Chapter 9

Callie, upon hearing this, immediately drove to Granger's house and pounded furiously on the door.

Granger, unaware of the situation, saw Callie and exclaimed with unbridled joy, "Melody, you've finally come to your senses."

"Soren was just a passing phase."

"I'm the perfect match for you."

His smile was so wide it almost distorted his face, thinking his wishes were about to come true.

However, in the next second, Callie delivered a resounding slap across Granger's face.

"Why did you hit me?"

Granger was dumbfounded.

After all, Callie used to dote on him endlessly, let alone ever hitting or scolding him.

"You bastard, you son of a bitch, you animal!"

Callie cursed vehemently, "So you've been faking depression all along, using it to sabotage my relationship with Soren."

"Soren never intended to throw dirty water on you."

"It was all your act."

"You lied to me! You're such a piece of shit!"
