Chapter 1: The End of the Ordinary

In a remote corner of the universe, the planet Tar is like an abandoned grain of sand, spinning lonely in the vast starry sky. The planet has a harsh climate and scarce resources. Violent winds howl across the land all year round, kicking up clouds of dust that enshroud the entire planet in a hazy yellow. For most interstellar travelers, the planet Tar is merely an insignificant dot on the star map, a desolate place they strive to avoid.

However, for Kyle, the planet Tar is his entire world. He has been an orphan since childhood and has tenaciously survived on this cold planet. The scrapyard, a place filled with discarded metals and broken parts, is where he works every day.

In the early morning, before the gray sky has fully dawned, Kyle gets up from his small and shabby dwelling. This so - called dwelling is nothing more than a small shack pieced together from discarded metal plates, barely able to keep out the wind and rain. He puts on his tattered and patched - up work clothes, casually brushes his slightly messy brown hair back, and then heads towards the scrapyard against the howling wind.

In the scrapyard, the boss, Grum, is sitting behind his cluttered desk, with a cheap cigar that gives off a pungent smell in his mouth. In the wind around of smoke, his wrinkled face looks even gloomier. When he sees Kyle come in, Grum just grunts impatiently and then continues to fiddle with the broken instrument in his hand.

Kyle is already used to Grum's attitude. He silently walks to the scrap - storage area and starts his day's work. His hands move skillfully through the jumbled scrap, sorting out the parts that still have some value. Every movement is smooth and natural, as if it has been rehearsed countless times.

Time passes quietly. Before he knows it, it's almost noon. Kyle straightens up, rubs his sore back, and prepares to take a short break. Just then, his eyes are attracted by something in the corner. It is a crystal emitting a faint glow, standing out among the pile of dull scrap.

Kyle walks over curiously, squats down, and carefully observes the crystal. It is about the size of a fist, with a strange pattern on its surface, and its light flickers rhythmically like breathing. Kyle can't help but reach out and gently touch the crystal.

In an instant, a powerful force surges out from the crystal, submerging Kyle like a surging tide. His body trembles uncontrollably, and a series of dazzling pictures flash through his mind: In the vast universe, countless stars shine brightly, and stardust drifts between the stars like a dream; ancient and mysterious interstellar ruins loom, exuding an awe - inspiring atmosphere; a deep and mysterious voice keeps echoing in the depths of his consciousness: "Child of the stardust, awaken..."

Kyle is terrified and tries to pull his hand back, but the crystal seems to come alive, tightly sucking his palm. The scrap in the scrapyard begins to move. The discarded metal parts and broken machines all tremble, and then, as if being pulled by an invisible force, they slowly move towards the crystal in Kyle's hand.

"What's going on?" Fear and confusion fill Kyle's heart. He tries to break free from the crystal's bondage, but he finds that his strength is so insignificant in the face of this mysterious force.

As more and more scrap approaches, the entire scrapyard is thrown into chaos. The sounds of metal collisions come one after another, and various parts rub and collide with each other, making ear - piercing noises. Grum suddenly stands up from behind the desk, and the cigar in his hand falls to the ground. He stares wide - eyed in horror at what is happening in front of him.

"Kyle, what have you done?" Grum roars loudly, his voice full of anger and fear.

Kyle opens his mouth, trying to explain, but he finds his throat is dry and he can't say a word. At this time, his mind is still filled with those strange pictures and the mysterious voice, and he has no time to care about Grum's question.

The chaos in the scrapyard continues. All kinds of scrap fly in the air, colliding with each other and forming a huge whirlpool. Kyle is trapped in the center of the whirlpool. His body sways violently with the rotation of the scrap, as if it could be torn to pieces at any moment.

In the midst of this extreme chaos and fear, Kyle suddenly feels a warm current flowing into his body from the crystal, gradually spreading throughout his body. This warm current makes his body stop trembling, and the fear dissipates instantly. His consciousness becomes extremely clear, as if he has established a wonderful connection with everything around him.

Kyle takes a deep breath, concentrates, and tries to control this mysterious force. He closes his eyes, feels the movement tracks of the surrounding scrap with his heart, and then, by instinct, gently waves his arm.

