Chris Blackwood – Absolute Authority
I sat in my private chamber, a glass of wine in hand, as I watched the live security feed from Ethan's base. The Prime Minister was still alive.
Unacceptable.
I picked up my phone and dialed. Ethan answered immediately.
"Your Majesty."
My voice was sharp. "Kill him. Now."
Ethan hesitated for only a second. "You don't want more information?"
I leaned forward. "There is no more information. He had his chance to be useful. Now, he's just a liability."
Ethan sighed. "Understood."
I switched my screen to the interrogation room's live feed. The Prime Minister sat in chains, head lowered, broken but still breathing.
Then the door opened. Ethan stepped in, gun in hand.
The Prime Minister looked up, eyes weary. "So, this is it?"
Ethan gave him a cold stare. "Your fate was sealed the moment you betrayed the empire."
A gunshot rang out.
Blood splattered across the concrete floor. The Prime Minister's body slumped forward—lifeless.
I smirked. "Good. Now clean up the mess."
Ethan nodded. "Consider it done."
I ended the call, leaned back, and took a sip of my wine.
One less problem.
