Darkness.
There was no pain. No weight. No sensation at all.
Yet, Jihwan's mind was awake. Conscious.
Death. He was certain that's what had happened.
His body had been torn apart. His bones shattered. His screams swallowed by the suffocating mist of the dungeon.
Yet—
Something was pulling him back.
Before he could grasp what was happening, his senses rushed back all at once.
A deep inhale—air flooded his lungs.
A sharp, stinging pain—his body trembled with sudden awareness.
And then—
The dungeon.
---
Bloodmist Dungeon.
Jihwan gasped, his eyes snapping open. His chest rose and fell with ragged breaths as his hands pressed against the cold, damp stone beneath him.
The thick scent of iron. The eerie crimson mist rolling through the air. The distant echoes of dripping water.
It was the exact same place.
He turned his head.
And froze.
Lee Hyunwoo. Standing tall, leading the group with his A-rank presence. His sword rested casually against his shoulder.
Kim Jisoo. Fixing the grip on her staff, her lips slightly curved in an amused smile as she spoke to another hunter.
Two others, talking casually, looking alive.
But they were supposed to be dead.
Jihwan's heart pounded violently against his ribs.
No. He was supposed to be dead.
But here he was. Back in the same dungeon. Back at the moment before their deaths.
His fingers curled into the stone beneath him. His body trembled—not from fear, but from something deeper.
The system messages. His death.
And now this.
A single realization crashed down on him like an avalanche.
This isn't a second chance.
This is a curse.

Jihwan exhaled, his hands tightening into fists.
He had always been weak. Disposable. He had accepted that.
But this time, he wouldn't die for them again.
They had left him behind.
This time—
He would watch them die instead.
