A Warlord?

Zoro stood up, feeling a little lightheaded. "Dammit Luffy watch where you land!" He saw where I was with a blade to the throat of the leading commander. He blinked for a moment when he spotted the mark on the coat. The mark of a Warlord. 

Luffy smiled standing up. "Sorry, Zoro. Now let's go help Kat." He also paused seeing the same mark on the jacket that Zoro saw. "That's not good. She is gonna need help indeed."

I had also noticed the mark that the boys had spotted. "So, you're the one leading these poor men to their deaths. You're not a Marine leader at all. You're a Pirate Warlord. Aren't you?"

The leading commander smirked. "You're smart, aren't you, young assassin? I must admit that you saw right through me."

"You're not a good liar. Trying to flatter me by calling me a demoness? There's only one man who can call me and get away with it. Now, if you are a warlord, then prove it, or are you just an underling?"

 The man rose to his feet and drew his blade. "If this man you love is nearby then he'll have to watch as I kill you and the child you carry." He looked in the direction of Zoro and shouted. "YOU HERE THAT ZORO! IF YOU ARE NOT A COWARD THEN FACE ME LIKE A REAL MAN OR WATCH AS THE WOMAN AND THE CHILD SHE CARRIES DIE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!"

As if on cue Zoro appeared right in front of him. "I'm the one who's a coward? I don't go around threatening pregnant women." Without looking at me. "Go Pretty Kitty. Get out of here. Luffy and I can take it from here. I'm not gonna let this asshole get away with what he's done. I will come back to you I promise."

I nodded. "I'll hold you to it." With Luffy's help, I was able to get back to the Going Merry before he bounced back over to help Zoro. Before he did I looked at him with tears in my eyes. "Luf, bring him back in one piece."

Luffy nodded. "That's my job as Capitan."

I fell to my knees in prayer. "God, hear me. Please bring him home safely."

Nami came over and hugged me. "Hey, it's gonna be ok. Zoro's too stubborn to lose a battle."

Usopp nodded. "Nami's right. He and Luffy will be back in no time."

A few hours later, Luffy and Zoro came back to the ship after defeating the Warlord underling. Zoro ran over to Nami. "Is she ok? Where is Pretty Kitty?"

Nami smiled. "She's in the bed resting but I'm sure she'll be happy to see you."
