Chapter 3: Training and Job

The sun began to rise in the Shiganshina District. Adam sat on the roof of an old building with Mikasa, who was still silent after their long night.

Adam sighed. It was time to speak the truth.

"Mikasa," he called.

The little girl turned around with a blank stare. Her eyes were still swollen from crying all night.

Adam rubbed the back of his neck. "I have to be honest with you. Our situation is... not good."

Mikasa was silent, waiting for an explanation.

"You don't have a home anymore. Your parents are..." Adam was silent for a moment, then continued, "I know it's hard, but we have to focus on the future. Right now, we only have one choice-survive."

Mikasa bit her lip, trying to hold back tears.

"But... I don't know where to go," she said softly.

Adam patted her shoulder gently. "I don't have a home either, so we can help each other out. But the thing is..."

His stomach rumbled.

Mikasa glanced at him, and for the first time since yesterday, the corners of her lips lifted slightly.

Adam sighed. "Yes, we need money. If we don't, we'll starve all the time."

Mikasa nodded slowly. "How can we get money?"

Adam grinned. "Well, I have some ideas. But first..."

He stood up and stretched. "I need to get stronger first!"

Training Begins!

Adam knew one thing, if he wanted to survive in this world, he couldn't rely on luck forever.

He had to train his body.

In a vacant lot near the district, Adam started with basic training.

Push-ups

Sit-ups

Run around town

However, what set him apart from others was his ability to learn quickly.

Every move he made, he analyzed instinctively. If his posture is wrong, his body immediately adjusts. If he was out of breath, he figured out how to regulate breathing more efficiently.

Within a few days, changes began to appear.

His small body started to get stronger. Her breathing was more stable. His movements were faster.

Adam wasn't just practicing-he was evolving.

Mikasa Watching Adam

Mikasa sat nearby, watching Adam as he practiced relentlessly.

She couldn't understand why Adam was so excited.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked.

Adam paused, looking up at the sky. "Because I don't want to die."

He turned to Mikasa and smiled. "And I don't want you to die either."

Mikasa was silent. The words made her chest feel warm.

Ever since her parents died, she felt like the world was too cruel. However, Adam...

He was different.

After training, they returned to the district to find ways to earn money.

Adam thought hard. He was just a seven-year-old boy-no one would hire a kid this small.

"Okay, think like a game. If this is an RPG, the fastest way to get money is usually..."

She smiled.

"Mikasa, let's become freelance job seekers!"

Mikasa frowned. "Freelance?"

Adam nodded. "Yup! Basically, we'll do small jobs for people. Lift things, help clean, anything that makes money!"

Mikasa looked doubtful, but finally nodded.

And once they started, the results were surprising.

Within a few days, they were already famous in the district as the "Odd job kid."

A butcher asked them to deliver an order.

An old lady asked them to clean her house.

Even a military soldier asked for help carrying equipment (not weapon)!

The money they raised was enough to buy food and new clothes.

When Mikasa took her first bite of the bread bought with their hard work, she smiled a little.

"I'm happy," she said quietly.

Adam grinned. "Of course you are. We make a great team!"

Mikasa looked at him for a moment, then nodded.

That night, they sat under the stars, enjoying the fruits of their labor.
