Chapter 28: The Secrets of the Lingyao Clan and a New Journey

Kyle was piloting the spaceship, heading towards the unknown galaxy in the vast universe. Inside the spaceship, the monotonous humming sound of the instruments filled the air, creating a somewhat dull atmosphere. Alicia sat on the side, her fingers casually tapping on the console. Her eyes would occasionally drift towards Kyle in the pilot's seat and then secretly glance at the mysterious person who remained silent. Kyle gripped the joystick tightly, his gaze fixed on the front, but his mind was constantly occupied with thoughts about the mysterious person's identity. Finally, after the spaceship had been flying steadily for a while, Kyle broke the silence.

He tilted his head slightly, his eyes filled with anticipation. "Mysterious person, we've been through so much together. I've always been curious. I still don't know your name. Also, you've always been so secretive about your background. Can you tell us about it now?" As he spoke, he furrowed his brows slightly, an eager expression appearing on his face.

Alicia quickly chimed in, leaning forward with her eyes shining brightly. "Yeah, mysterious person, don't keep us in suspense anymore. It feels like you have so many stories hidden within you, and they must be closely related to our adventure." As she spoke, she gestured with her hands, trying to emphasize her curiosity.

The mysterious person was slightly taken aback. A trace of imperceptible melancholy flashed across his otherwise calm face. Then he let out a soft sigh, and his gaze became distant, as if he had fallen into deep memories. He slowly raised his head, looking at the top of the spaceship, and said in a low voice, "Actually, I should have told you this earlier. My name is Morgan, and I come from an ancient race that has long since disappeared into the annals of history - the Lingyao Clan."

Kyle and Alicia exchanged a look, their eyes full of surprise. Alicia's mouth dropped open in astonishment, and Kyle couldn't help but raise his voice slightly. "The Lingyao Clan? It sounds so mysterious. We've never heard of it before."

Morgan nodded, a hint of nostalgia showing in his eyes. "The Lingyao Clan once had a highly developed civilization. We were closely connected to the stardust power. Over the long years, our people delved deep into the study of the stardust power and mastered many unique technologies and abilities. We used the stardust power to build magnificent interstellar cities, create spaceships that could travel across distant galaxies, and develop miraculous medical techniques that could cure all kinds of diseases. At that time, our civilization shone brightly in the universe." As he said this, the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, and a faint smile appeared on his face.

Kyle was so engrossed in listening that he unconsciously leaned forward. "So what happened later? What caused the Lingyao Clan to disappear?" His eyes were filled with curiosity and concern.

Morgan's eyes instantly dimmed, and a look of pain flashed across his face. He clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles turned white. "A sudden disaster struck. It was a mysterious and powerful dark force, and no one knew where it came from. Wherever this force went, everything was destroyed, and the stardust power also seemed to be affected by it, becoming chaotic. Our people rose up to resist, using all our strength and wisdom, but we still couldn't withstand the invasion of this dark force. The planets of the Lingyao Clan fell one by one, the cities were destroyed, and countless of our people lost their lives. In the end, the civilization of the Lingyao Clan was destroyed, leaving only a few survivors, and I am one of them." His voice choked slightly, and he slowly lowered his head, as if he didn't want to recall that painful past.

Alicia looked at Morgan sympathetically and gently patted his shoulder to comfort him. "Morgan, it's been so difficult for you. So what have you been looking for all these years?" Her eyes were filled with concern and sympathy.

"I bear the mission of passing on the knowledge of my race, exploring the truth of the disaster, and revitalizing my race," Morgan raised his head, his eyes becoming resolute again. "During these years of wandering in the universe, I've been searching everywhere for clues related to the stardust power, hoping to figure out the source of that dark force and find a way to fight against it. Until I met Kyle, and I sensed the stardust power in him. I knew that this might be an opportunity for me to achieve my goal, so I decided to join your adventure." As he spoke, he clenched his fists slightly, as if encouraging himself.

A sense of mission welled up in Kyle's heart. He nodded firmly, his eyes resolute. "Morgan, don't worry. We will definitely uncover the secrets of the stardust power together, find a way to fight against that dark force, and maybe even help you revitalize the Lingyao Clan." As he spoke, his eyes sparkled with confidence.

