The four of them stood waiting for the creature to emerge.
" Hey Gregor, No matter what don't let it touch you with its hands. It'll erase you ", said the blood count Jai Leven. His injury to his leg or more accurately the absence of his leg was a clear proof of his warning.
BOOM!
The bar was destroyed by a massive yellow energy blast. The yellow beam shut up to space and in it was the Abyss. Its hands opened clearly inviting them to attack. It floats off the debris and into the sky like the god it believes itself to be.
The first to take Its invitation was Eleanor.
The youngest hero who's barbaric sword and weapon style made her feared and admired by the world.
(Also she was pretty)
She extended her hand to Valis.
He knew what she wanted, he conjured a massive blood spear and threw it towards her.
She grabbed and gripped it so hard that drops of blood fell from her hand.
" Arghhhhhhh ", a woman's warrior cry.
She threw the spear so fast none of the other sentinels could see it.
But the Abyss?
It could see it.
It extended its hands and the spear seemingly disappeared into its palms on contact.
Eleanor and Jai were struck with fear of what came next.
It was attacking.
It's child sized fist glowing in a golden hue like a second sun. Eleanor knew she was the target.
She reacted using her shield to separate her from the Abyss.
But when she blinked it was already there.
It connected.
A punch so heavy that it sent her flying many miles away turning her shield to pieces of metal and breaking her arm.
She went through many buildings and lost consciousness instantly.
The Abyss turned its attention to the metal user, Gregor Vale.
It charged at him in its stoic plain white expression, extending its open palm to his face. He stopped the attack with a metal spear, using it to stab at the hand.
Futile it was indeed.
The metal went through its hand turning into the nothing the closer he brought his palm, eating at archaic energy itself.
It was not like Jais blood which used actual blood. It was just his Archaic dominion manifested arcane in a red liquid form.
Just like how Gregory's metal weapons weren't made from actual metals but created by Gregory himself
They were pure both archaic energy.
It could erase pure Arcane. It could erase life itself.
It increased its hand speed quickly eating through the spear before grabbing Gregory by the forearm.
Erasing his arm completely.
Gregory screamed in pain.
Then it dragged him closer and with a swift fist turned him into a donut.
The sound o is small fist coming through the other side of his body was silent. Silent and fatal.
The Funeral Man was scared. Jun Seo had no way of helping. Since the pillar hit he had been blasting it with his despair inducement and it had absolutely no effect.
This thing was a god. A symbol of what he projected on people. This was despair itself.
Jai Laven tried to save Gregor by charging, blood sword in hand and swinging at the neck of the creature.
The Abyss head jerked backwards violently and grabbed the sword with its teeth.
Before Jai could escape it pulled at the sword bringing him closer. Then it opened its mouth wide enough to eat his entire upper body.
" Noooo ".
He saw the inside of the creature and screamed as its teeth sank into him. It had teeth everywhere rowed on eachother like a spiral art work.
Then he saw a light. The same yellow blast that took out the pilots. He was almost killed as he took the blast while he was still in the mouth of the Abyss.
He was body was burnt and spat out a few steps from deaths door.
Gregory used that chance to escape the Abyss grip but had a fist sized hole in his stomach.
It was getting bigger and bigger erasing him from the inside out.
He held on to his stomach with his left hand.
He knew he wouldn't survive so he released all his archaic energy till the last drop.
" Metal Rain ".
The attack took such a tool on Gregor that he bled from his nose and eyes.
Whatever. He who is prepared for death has no concerns with pain. For pain only exists when you have something to live for
Large pillars like the ones from earlier came falling from the sky each larger than many manmade structures.
The Abyss looked up at them and then down at Gregory. He was already dead.
Whatever life he had left was because he used his Archaic energy to reduce the effects of the injury. Now he had none left using the last for this final attack and so his life left him.
Gregory was dead.
The beams came down from the dark clouds.
Each creating a hole. The scene was surreal as if divine judgement had come for the Abyss Fiend.
It flew to the ground and landed hard on Jais head crushing it like a tomato.
The blood count, Jai laven was dead.
It clenched its fist, widened its stance and sunk its feet deep into the ground itself. It's eyes staring at the hundreds of meteoric metal beams falling towards him
It's left fist held down charging in golden Arcane.
(This was the first time it gave a full on attack)
A serious attack.
