Chapter 9: The Destruction Begins!

Time Skip Five Years Later

After five years of hard training, Adam and Mikasa have grown into formidable warriors. They are now 12 years old and are going about their day as usual in Shiganshina District.

The sky was clear, the sound of children's laughter could be heard in the streets, and the air was filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread.

Adam walked leisurely down the main street, hands in his pockets, while Mikasa walked beside him.

"You look strange today," Mikasa said, turning to Adam with a hint of suspicion.

Adam raised an eyebrow. "Strange how?"

Mikasa squinted. "I don't know... like a bad feeling."

Adam sighed and looked up at the blue sky. "Maybe you're just too tense. Besides, the world is bad enough without us having to worry about things that haven't happened yet."

Mikasa remained silent, but the bad feeling didn't go away.

And then...

A loud bang shook the air.

Everyone on the street instantly turned their heads towards the outside wall.

"WHAT IS IT?!"

A rumbling sound shook the ground, and within seconds-

BOOM!

The top of Maria's Wall exploded.

From behind the smoke and debris, a gigantic 60-meter-tall figure stood tall atop the wall.

Colossal Titan.

Its steamy body and empty eyes stared down, as if judging the small world of humans hiding inside the wall.

Then, with slow but powerful movements, it swung its legs towards the main gate.

DUARR!!!

The gate of the Wall of Mary shattered instantly.

The shockwave made the ground tremble and sent many people flying.

Adam immediately pulled Mikasa's hand and ran into a narrow alley. "SHIT! Here it is!"

Mikasa, who was usually calm, looked surprised to see such a large creature. "What is it...?"

Adam didn't have time to answer, because in the distance-dust was flying and the ground started shaking again.

He turned his head and his eyes widened.

From the gate that had just been destroyed, another huge figure was running at incredible speed.

Armored Titan.

His body was covered in steel-like plates, and he was running straight towards Shiganshina's inner gate.

"If he destroys the inner gate..." Adam gritted his teeth.

They would lose this entire district.

Screams echoed throughout the city. People were running around, children were crying, and the soldiers were trying to control the situation.

But... nothing could stop this.

The Titans began to pour through the shattered gates, trampling everything in their path.

A mother tried to pull her child from under the rubble-but a 10-meter Titan dropped his hand and grabbed the woman.

"HELP!"

Adam saw everything happen in slow motion.

The blood boiled inside him.

He knew this was no time to think.

He had to act.

"Mikasa! We have to move!"

Mikasa, who was initially transfixed, immediately refocused. She grasped her hand tightly. "What should we do?"

Adam looked around, his brain working fast.

They were still too young to have ODM Gear, but they had something more important-speed and survival experience.

Adam gritted his teeth.

"Mikasa, we need to get out of this district."

Mikasa looked at him with eyes full of conviction. "Okay."

Without hesitation, they ran towards the rubble, preparing for the hell that had just begun.