Morgan nodded slightly, a glimmer of gratitude flashing in his eyes. "Thank you. Actually, through my research and exploration, I've discovered that there are several key star regions in this universe, all of which are intricately connected to the stardust power. The place we're going to next is just one of them. In those star regions, there may be the keys to unlocking the secrets of the stardust power, and there may also be clues to fighting against the dark force."

"Really? That's so exciting!" Kyle exclaimed, half-standing up from his seat with excitement and waving his hands in the air. "I can't wait to explore it."

"However, those star regions are full of dangers and unknowns," Morgan's expression turned serious, and he furrowed his brows slightly. "The Blazing Flame Crystal Star Region we're about to go to is filled with fiery planets and rivers of flowing magma. The surfaces of the planets are covered with blazing crystals that emit high temperatures. The environment there is extremely harsh, and an ordinary spaceship simply can't get close. We must find a special way to enter safely and carry out our exploration."

Alicia furrowed her brows, bit her lip, and after thinking for a moment, she said, "But there are no facilities on the spaceship, and we can't upgrade or modify the spaceship. What should we do?" As she spoke, she paced back and forth in the cockpit anxiously.

Morgan pondered for a moment, and then his eyes suddenly lit up. "In my previous exploration, I found an abandoned interstellar base. It's not too far from our current course. It used to be a research station, and maybe we can find what we need there."

Kyle's eyes brightened, and he said excitedly, "Then let's go there immediately!" As he spoke, he immediately began to adjust the course of the spaceship.

On the way to the abandoned interstellar base, the three of them discussed what they might find in the base. Alicia guessed excitedly, "Maybe we can find some advanced energy shield technology, so we can resist the high temperatures." As she spoke, she gestured with her hands to show the shape of the shield.

Kyle smiled and replied, "It would be great if we could find a new type of engine thruster. Then we could move more flexibly in the star region." He made movements with his hands as if he was operating the thruster, and his face was filled with anticipation.

Morgan looked at them, shook his head slightly, and smiled to remind them, "Don't be too optimistic. We still don't know the situation in the base. Maybe we'll encounter a lot of difficulties." A hint of caution showed in his eyes.

Finally, the spaceship arrived at the abandoned interstellar base. The base looked dilapidated. Its metal shell was covered with the marks of time, and some areas were still crackling with electricity. Kyle carefully maneuvered the spaceship to approach an entrance of the base and tried to dock.

After successfully docking, the three of them put on their spacesuits and prepared to enter the base. Morgan walked in front, his steps steady and cautious. He held a small detector in his hand and carefully scanned the surrounding environment. Kyle and Alicia followed behind. Alicia looked around curiously, her eyes shining with excitement, while Kyle tightly gripped the weapon in his hand, ready to deal with any possible danger at any time.

After entering the base, they found that most of the equipment inside was damaged. However, with his rich experience, Morgan still managed to find some useful things. They found a special heat-insulating material. Although there wasn't much of it, it could be used to reinforce the spaceship's shell. They also found some energy crystals. After testing, these crystals could be adapted to the spaceship's energy system and might be able to enhance the spaceship's power.

In the base, they also discovered some research materials on navigation in high-temperature environments. Morgan carefully studied these materials and occasionally recorded key information on the electronic device he carried with him. Kyle and Alicia helped look for usable parts on the side and carefully collected them.

After some effort, they returned to the spaceship with the materials and information they had found. According to the technology in the materials, Morgan guided Kyle and Alicia to make some simple modifications to the spaceship. They covered the key parts of the spaceship with the heat-insulating material and adjusted the energy output of the spaceship using the energy crystals, enhancing the spaceship's heat resistance and power performance. Although the modified spaceship couldn't fully adapt to the extreme environment of the Blazing Flame Crystal Star Region, it at least provided a bit more safety.

After everything was ready, Kyle piloted the spaceship and slowly approached the Blazing Flame Crystal Star Region. As the spaceship got closer, the scenery outside the window became more and more peculiar. Huge fiery planets loomed in front of them. The magma on the surfaces of the planets flowed like rivers, and the blazing crystals flashed with dazzling light, illuminating the entire star region like daytime. Heat waves began to continuously impact the spaceship. Fortunately, the modified spaceship was able to withstand the high temperatures for the time being.

"Everyone, get ready. We're about to enter the Blazing Flame Crystal Star Region," Kyle said. Alicia and Morgan nodded, and the spaceship broke through a layer of scorching energy barrier and officially entered the Blazing Flame Crystal Star Region.
