Defensive

It was a bold risk to not include real pitfalls, any bear traps, or a single spiked ball capable of impaling someone. Numerous traps were available but the only ones affordable for me in bulk were lethal cheap ones, that I refused to add.

Non lethal traps were more original in design, and required more points to add. Capturing without harming was costly, or outright too expensive for me.

"You should shrink the dungeon by half and add a single non-lethal very strong trap. That way if you suddenly get invaded by a stronger female, she can be captured instead of merely leaving."

"But that makes the dungeon less than 100 meters long in total length?"

"Relax, you can just expand it later. Also let's look at your choice of weapons for your little guys.."

Originally I was going to send them out bare handed worried they might seriously hurt someone with a cheap sword, or dagger. After much convincing she made me select the rubber stick, and throwable rubber balls. Made to impair or weaken, not really to kill or maim in any sort of serious way.

You could throw the rubber ball I selected at someone at full speed and its lightweight air structure wouldn't break bone. A large bruise was the worst it could give on impact, keeping it nice and safe for everyone here.

Just because my dungeon was safe for my goblins didn't mean it was fully safe for the adventures coming in, I had to deliberately ensure nothing could hurt them. There were big flaws, for instance all they needed to do is take something dangerous with them.

"Could we force them to strip naked on entry?"

"...Think rationally, what normal person would ever accept those conditions."

"That's true."

The most I could do was ensure these dangers came self inflicted, and not something my dungeon did to them intentionally. The purpose of my place is one of fun and sex, with light hearted combat that had no penalty to losing.

"Hmmm, rubber weapons with foam edges are a first. I think you might be the only dungeon owner to care so much about the people entering."

"Thank you, I don't want anyone getting hurt. I just want them to have fun playing together."

On the inside I was still a civilized person, and my dungeon was a civilized place for women to visit. Why some other invaders got used to killing people in their dungeon I didn't want to know, to me peace was more important than war. If it meant I was low a few points that was better than hearing I had someone die in my dungeon.

'If they have to fight with my little goblins I hope they don't use real weapons either, no way to show we mean peace but to use soft weapons.'

"How do I control my goblins, are they just going to do whatever when someone enters?"

"Oh, right I forgot to teach you how to control them…There is actually a free skill I should have given you that would let you order around monsters, I hope you don't mind I kinda forgot to give you this."

"I don't think it would have changed my life having it or not, I would still let them do as they pleased."

Opening the menu, the free skill instantly went into my brain. A whole new connection to my goblins formed inside of my mind. I couldn't exactly feel them, but it was more like a presence inside of my own mind.

"You can communicate your intentions to your monsters doing this, even if they leave the dungeon somewhere far away you can still communicate somewhat."

"Can they communicate back to me?"

"Not these basic goblins, they are too weak spiritually to do that stuff. The more advanced types can actually order goblins around with this same power and communicate at short distances."

'Some kind of mental radio?'

It was more like a remote controller than I first realized, I could give them a goal and they would try their best to do it. I didn't mean complete obedience though, more of a strong suggestion instead.

"It is trust based, they know the source and they will only do as much as they trust from it. The more they believe in you, the more likely they are to do things for you."

"Okay…"

'Could be risky using this at long range and get the goblin into danger without realizing it.'

If I ordered them to do simple things it was fine, even things in my dungeon were too. However outside the dungeon was a whole other world, one with countless unknown dangers. If I was to simply order them to walk across a street, they could get run over by a car without me knowing.

'I will let the more advanced ones take care of the outside when they reach that stage, I won't interfere with them if they leave.'

The discussion quickly went to the selection of the best trap to capture someone extremely overpowered. I could only imagine someone using a rifle, or some kind of explosive, something from the modern world. She was worried about something else completely, it was nothing like that at all.

"There will be some women capable of destroying the dungeon and killing you as well later on, some with crazy strong muscles or even mystical powers. So you might want to avoid their attention, or have a solution for them."

"Superhero level powers?"

"In some cases it can even surpass that, but yes assume the worst will eventually exist."

In her words there would be women strong enough to pick up a several ton tank with one arm one day soon in the future. Some capable of blowing up buildings with mere magic, and some able to soar into outer space.

'The catch is, in the future. Thankfully not today.'

The points people earned from dungeons would go to their bodies or enhance themselves in some way. The ways they could enhance themself was unknown to her, but the defending side had its own selection of secret toys to deal with us invaders.

"How in the world do I avoid confronting them?"

"I don't know, figure out how. You should know people on earth better than I do, think of a reason why they wouldn't want to kill you."

"A reason why they wouldn't want to kill me..?"

She refused to show me any magic examples saying she couldn't find any, taking her word for it I didn't know how to plan for it either. My idea was to simply catch the person off guard when they were in my dungeon, hoping that would solve the magic issue. The true problem lies elsewhere.

"The reason people outside eagerly killed your fellow invaders since day one is to simply get all their points, somehow the people outside figured this out quickly. Your human internet probably caused it."

"Did they succeed?"

"Unfortunately yes, but you should be fine. Those people that seemed to gain super powers are living it up right now in human society as superheroes at high end locations. I can quite literally see where they are on social media all day long."

"Can I go on social media?"

"Nah, figure stuff out instead."

Society outside this place was definitely changing, even if she only let me have hints of information. It was enough to worry me, a whole new group of celebrities who proudly murdered an innocent person. Their powers overshadowing the deed they did, or dehumanizing the person they did it to.

'Has the outside world gone mad? Or has it always been this way.'

A new world, a world so different to the one of the past I had no idea what it might be like. On the surface things were changing just like I was changing down below in this underground world. My greatest fear of all was simply not recognizing anything about the world above when I finally opened up to it one day.

'It might have been easier to just go to another world, staying on earth right now seems like chaos everywhere…'
