Sparks flew rapidly in midair as the two collided in an intense battle.
The ground shattered, trees were sliced through, and boulders were pulverized to pieces.
"Ding!" "Ding!" "Ding!" "Ding!" "Ding!" "Ding!"
Sounds of metal colliding escaped through the forest as the sparks of their attacks started to increase in frequency.
However, the Lizardman wasn't able to keep up with Lucian's speed of attacks.
"Slow!!" "Too slow!"
Lucian roared in dissatisfaction.
He suddenly increased his attack speed. His spear passed through a gap in the Lizardman's attack and pierced through its heart.
However, the creature actually managed to twist its waist, avoiding a fatal blow, as the spearhead pierced a hole through its ribs.
In that split second, a dark blur passed through Lucian's head.
Lucian's eyes immediately flashed as he twisted his head.
"BANG!"
A stone blade sliced through Lucian's shoulder.
"Plop!"
Lucian watched as his right arm holding the spear fell to the ground in slow motion.
'Eh? My hand was actually severed?'
As he was stunned, the Lizardman suddenly lunged towards him in a bear hug.
Lucian was expressionless and instantly burst out with twice the speed he had been moving at.
He sidestepped the rush and swept his right leg like a whip; it caught the Lizardman behind the knees.
With a sickening crack, the creature's legs gave way. It crashed to the ground, rolling and hissing.
At that moment, Lucian felt an extremely irritating itching sensation on his right shoulder.
He only glanced at it when he saw that half of his arm had fully regenerated!
Lucian slowly walked towards the downed creature, and within those few seconds, a satisfying pop could be heard as his severed arm fully regrew.
With a heavy stomp to the ground, his fallen spear flew upwards.
Catching the airborne spear with his new right arm, Lucian pointed at the creature on the ground and, without hesitation, stabbed his long spear through its throat.
[Lizardmen Elite Sentry Eliminated!]
+200 EXP | +20 Relic Gold Coins | Golden Blade[ Iron Grade]
[SS-Rank Skill: Blood Devour Activated!] → +5 Strength
The Elite's eyes widened in shock, then dimmed as life left its body. Lucian withdrew his weapon, breathing heavily despite his endless stamina.
[Level Up!] [You have reached Level 5!] [+2 to all stats]
He was still expressionless even after leveling up. He was angry at himself.
He had thought the red-scaled beast had the same intelligence as the others, and he hadn't realized he had fallen for its trap.
It had used the same technique he had been using all this while, inflicting injuries with massive damage!
He had underestimated it, allowing it to redirect a sure-death blow and inflict his own near-fatal blow. If his agility had been lower by at least 2 points, his head would have been divided in two.

Most importantly, his exp points had finally surpassed the 1000 mark; he had finally accumulated enough experience for a reroll.
Excitement gripped Lucian as he said, "System, reroll my strength!"
"ERROR! Unable to affect host's strength directly."
His shoulders dropped in disappointment. But it was to be expected. If he could do that, he would easily become the strongest in the world.
"Reroll my spear."
The standard-issue combat spear had been given to him by the academy for winning a combat competition against another school.
It wasn't a relic, but it was impressive and could be considered just below a Bronze-rank weapon.
Moreover, it had served him well throughout the floor.
Suddenly, the weapon started to glow. It flew from his grasp and levitated in midair as it began to change.
[Rerolling Standard Combat Spear...]
A giant die with numbers ranging from 1 to 10,000 appeared and began rolling at high speed. As it slowed down, the number 1,876 shone brightly.
[1,876x Reroll has been triggered!] [Standard Combat Spear → Dragon Soul Devourer]
The spear's form blurred, its structure breaking down and reforming.
Metal and composite materials flowed like liquid, reshaping into something entirely new.
When the glow faded, a magnificent weapon hovered before him. Its shaft was midnight black, seemingly absorbing light rather than reflecting it.
The spear blade was crimson, almost like crystallized blood, with strange runes that ran from the body to the spear tip.
[Congratulations! You have acquired a Legendary Weapon!]

Lucian was stunned. He thought his luck might be bad this time, but he had actually gotten a legendary weapon on his second try.
God Relics are divided into six stages: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and God weapon.
It was just two shots away from being a God weapon!
The weapon fell into his arms, and it felt impossibly light yet radiated a sense of immense power. The runes along the blade pulsed in rhythm with his heartbeat, as if the weapon were alive.
A giddy grin appeared on his face as he looked towards the encampment.
[First Floor: Lizardmen World]
[Objective: Clear the floor by eliminating the Lizardmen King and his minions.]
[Rank: F Rank]
[Time Limit: 8 hours (0hrs:23min:44secs remaining)]
Time was growing short.
He needed to clear this floor before then, or else he would be locked in here forever when the timer went off.
The encampment was only 200 meters away from him, the central bonfire casting an ominous glow against the darkening sky.
He could make out numerous Lizardmen warriors within the settlement, and from their aura, they seemed even stronger than the patrol teams he had killed.
