Chapter 11 - He's Back

"I did a good job, right?" Alicia immediately asked.

Lucius spent a bit more time looking at Alex running away, his clothes dirty.

Lucius thought it was strange that there were multiple points of entry to this store, and he wondered if he would be able to visit worlds different from the one he was from once his shop became completely operational without his help.

"Yeah, you did very well," Lucius said as he mindlessly patted Alicia's head.

Alicia smiled and closed her eyes. To anyone else, she would look like a pet receiving some pats from her master. However, that was just how their relationship had evolved over time.

"Will I get a reward?" she suddenly asked with a pout, her eyes locking with Lucius's.

"Mhm, if you keep doing such a good job, then maybe."

Alicia nodded and suddenly became serious again as she stood right before the wooden door, patiently waiting for the next customer to enter.

Lucius also went behind the counter and patiently waited.

In the meantime, in the Underworld, Lilith was trying to make sense of the recipe she had just received.

"Why are some of those ingredients so rare?!" she said to herself. "Dragon Blood? Phoenix Ash? How am I supposed to find such rare ingredients in big quantities?!"

Lilith had no idea that the Multiverse General Store supplied all the ingredients to Lucius for free. However, those ingredients certainly justified the price and the effect of the said perfume.

'Tsk, I should contact some of my friends. They should have some,' Lilith thought. 'I'll tell them about the store at the same time.'

Lilith knew that her friends would be very intrigued by the new owner of the Multiverse General Store and would go right away. She just hoped that they wouldn't cause too much chaos in the store. After all, most of them were loud mouths who also had the strength to back it up.

She sat on her throne and called some of her subjects.

"Send this letter to Athena."

She grabbed another letter.

"This one to Diana."

She grabbed her last letter.

"And… this one you can try with Aphrodite. It might catch her attention."

The three demons received the letters, and their eyes widened.

"Y-You want us to deliver these letters? Are you sure you don't want to go in person? What if they refuse us?"

Lilith shook her head. "They'll listen. And if they don't, make sure to mention my name; everything should be fine by then."

The three demons nodded and immediately ran off. They had a lot of work to do.

Still, it would take maybe a day or two before they delivered the letters. It would have been faster if Lilith had gone, but she couldn't be bothered. Especially because, even now, her mind was stuck on something very precise.

It was Lucius's face.

Even now, she couldn't get her mind off it.

'Is it because of the perfume, or did I really fall for a human?' Lilith tried to think, but she couldn't be sure what the reason was.

Still, after a few minutes, she shook her head. The reason was not important. The only thing that mattered was the fact that Lucius was her type.

'Yeah, he's hot. There's no doubt about it.' She bit her lower lip. 'Ahh… and our next meeting is a month from now.'

She smirked. 'I'll have to make it memorable.'

While Lilith started spreading what Lucius was selling, they were patiently waiting for their next customers. However, there were none for more than two hours.

It was the first time they had to wait such a long time for a customer to enter. Still, Lucius didn't mind.

Most customers he had gotten just spelled trouble for him. It was a good thing that he had Alicia to help him. Otherwise, it would have been difficult to deal with Alex and his family.

Speaking of the devil, a bell sound echoed within the store.

"This is the place I was talking about. They're the ones who did this to me!"

It was a voice that was hard not to recognize. It was Alex.

He was already back only a few hours after getting kicked out. It was honestly impressive. Lucius thought that it would take at least a day or two to convince his family that what happened was actually true.

However, when Alex walked into the store, Alicia, who was right by the door, placed her arm before him.

"You have been banished from this establishment. You can no longer step foot inside it."

Her tone was icy and didn't leave room for negotiation.

"What about me?" another voice echoed. "Can I enter?"

Alicia frowned slightly as she saw a man next to him.

The man was much taller and looked a lot more mature. However, he also didn't look like a bodyguard.

"Tsk, brother. Defend me! Why are you trying to enter without me?!"

'Oh, he called his brother…' Lucius shook his head. He thought it was strange that he was back so quickly.

"Alex, close your mouth and stay outside the shop. I'll talk with the owner."

His brother seemed to be a lot more reasonable from what he said. More importantly, he didn't look like an obnoxious kid.

Lucius didn't waste any time and walked to the entrance of the store.

"Welcome. What can we help you with?"

Alex's brother smiled at Lucius and said, "I was wondering if you could let me know what happened for my brother to be kicked out from here. As you know, we have a lot of money, and if he caused any problems, we can reimburse any damage."

Lucius also started laughing; however, he kept a neutral tone.

"Ah, it wasn't about that. He disrespected both me and my employee. We had no choice but to kick him out. He even tried to buy my employee right here."

His brother's eyebrows didn't even raise in surprise. It seemed that this was quite the usual situation.

"Mhm… I see. Then it makes sense."

His brother didn't comment much on it as he looked behind toward the shelves that were mainly empty. He could only see some vials with liquids inside them.

"What are you selling here anyway?"
