Ethan POV
I stood at the helm of the command center, watching as reports flooded in from all over the world. The virus was still rampant outside our borders, but within the Blackwood Union, order had been restored. The numbers were undeniable—millions dead globally, while our population thrived under the Blackwood Cure.
The latest report flashed on the holographic screen.
Global Death Toll: 715,000,000
Blackwood Union Mortality Rate: 0.02%
Non-Union Countries Mortality Rate: 67% and rising
Nations Officially Seeking Entry: 14
Current Entry Fee: $20 Billion Per Nation
Christiana stood at my side, her arms crossed as she studied the data. She had been ruthless in processing applicants, ensuring that only the most valuable nations were admitted.
"How many have paid so far?" I asked.
"Seven," Christiana replied, not looking up. "The rest are still begging for leniency."
I scoffed. "Leniency doesn't exist here."
Her lips curled into a smirk. "Exactly."
Chris POV
The throne room was silent as I scrolled through Ethan's latest report. Every move we made had been calculated, and now, the world was desperate.
Ethan spoke first. "Should we raise the entry fee again?"
Classic, standing nearby, hesitated. "Twenty billion is already more than most of these nations can afford. We might push them into full collapse."
I exhaled slowly, considering the balance. If they collapsed too soon, we wouldn't be able to strip them of their remaining assets before their governments disbanded entirely. But if we let them in too cheaply, they'd learn we could be bargained with.
Christiana, still reviewing her files, interjected, "They should earn their place. Let them show absolute submission before we lower any price."
I nodded in approval. "Then they must pledge more than just wealth. I want total disarmament from each applicant. All independent militaries will be absorbed into the Blackwood Union Forces (BUF). No exceptions."
Classic frowned but didn't protest. He understood that we were not just building an empire—we were cementing total control.
Ethan gave a small nod, already preparing to issue the order.
"Done."
And just like that, the world took another step into Blackwood's dominion.
