Classic Blackwood stepped out of his car, the momentary silence inside his personal residence shattered the second he walked in.
Christiana was already waiting for him, arms crossed, an infuriating smirk on her face.
"You look calm for someone whose entire future was just decided," she said, watching his reaction closely.
Classic exhaled sharply, tugging off his blazer and tossing it onto a chair. "If you're here to gloat, save it."
"Oh, I don't need to gloat," she said sweetly. "Dad already did all the work."
Classic's jaw tightened. He had barely stepped into his study when his phone buzzed with an urgent summons from his father. The tone of the message alone told him everything—this wasn't a discussion.
And then Ethan arrived, placing a sealed envelope on his desk.
"A royal invitation," Ethan said simply.
Classic picked it up, his fingers tightening around the thick parchment as he read the official seal: The House of Saud.
His gaze flicked to Ethan. "Tell me this isn't what I think it is."
Ethan didn't answer, which only confirmed it.
"You're joking." Classic dropped the envelope, leaning against his desk. "I thought this was about my company, not—"
"Your father is securing the future," Ethan cut in. "And so are the Saudis."
Classic scoffed, running a hand through his hair. He should've seen this coming. A marriage between the Blackwood and Saudi royal families wasn't just about power—it was about cementing an unbreakable empire.
"I don't need a political marriage."
"That's not your choice," Ethan said bluntly.
Classic clenched his jaw. "And what if I refuse?"
Ethan's expression didn't change. "Then you should probably prepare for war—with your father."
Christiana, who had been listening from the corner, let out a laugh. "You really thought you could choose whoever you wanted?" she taunted. "That's cute."
Classic glared at her, but she only grinned.
"You better hope your little wildcard is worth all this trouble," she added before walking out.
Classic remained frozen, his mind racing.
A marriage to the Crown Princess of Saudi Arabia.
A global alliance.
A future that wasn't his to control.
For the first time in his life, Classic felt like a pawn in his own game.
