Dudley was pressing his eyes against the astronomical telescope, observing the stars. Unexpectedly, his sharp hearing suddenly informed him that a living being was approaching.
Before the astronomy class, to enhance his eyesight and stay vigilant for any sudden situations, he had cast the Super Senses Incantation on himself and Harry.
This was an incantation that could simultaneously enhance the five senses for a short period, and it was very effective.
Right now, the Super Senses Incantation paid off!
Before anyone else in the class, Dudley noticed Mrs. Norris quietly pushing open the classroom door and tiptoeing towards him.
He immediately waved at Mrs. Norris, signaling it to back out of the door first.
Then, he nudged Harry, who had also noticed something amiss, and stood up straight away. He said to Professor Aurora Sinistra, who was teaching the astronomy class:
"Professor Sinistra, I just remembered that Principal Dumbledore wants to talk to Harry and me tonight. Sorry about that."
Although Dudley said he was sorry, there was not a shred of apology on his face.
Fortunately, Professor Aurora Sinistra was only focused on the mysteries of the stars and didn't really care whether Dudley was being sincere or not. Without much thought, she simply agreed:
"Since it's Professor Dumbledore's wish, you may go! It's a pity that the main star of Aquarius shows signs of dimming tonight, and you won't be able to observe it."
Dudley didn't take Professor Sinistra's words to heart. He just nodded slightly and then led Harry out of the classroom.
Once outside the classroom, Dudley walked up to Mrs. Norris, which was sitting waiting beside the door, and took the note from its mouth.
When he opened it, he saw a clear account of Eris sneaking out of the castle invisibly late at night.
"She hid so well, but she showed her true colors so soon. Is it an accidental coincidence of an innocent person? Is it a real spy setting up a false trail? Or is it that Voldemort is so greedy that he's forcing his newly - recruited and cautious subordinate to take desperate measures?"
A multitude of thoughts welled up in Dudley's mind. He conjured a flame in his hand and burned the note delivered by Filch to ashes.
"Cousin, what's going on?"
Harry, standing beside him, couldn't help asking when he saw Dudley's silence.
"Maybe the source of your nightmares has shown itself. Let's go, Harry!"
As Dudley answered, he made a plan for what was to come. He decided to go straight for the jugular!
Dudley and Harry had only walked a short distance when they bumped into Filch, who was running towards them out of breath.
This guy was extremely eager to please. Fearing that the note wasn't clear enough and thinking that Dudley might give him other orders, he had followed Mrs. Norris and rushed to the Astronomy Tower.
When Dudley saw Filch coming, he didn't hold back and directly gave an order:
"Go! Find Dumbledore as fast as you can and tell him what you've discovered. Then tell him about Hagrid, The Forbidden Forest, and the unicorn!"
"Yes! Teaching Assistant Dursley!"
Filch immediately responded and, disregarding his tired body, picked up Mrs. Norris, which had run over, and headed straight for the headmaster's office on the eighth floor of the castle.
After Dudley and Harry walked down the Astronomy Tower, Dudley assigned a task to his cousin:
"Harry, Hogwarts tells me that Peeves is wandering around on the fourth floor of the castle right now. Go find Peeves and tell him to come to Eris's office to meet me!"
After delivering the message, you go back to the tower to continue your astronomy class!"
"Yes! Cousin!"
Hearing his cousin's order, Harry didn't ask any questions but acted immediately. He believed his cousin would explain the situation to him later.
Dudley didn't stop walking. His legs glowed red, infused with great strength. It seemed like he was striding quickly, but in fact, he was running at full speed. Soon, guided by the general consciousness of Hogwarts, he arrived at Professor Eris's office door.
This door was enchanted with an anti - unlocking spell by Eris. Ordinary wizards couldn't open it at all.
However, as soon as Dudley showed his intention to enter the office, the door was directly opened by the general consciousness of Hogwarts without Dudley having to do anything.
After entering the office, Dudley looked around. He found that Professor Eris was a meticulous person, with all kinds of items placed in an orderly and harmonious way.
But at this moment, the person these items were facing, Dudley, was far from being meticulous!
"Bang! Clang! Crash! Rattle! Smack..."
Using both hands and wand, Dudley rummaged through Professor Eris's office very roughly. He carefully inspected every item and every container, and just casually threw away the things that showed no signs of problems.
Fifteen minutes later, Professor Eris's office was in a complete mess. All kinds of personal belongings were scattered everywhere and smashed to pieces.
The scene was even more disastrous than being plundered by outlaws.
Even Peeves, who came halfway, couldn't help but exclaim that Dudley's destructive power was even one level higher in social hierarchy than his own.
After a thorough and satisfying search, Professor Eris's delicate suitcase naturally didn't escape Dudley's notice.
"Show your secrets! Reveal Quickly!"
Dudley pointed his finger at the constellation pattern engraved on the suitcase. He vaguely sensed that there was residual magic power in this area.
The next moment, a burst of silver - white starlight erupted from the suitcase, directly nullifying the Scarpin's Revealing Spell that Dudley had cast.
"It seems that the general revealing spell can't uncover the secrets hidden in this suitcase."
Dudley understood the current situation. It seemed that he still had to rely on the old man.
He directly drew a circle in the air. In Peeves' terrified eyes, he threw Professor Eris's suitcase into his Personal Space.
He was now about fifty or sixty percent sure that there were Eris's shady memories stored in the hidden compartment of this suitcase.
If he was wrong and wronged an innocent person, then he had no choice but to:
"Peeves!"
Dudley stood up and shouted.
"Teaching Assistant Dursley, I'm here!"
Seeing the terrifying black circle disappear, Peeves quickly flew in front of Dudley attentively, waiting for instructions.
"Stay right here and wait. If I and Dumbledore come back here before dawn, then it's none of your business.
But if it's Professor Eris who comes back here first, then I'll have to trouble you to take the blame.
Be as arrogant as possible. Tell the professor that you don't like her, so you ransacked her office. If she presses you about the whereabouts of the suitcase, you can say that you burned it, tore it up, or threw it into the Black Lake...
I don't need to give you more pointers on these crazy pranks, do I?
Dudley incredibly calmly used Peeves to arrange a fail - safe plan.
Peeves was taken aback. He had always been the one to frame and play pranks on others. Now... it seemed he was still going to frame and play pranks on others, but why did it feel so odd?
However, this odd feeling wasn't enough to make him disobey the great and terrifying Teaching Assistant Dursley.
"I got it, Teaching Assistant Dursley! I won't let you down!"
As Peeves said this, he bowed to Dudley.
Dudley nodded in satisfaction. Then he took his walking stick and quickly left Eris's office, heading straight for the castle gate on the first floor.