A punch that blew away everything, the clouds, the metal beams. The punch went far enough that it grazed the moon.
The force of the attack broke Utrecht like a plate falling to the ground but this time the broken pieces were actual tectonic plates. Parts of it sunk to the water clogged earth while the parts closer to the attack had been completely flooded with water.
The force of the attack ( which was just the abyss punching the air ) blew away the metal beams and destroyed Utrecht itself.
The dome no longer stood on land. It's full spherical shape now floating through the sky. It had been infused with enough power to withstand severe levels of destruction.
Jun Seo was flying away. He wouldn't want to be caught in the cross hairs of the attack.
When he turned he couldn't help but cry.
" This is power beyond anything man can hope to achieve ".
He took in a deep breath. His hands were numb with fear. His voice was trembling with fear.
He called out to his wife using psychic communication.
" Mei, I love you ".
He didn't want to hear her voice. Cause then he knew he wouldn't be ready to die. Even if this attack would result in his death.
Even if he couldn't kill this false god, if he could weaken it just enough for Captain Ghazul then it was worth it.
He closed his eyes and dove at a high speed. Faster than he had ever moved before.
The wind was cut in half, the speed made a howling sound that made the people in the dome tremble.
The civilians in the dome didn't know what they were hearing. What type of battle could cause these sounds. Yet they all knew deep down that their city was gone. It along with whatever land and sea surrounded it.
Jun Seo took in a deep breathe with tears flowing from his eyes, he dove fast tackling the Fiend in the torso.
It didn't budge but he didn't expect it to.
The last sound that was made was Jun Seo releasing all his life archaic energy, all of his despair directly into the creature.
A blast of pure black archaic energy envelopes them.
With a final war cry he successfully dispelled his entire life force in one attack.
Jun Seo was dead and yet he was the first to actually harm the creature. The blast didn't look to harm its body, but it's mine.
Instead of sending it into despair it was sent to disary.
Being exposed to so much potent human archaic energy.
It howled and gruffed in agony.
The sound confirmed it for the people in the dome. That was the creature that threatened their lives.
" You'd think with all those heroes that thing would be dead by now ", murmured one man in fear.
The people all knew one thing. They knew the sounds of the heroes attacking and they knew the sounds of Abyss attacking.
Each time the Abyss attacked, it was louder like a void asif erasure itself could wail. And when they heard that sound, the battle became more quiet because a life had probably been taken.
The Fiend fell to the water. But it wasn't dead.
Ghazul took off his black coat.
" Brave heroes had just lost their lives today ".
The Fiend rose from the water still grabbing it's head. No longer in the form of a boy but In the form of a very tall man. A naked man who if Ghazul had to guess was around 10 metres. First came the abnormally long hand that came from its spine.
Swallowing it's current arm. It's body trying to come to its real form.
His eyes were no longer white but a consuming black. It's yellow hair was now so long it folded on the floor behind it.
His muscles were large and wide. A hulking figure and his reproductive organs in full view ( All Fiends can reproduce but very few of them endeavour to )---Thankfully.
The Fiend bent down one knee, trying to place itself, trying to stand triumphant, trying to find the dome.
It vomited out blood ( Fiend blood is red. Just brighter ). That attack damaged more than it should have.
It had its pride to blame.
The Fiend clearly shaken stood up and turned to the floating dome.
It raised its hands up to the sky still groggy and began to tip toe moving slowly towards the dome. It had continued it's ritualistic dance, swaying in monstrous ecstasy at the lives it had just taken.
' Does it really believe that the battle had ended '.
The Abyss saw a man with long dark hair and red eyes across it. His smile curved inhumanely and his dimples went almost all through the cheeks of his face.
It stopped dancing and started muttering in Fiendish Tongues. It's tone aggressive yet composed. Hostile yet calm.
It had acknowledged a worthy opponent.
The man was Ghazul
They stared at each other for a while.
" What's the matter. Don't feel like dancing anymore?", he said in the smile of a mad man
It didn't react but only kept muttering tongues he didn't understand.
" Oh well "
Ghazul took his fighting stance. He was one of the best close combat fighters in the world.
His legs where in a wide arched stance. His fists closed and lowered to the level of his waist, directed towards the enemy.
He leaned in deeper to his stance.
" Let's have the death dance together ".
