Chapter 7: Tracking the Signal

Kyle was immersed in the exploration of the stardust power on the spaceship, completely unaware that the tracking system of the Interstellar Federation had locked onto his spaceship. Inside a secret base of the Interstellar Federation, the atmosphere was tense and oppressive. In the huge command center, various instruments had their indicator lights flashing. Technicians were busily operating at their respective posts, and data kept jumping on the large holographic screens.

Rain stood in front of the command console, his eyes fixed on the blinking dot representing Kyle's spaceship on the screen. His face was as cold as ice that had endured for a thousand years, and in his deep - set eyes burned a flame of determination that would stop at nothing to achieve his goal. The adjutant beside him stood cautiously, not daring to even breathe loudly for fear of disturbing Rain.

"He won't get away this time!" Rain said through gritted teeth. His voice was low and full of authority, as if squeezed out between his teeth. His hands unconsciously clenched, and the veins on the back of his hands bulged slightly, revealing his inner anger and determination.

"Yes, sir! We've assembled our elite forces and are ready to depart at any time." The adjutant responded quickly, while nervously observing Rain's expression.

Rain nodded slightly, his gaze still not leaving the tracking screen. "Notify the fleet to set off immediately. This operation must succeed. Once Kyle is spotted, surround him immediately and don't give him any chance to escape." His tone was decisive, and every word was like a death order.

With Rain's order, the Interstellar Federation's fleet sprang into action quickly. One advanced spaceship after another was neatly arranged at the spaceport outside the base. Their engines rumbled deeply, like a group of wild beasts about to hunt. Rain led the elite troops onto the flagship. He strode towards the command console, his eyes revealing strong confidence and determination.

In the command room of the flagship, Rain sat in front of the main console and carefully checked the data of the tracking system again. "What's the target's current speed and course?" he asked without looking back.

"Report, sir. Kyle's spaceship is flying towards the edge of the Andromeda Spur at a speed of approximately one - tenth the speed of light," a technician replied promptly.

Rain frowned slightly. After a moment of thought, he said, "Increase the fleet's speed and approach the target as fast as possible. Pay attention to maintaining the formation and don't disperse."

The fleet, like a group of hungry sharks, quickly chased after Kyle's spaceship. In space, the spaceships left behind bright trails, like shooting stars in the night sky. Rain sat in front of the command console, his eyes fixed on the tracking screen, not missing any detail. The figure of Kyle kept appearing in his mind, and he felt complex emotions towards this young man. On one hand, he was shocked and curious about the stardust power Kyle possessed. On the other hand, he had to complete the mission and bring Kyle back to the Federation, no matter the cost.

At this time, Kyle was still focused on studying the stardust power on the spaceship. He didn't notice at all that danger was approaching step by step. The spaceship was flying steadily in the universe. Kyle sat in the pilot's seat, closed his eyes again, and tried to establish a closer connection with the stardust power in his body. He recalled those mysterious symbols in his mind and tried hard to guide the stardust power to flow in his body. Gradually, he felt that he had made some more progress in controlling the stardust power. The power surged in his body, filling him with confidence.

Just as Kyle was immersed in the joy of exploring the stardust power, the alarm system of the spaceship suddenly let out a shrill scream. Kyle opened his eyes abruptly, and a sense of foreboding welled up in his heart. He quickly looked at the dashboard and found that a large number of energy reactions were approaching rapidly from behind.

"Damn it! Could it be the Interstellar Federation chasing after me?" Kyle cursed under his breath, and his expression became solemn. His heart rate instantly accelerated, and his hands unconsciously tightened around the control stick. He knew that he was in danger again.

Kyle quickly checked the status of the spaceship and found that the damage it had sustained in the previous battles had not been fully repaired, and the fuel was running low. Facing the approaching Federal Fleet, his situation was extremely difficult. But Kyle wasn't intimidated by fear. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down.

"Don't panic. I must find a way to get rid of them." Kyle said to himself, his eyes revealing a determined look. He began to think of countermeasures, his eyes quickly scanning the dashboard, trying to find any possible opportunity.

