The Dungeon Break

Aurora and Celeste rushed toward the source of the emergency.

The Hunters' Guild was already in action—teams were mobilizing, weapons drawn, and barriers were being deployed. The dungeon break had occurred near the city's outskirts, where a large Tier 3 Dungeon had just collapsed, spilling monsters into the streets.

"How bad is it?" Celeste asked, approaching a guild officer.

The man, barely keeping his composure, quickly reported, "A horde of mutated beasts. Most are low-tier, but reports indicate a leader-class monster among them!"

Aurora narrowed her eyes. A leader-class? Already?

The invasion hadn't even started, yet dungeons were already producing dangerous creatures.

This was a test—a warning of what was coming.

The Battlefield

When they arrived at the scene, the sight was pure chaos.

Monsters—twisted, grotesque creatures resembling oversized wolves with bone-plated armor—rampaged through the area. Their howls echoed as they tore through abandoned vehicles and attacked anyone in sight.

The awakened were already fighting back, using various abilities to hold the line.

"Focus on containment!" A commander shouted. "We can't let them spread into the city!"

Celeste cracked her knuckles. "Alright, let's clean this up."

She launched herself into the fray, moving like a blur. Every strike shattered bones, every movement precise and deadly.

Aurora, however, held back.

She had to be careful about how much power she revealed. If she fought too openly, it might raise more questions.

Instead, she focused on efficiency.

She stepped forward, and her void distortions flickered into existence.

The first wolf lunged at her.

With a flick of her wrist, space twisted—warping the creature's momentum.

It flew past her, completely missing its target, before crashing into the ground.

Another attacked from behind—

Aurora raised a hand, and a distortion appeared mid-air, catching the creature mid-leap.

For a brief second, it was frozen in space.

Then, she collapsed the distortion inward—crushing the beast instantly.

The surrounding hunters gawked.

"She just… stopped it midair?"

"Some kind of telekinesis?"

Aurora smirked. Let them wonder.

The Leader Appears

As the battle raged on, the temperature suddenly dropped.

A low, guttural growl echoed. The ground cracked with frost.

Aurora turned—and saw it.

A massive Frostfang Alpha, twice the size of the others, stepped forward. Its body was covered in jagged ice armor, its breath forming misty clouds in the air.

The leader-class monster.

Celeste grinned. "Now this is what I was waiting for."

She dashed forward, aiming a devastating punch at its head—

But the beast anticipated her move.

It stomped the ground, causing a shockwave of ice to burst outward.

Celeste barely dodged in time, flipping backward as frost crept up her boots, slowing her down.

Aurora narrowed her eyes. This one's different. It's not just strong—it's smart.

And then, it turned to her.

It senses danger.

Aurora held its gaze. "Oh? You're not just some mindless beast."

She raised her hand. A single void distortion shimmered beside her.

The Frostfang Alpha growled. It recognized her power.

Then, it charged.

A blur of motion—ice shards flying—

Aurora vanished.

In an instant, she reappeared above the beast.

Gravity Shift.

Space twisted, and for a brief moment, the monster's body felt weightless—

Then she slammed it into the ground.

The earth cracked beneath the impact.

Before it could recover, she raised her hand—

A distortion sphere formed, rapidly shrinking around the creature's limbs—trapping them in place.

Celeste saw the opportunity.

"Nice trick!" she shouted, before launching herself forward—her fist crackling with raw power.

She struck.

BOOM!

The Frostfang Alpha's skull caved inward. The monster let out a final, gurgling snarl before collapsing.

The battlefield fell silent.

Then—

[Dungeon Break Cleared.]

The remaining monsters began to dissolve into particles.

It was over.

Aftermath

As the guild secured the area, Celeste walked up to Aurora, wiping some sweat from her forehead.

"You're a damn mystery, you know that?"

Aurora raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"You fight like someone with way more experience than some random nobody."

Aurora just smirked. "Maybe I'm just talented."

Celeste chuckled. "Well, whatever. I like you."

Before Aurora could respond, her system pinged.

She looked at the screen.

"System… what are you planning?"
