Ethan Carter – The Purge Begins
Chris had given the order. Now, it was time to execute.
I sat in my private office, fingers tapping against my desk as I finalized the list of removals. Each name carried weight—people who had once held power but had now become obstacles.
First, the Minister of Treasury. A fool who thought he could get away with funneling imperial funds into private accounts. I sent a coded message to my operatives. By sunrise, he'd either resign or disappear.
Next, the Minister of War. He had been hesitant in decision-making, too cautious, too reluctant. We needed strength, not hesitation. I dialed one of my top generals. "Effective immediately, you're the new Minister of War. Make sure the former one understands his services are no longer required."
Then, the Prime Minister.
I leaned back, considering my approach. Unlike the others, he wouldn't go quietly. He was a strategist, someone who had spent years weaving his influence into the empire. If we let him, he would attempt to rebel.
Chris must have anticipated this. That's why he gave me full control.
I made one call. The guards would arrest him by nightfall.
Midnight – The Royal Courtyard
The three men knelt before me, stripped of their titles, their power, and soon, their freedom.
I stepped forward, my gaze cold. "You served the empire once, but your time is over."
The Minister of Treasury begged. The Minister of War simply accepted his fate. The Prime Minister?
He laughed. "You think Chris will rule uncontested? The empire is bigger than him. Than you. There are forces you don't understand—"
I shot him in the leg.
He collapsed, screaming, and I crouched beside him. "I understand more than you think. But you… you just lost your place in history."
I straightened, nodded to my men, and they dragged the three away.
By morning, the empire would awaken to a new reality.
