The Light Eater
Darkness pressed in from all sides.
Jihwan stood in the vast chamber, his eyes locked onto the monstrous figure ahead. The Light Eater—a grotesque being with a shifting, amorphous form—loomed over him. Its translucent body pulsed with an eerie glow, its mouth twisting into a distorted grin.
[Stage 2: Boss - Light Eater]
HP: 1000/1000
Abilities: Devour Light, Tendril Restraint, Blinding Flash
Jihwan clenched his dagger. He was still wounded from his previous fights, and now, he faced a creature nearly ten times his size.
(I have to fight this thing?)
The system window flickered in front of him.
[Current HP: 100/100]
[Current Stamina: 80/100]
The Light Eater shifted, tendrils sprouting from its mass. The moment it sensed his presence, dozens of shadowy limbs lashed out toward him!
Jihwan barely had time to react. He rolled to the side, avoiding the first wave of strikes, but a second tendril whipped toward him, slamming into his shoulder.
[HP: 85/100]
The force sent him staggering backward. His grip on his dagger tightened as he took a deep breath.
(I can't afford to take too many hits. If I let this thing grab me, I'm done for.)
The Light Eater let out a hollow screech, its form rippling as it launched another attack. Jihwan activated Shadow Walk, his body sinking into the darkness beneath him.
In an instant, he vanished.
The tendrils slashed through empty air.
The Light Eater twitched, confused by his sudden disappearance. Taking advantage of the moment, Jihwan reappeared behind it, dagger poised to strike.
Silent Throw!
With a sharp flick of his wrist, his cursed dagger flew through the air, slicing into the creature's back.
[Critical Hit! -100 HP]
The Light Eater shuddered violently. But instead of retreating, it turned toward Jihwan with a chilling, distorted laugh.
Its body pulsed—then a blinding white light exploded from its core.
Jihwan's eyes burned. (Damn it—!)
[Blinding Flash Activated – Vision Impaired for 10 Seconds]
His world turned white. He couldn't see.
Then, something cold wrapped around his leg.
Before he could react, a powerful force yanked him into the air.
He gasped as the tendrils tightened around his body, constricting his movements.
[HP: 70/100]
His breathing turned ragged. If he didn't escape now—he was dead.
(Think. There has to be a way—!)
Even blinded, he could feel the creature's presence. He focused his senses, relying on his cursed perception.
And then—he struck.
Death's Touch!
His dagger pulsed with dark energy, sinking into the tendril wrapped around his torso.
[Darkness Corruption Inflicted – Light Eater's HP -150]
The creature let out a shriek, its hold loosening for just a moment. Jihwan didn't hesitate. He wrenched himself free, flipping mid-air, and drove his dagger straight into the beast's core.
A surge of energy erupted.
[Critical Hit! -200 HP]
The Light Eater thrashed violently. It wasn't dead yet, but Jihwan could tell—it was weakening.
(Just a little more—!)
He took a deep breath, preparing for his final strike. The battle wasn't over. Not yet.
End of Chapter.
