though not enough to save her…But it might have enough for him.

Raisax looked at her in thoughtfulness, but then stated calmly "It seems thou will assist me one more time"
