Chapter 125: Restructuring Authority

Chris didn't waste time.

"Ethan Kingsley is now the Head of Foreign Affairs," he declared, his voice cutting through the room like a blade.

Some of the officials stiffened—Ethan wasn't a politician. He wasn't a diplomat. He was something far more dangerous: a strategist. A man who understood power not in theory, but in practice.

Ethan, standing beside Chris, simply nodded. He had expected this.

Chris turned to him. "Effective immediately, I want every foreign leader contacted. They will be informed that all negotiations, alliances, and deals now run through you."

Ethan smirked. "Understood."

The Secretary of State hesitated before speaking. "Sir, with all due respect, appointing a non-career diplomat to this position—"

Chris didn't let him finish. He leaned forward, his voice dangerously calm.

"Career diplomats built the mess we're in. I need someone who understands how power actually works." His gaze hardened. "Ethan doesn't negotiate from weakness. He doesn't beg for cooperation—he commands it."

Ethan placed a file on the table, flipping it open. "I've already begun structuring the new approach. We prioritize power players—leaders who actually shape the world, not just those who hold ceremonial titles."

Chris nodded. "Start with the G7 and BRICS nations. I want private meetings scheduled. The Middle East, Asia, Europe—I need to know where each leader stands and what they want from us."

Ethan tapped the list. "There are already whispers about your rise, Chris. Some fear it. Some want in. The question is, how do you want to play this?"

Chris smirked.

"We don't play. We set the rules."

Ethan returned the smirk and picked up his phone. Within seconds, his orders were being relayed. The world was about to learn that Christopher Blackwood's America wasn't one to be ignored.

Chris turned back to the room. The old era of politics was over.

"Prepare for incoming delegations. This administration doesn't wait. We act."

And just like that, the global power shift had begun.
