Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Spear King

Evening Sky and the Dusty Ground

The evening sky was painted in golden orange hues, casting its light upon the dusty ground of a small village on the outskirts of Orario.

The sound of footsteps echoed through the quiet air. Five muscular old men, their bodies still sturdy despite their age, surrounded a fifteen-year-old boy. They wielded wooden weapons, their gazes sharp. Yet instead of fear, what they saw on the boy's face was a confident smile.

"You brat, do you think you can defeat us just because you've been training for a few years?" one of the old men growled.

The boy, Reinhardt Vale, didn't answer. He simply shifted his stance slightly, adjusting his position. His sharp purple eyes calmly observed the five men before him.

Without warning, one of them lunged forward, swinging his wooden staff toward Reinhardt's head.

But Reinhardt merely ducked, effortlessly avoiding the attack. At the same time, his own wooden staff moved, striking the man's knee with force.

"Ugh!" The man dropped to one knee, his hands trembling from the pain.

Before the others could react, Reinhardt spun around, sweeping the legs of the man beside him. The second man crashed to the ground, only for Reinhardt to press his staff against his chest, preventing him from getting up.

"Two down," Reinhardt murmured, his eyes gleaming.

The two remaining men exchanged glances. They had experienced countless battles in their lifetime, but this boy… he wasn't normal.

They attacked simultaneously.

Reinhardt grinned, leaping back to dodge the first strike. However, the second attack came from the side, aiming straight for his head. With incredible reflexes, he parried it, twisted his body, and drove his elbow into one of the old men's stomachs.

"Gah…!" The old man staggered back, losing his balance.

Reinhardt crouched low before launching forward with a powerful kick, striking the last opponent square in the chest. The man was sent flying backward, landing on the ground with a heavy thud.

Silence.

Reinhardt stood tall, resting his wooden staff on his shoulder. The five old men lay groaning in pain.

"Had enough?" Reinhardt asked in a relaxed tone.

One of the old men chuckled. "Hah… You little monster… You've been a little devil since you were a kid…"

Reinhardt simply smirked. "You're the ones who told me to train harder, aren't you?"

They all laughed.

Fifteen Years in This World

Reinhardt had lived in this world for fifteen years. He was born in a small village outside Orario. His parents died in a monster attack when he was seven, leaving him orphaned.

Fortunately, the villagers were kind enough to take care of him. He grew up under the guidance of various villagers, including the five retired adventurers he had just defeated. They were the ones who taught him how to fight.

But for Reinhardt, this was not enough.

Because he did not belong to this world.

Memories of Another Life

Reinhardt knew he wasn't an ordinary child. Since the moment he became conscious as a baby, he realized something strange—he possessed memories of a previous life.

He remembered that he was once a young man from another world, an otaku who loved watching anime and reading manga.

And more than anything… he recognized this world.

A city with a towering structure at its center. Adventurers hunting monsters in dungeons. Gods living among humans.

This was the world of DanMachi.

When he first realized it, Reinhardt couldn't believe it. But as he grew older, the evidence became undeniable.

Adventurers.

Dungeons.

Familia.

Status and Levels.

This was the world he once knew from an anime in his past life.

"So, I've been reincarnated into this world…"

From that moment, Reinhardt made a decision—he would become strong.

If this world was anything like he remembered, dangers lurked everywhere. Monsters that grew stronger in the dungeon, cunning adventurers, and conflicts between Familias.

He refused to live as an ordinary person.

He wanted to stand at the top.

At the age of seven, Reinhardt began his training under the retired adventurers in his village. He learned the fundamentals of combat, battle strategies, and most importantly—how to wield a spear.

He discovered that he had a natural talent for it. Every movement felt instinctive, as if the spear was an extension of his body.

But that wasn't all.

As he pushed himself harder in training, he began to sense something within him—an overwhelming aura.

When he faced an opponent, this aura radiated outward, making others feel intimidated.

"This… is it an aura of a king?"

Years of training allowed him to understand that he had a special ability, though he didn't know exactly what it was.

If he wanted to find out, he would have to join a Familia.

Even without a clear answer, he could make an educated guess.

He named it King's Aura.

— King's Aura —

• Remain calm in any situation.

• Emit an intimidating presence.

Alongside this, he also identified another ability—Spear Mastery.

— Spear Mastery —

• Exceptional talent in spear combat.

• Rapidly master various spear techniques.

With these two abilities, Reinhardt became a formidable warrior.

However, despite surpassing the men who trained him, he knew this was just the beginning.

If he truly wanted to reach the pinnacle of this world… then Orario was his next destination.

Journey to Orario

That day, after his sparring session, Reinhardt stood atop a small hill overlooking the western horizon. In the distance, he could faintly see Babel Tower, the massive structure at the heart of Orario.

His eyes burned with ambition.

"It's time to begin my adventure."

With determination blazing in his chest, Reinhardt Vale prepared to leave the small village where he had grown up and head toward the city of adventurers…

Orario.

That was where his true journey would begin.