A miracle happens. The originally wildly rotating scrap whirlpool suddenly stops, and all the scrap suspends in the air, as if frozen in time. Kyle slowly opens his eyes, looking at this incredible scene in front of him, filled with shock and joy.

"I did it..." Kyle murmurs to himself, his voice tinged with disbelief.

However, before he has time to savor this joy, a deep rumble suddenly comes from the sky. Kyle looks up and sees a huge Interstellar Federation spaceship slowly descending outside the scrapyard. The surface of the spaceship glitters with a metallic luster, standing out against the gray sky.

The hatch of the spaceship slowly opens, and several agents in black uniforms quickly come out. Leading them is a tall and cold - faced man. There is a chilling coldness in his eyes. This man is Rain, an agent of the Interstellar Federation.

Rain's gaze sweeps around the scrapyard and finally lands on Kyle. The corners of his mouth turn up slightly, revealing a faint sneer.

"That's him. Take him away!" Rain says coldly, his voice as cold as ice.

Kyle is shocked. He realizes that he is about to face great danger. He looks at the still - glowing crystal in his hand, then at the approaching Interstellar Federation agents, and a strong desire to survive wells up in his heart.

Just as the agents are about to reach him, Kyle suddenly waves his arm again, controlling the suspended scrap to fly towards the agents. The scrap flies towards the agents like cannonballs, with great force. The agents are clearly caught off - guard by Kyle's sudden counterattack. They scurry around, dodging the flying scrap, and the scene is in chaos.

Seeing this, a flash of annoyance crosses Rain's eyes. He quickly pulls out the energy weapon from his waist, aims at Kyle, and pulls the trigger without hesitation. A blue energy beam shoots towards Kyle in an instant. Kyle quickly dodges to the side. The beam grazes the corner of his clothes and hits a pile of scrap behind him, triggering a violent explosion.

The explosion is deafening, and thick smoke fills the air. Taking advantage of the chaos, Kyle concentrates and uses the power of the stardust to form a shield around himself. Then, he rushes towards the direction of the Interstellar Federation spaceship. He knows that only by boarding the spaceship can he have a chance to escape this dangerous place.

On the way to the spaceship, Kyle keeps dodging the agents' attacks. His body moves nimbly through the ruins. The power of the stardust surges in his body, giving him strength. Finally, he reaches the hatch of the spaceship.

Kyle rushes into the spaceship without hesitation. He searches everywhere in the spaceship for the location of the cockpit. At this time, the alarm in the spaceship is blaring, and the crew members have picked up their weapons, ready to deal with this uninvited guest.

Kyle runs through the narrow passageways, his eyes firm and determined. He knows that he has no way back and must find the cockpit as soon as possible to escape this dangerous place.

After some searching, Kyle finally finds the cockpit. He pushes the door hard and rushes in. In the cockpit, the pilot is about to activate the spaceship's weapon system to attack Kyle. Seeing this, Kyle immediately controls the power of the stardust and knocks the pilot unconscious.

Then, Kyle sits in the driver's seat. Looking at the complex control panel in front of him, a hint of nervousness wells up in his heart. Although he has read some books about spaceship operation on the planet Tar, this is his first time actually operating a spaceship.

However, Kyle doesn't have time to hesitate at this moment. He takes a deep breath, recalls the knowledge from the books, and starts trying to start the spaceship. With his efforts, the spaceship's engine gradually roars softly, and the spaceship slowly rises into the sky.

Kyle looks at the gradually receding planet Tar outside the window, his heart filled with mixed emotions. He knows that his ordinary life has completely ended, and what awaits him is a journey full of unknowns and dangers. And he, the "Child of the Stardust" chosen by fate, has just embarked on the path of awakening.

The spaceship flies slowly in the vast universe. Kyle sits in the driver's seat, looking at the twinkling stars outside the window, his heart filled with confusion and anticipation. He doesn't know what his future will be like or what challenges await him. But he knows that from this moment on, his fate is closely linked to the stardust. He must bravely face everything and explore the secrets hidden behind the stardust.