On the flagship, Rain saw that Kyle's spaceship seemed to have noticed their pursuit and suddenly increased its speed. The corners of his mouth turned up slightly, revealing a sneer. "Trying to run? It's not that easy!" He quickly gave the order: "All units, speed up and close the distance with the target. Prepare the weapon systems and launch an attack immediately once we're in range."

The spaceships of the Federal Fleet were getting faster and faster, gradually approaching Kyle's spaceship. Rain stared intently at the tracking screen, his eyes full of anticipation. He seemed to have already seen the scene of Kyle being captured, and the excitement in his heart was hard to contain.

"Sir, we're 100,000 kilometers away from the target. We'll be in weapon range in 5 minutes," the technician reported.

Rain nodded and said, "Keep a close eye on the target's movements and be ready to adjust the tactics at any time." His eyes revealed a hint of coldness, as if Kyle was already in his grasp.

Kyle felt that the danger behind him was getting closer. He knew he couldn't just sit and wait for death. He decided to use the stardust power to deal with this crisis. He concentrated and guided the stardust power to form a stronger shield around the spaceship. At the same time, he tried to use the stardust power to interfere with the Federal Fleet's tracking system.

On the flagship of the Federal Fleet, a technician suddenly shouted, "Sir, the tracking signal is being interfered with. The target's position has become unstable."

Rain frowned and said, "Increase the tracking power and find a way to eliminate the interference." A hint of confusion flashed in his eyes. He didn't understand how Kyle could interfere with the tracking system.

Kyle not only controlled the spaceship to accelerate but also constantly adjusted the intensity of the stardust - power interference. He knew that he had to buy more time to find a way to get rid of the Federal Fleet. In the tense atmosphere, time passed by second by second, and the distance between the Federal Fleet and Kyle's spaceship was getting closer.

"We're 50,000 kilometers away from the target. The weapon systems are ready," the technician reported again.

Rain stared closely at the screen and gave the order, "Prepare to attack. Fire a round of warning shots first to show him our power."

On the spaceships of the Federal Fleet, the muzzles of the energy cannons glowed blue, and beams of energy shot towards Kyle's spaceship. Seeing the energy beams coming from behind, Kyle's heart tightened. He quickly maneuvered the spaceship to dodge and increased the strength of the stardust - power shield.

The energy beams hit the stardust - power shield, splashing out beautiful lights. The shield trembled slightly under the powerful energy impact but withstood the attack for the time being. Kyle felt the huge impact on the spaceship, and his body shook violently with it.

"Hmph, he's quite resilient." Rain was a bit surprised when he saw that Kyle had blocked the attack, but there was more anger in his eyes. "Keep attacking. Don't give him a chance to catch his breath!" he shouted.

The Federal Fleet launched another attack. This time, more energy beams were fired at Kyle's spaceship. Inside the spaceship, Kyle nervously evaded the attacks. His forehead was covered with sweat, but his eyes revealed firmness and unyieldingness. He knew that he had to hold on and not be caught by the Federal Fleet.

In the intense battle, Kyle suddenly noticed a nebula ahead. The nebula was filled with clouds and mists, full of various unknown dangers, but it might also be his chance to get rid of the Federal Fleet. An idea flashed through Kyle's mind, and he decided to take a risk and enter the nebula.

"Forget it. I'll take a gamble!" Kyle gritted his teeth and controlled the spaceship to charge towards the nebula.

Rain saw Kyle's spaceship flying towards the nebula, and a look of hesitation appeared on his face. The interior of the nebula was complex, filled with all kinds of unknown energy fluctuations and dangerous substances. Entering it rashly could be dangerous. But he didn't want to let Kyle escape either, and he was caught in a dilemma.

"Sir, should we chase after him?" the adjutant asked cautiously.

After a moment of thought, a fierce glint flashed in Rain's eyes. He said, "Chase! We can't let him get away. Keep a close eye on all the parameters of the spaceships. Retreat immediately if any danger is detected."

The Federal Fleet followed Kyle's spaceship into the nebula. Inside the nebula, the light became dim, and the spaceships' radars and tracking systems were severely interfered with. Rain stared closely at the screen, trying hard to find Kyle's spaceship. He knew that every moment in this nebula was full of danger, but he had no way back.
