Nyx's Day Out

2 days passed in a blink, Ye Feng other than going to University visited Tang Shuang where they had a passionate night. In University he spent some time with Li Yue and Bai Shuang ,other than that he spent his time for cultivation.

Today was a weekend day, and he was going to take Nyx for a walk in the city. Currently Nyx was sitting in front seat while Ye Feng was driving.

The streets of Shanghai were bustling with life—cars honking, pedestrians rushing along the sidewalks, and neon billboards flashing advertisements in every direction. Amidst all this, a black XUV smoothly pulled into a parking lot near one of the city's most popular shopping districts.

Inside the car, Ye Feng leaned back against the driver's seat, glancing at the excited little girl beside him. Nyx, dressed in her usual black frock, sat with her face pressed against the window, her black eyes shimmering with curiosity.

"Master, this place is amazing! So many lights! So many people! So many—"

Ye Feng sighed, already regretting bringing her along. "Calm down, Nyx. We're just here to look around and relax."

Nyx turned to him, pouting. "Relax? No way! I want to have fun! We need to go to all the best places!"

Ye Feng massaged his temples.

Their first destination was an arcade filled with flashing screens, game machines, and kids shouting in excitement. The moment Nyx stepped in, her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.

"Master! What is this place?!" she asked, pulling on his sleeve.

"A gaming center," Ye Feng replied, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "People come here to—"

Before he could finish, Nyx had already dashed toward a claw machine. Pressing her face against the glass, she stared at a plush panda toy inside.

"I want that."

Ye Feng raised an eyebrow. "You're a sword spirit. What do you need a stuffed panda for?"

Nyx turned, puffing her cheeks. "It's cute! And it's round! I want this."

Ye Feng exhaled and inserted some coins into the machine. With precise movements, he controlled the claw, carefully maneuvering it above the panda. With one smooth motion, he pressed the button—

The claw missed completely.

Nyx blinked. "Master… was that supposed to happen?"

Ye Feng stared at the machine as if it had personally offended him. Without a word, he pulled out another coin and tried again.

Miss.

Again.

Miss.

After ten attempts, Ye Feng's eye twitched dangerously.

Nyx burst into laughter. "Master, you're so bad at this!"

Ye Feng, feeling his reputation crumble, took a deep breath. "Stay here."

He walked away and, a few moments later, returned—with a giant bag filled with plush pandas that he had bought directly from the counter.

Nyx gasped. "Whoa! You're rich!"

Ye Feng tossed the bag at her. "There. Take them and let's move on."

Nyx happily hugged her new panda army. "Master, you're the best!"

After leaving the arcade, Nyx dragged Ye Feng to an ice cream shop. She ordered the biggest sundae on the menu, filled with scoops of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles.

As she took a bite, her entire body froze.

"Master…" she whispered.

Ye Feng raised an eyebrow. "What?"

She grabbed his hand, looking at him with sheer awe. "This is the greatest thing I've ever tasted."

Ye Feng smirked. "Told you food outside is good."

Nyx nodded vigorously.

After completing her ice-cream, they roamed in the city for some time and then they went to a cafe.

The café was a cozy, stylish spot filled with the aroma of fresh coffee and pastries. Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a golden glow on the modern wooden tables. Soft chatter and the occasional clinking of cups filled the air.

Ye Feng sat by the window, sipping his black coffee, while Nyx happily swung her legs under the table, munching on a strawberry cheesecake with a delighted expression.

"Master, this is amazing! I love this cake!" she beamed, her cheeks slightly puffed from the bite she just took.

Ye Feng smirked. "I swear, you came into this world just to eat."

Nyx stuck her tongue out at him and continued eating.

As they enjoyed their moment of peace, a young boy suddenly appeared beside their table. Ye Feng recognized the boy—it was the same kid from the arcade, who was taking peeks at Nyx

The boy nervously scratched his head. "H-Hello! Um… i . I was wondering… can I still be your friend?" he asked, looking at Nyx with hopeful eyes.

Nyx put her fork down dramatically and crossed her arms. "Well, you see, I have an adopted father now," she said, nodding towards Ye Feng. "So, if you want to be my friend, you'll need his permission first."

Ye Feng, who had been mid-sip, choked on his coffee.

The boy's eyes widened in shock. "A-Adopted father?"

Unfortunately, their conversation had caught the attention of the customers sitting nearby. Whispers began spreading like wildfire.

"That guy adopted such a cute little girl? But… why?"

"He's too young to be her father… wait… does that mean—?!"

At that moment, the boy's parents—a well-dressed man in a business suit and a graceful woman in a floral dress—walked up to their table, having overheard the conversation.

The father's eyes narrowed suspiciously at Ye Feng. "Excuse me, sir," he said in a stern voice. "Did I hear correctly? You… adopted this little girl?"

Ye Feng felt a headache coming. "No, it's not like—"

Nyx cut him off, nodding seriously. "Yes! Father took me in because he said he needed someone cute around him."

The café went silent.

Several customers gasped.

The boy's mother clutched her purse tightly, her face filled with horror.

"NEEDED someone cute?!"

The father's expression darkened. "Young man… just what kind of motives did you have when adopting this child?"

Ye Feng's jaw dropped. "What the hell?! That's not what happened!"

The murmurs around the café intensified.

"I knew it! A young, handsome guy adopting a beautiful little girl out of nowhere? That's suspicious as hell!"

"What if he's a rich playboy with weird tastes…?"

"Disgusting! We should call the police!"

Ye Feng felt like his soul was leaving his body. His entire reputation was being destroyed before his eyes!

Meanwhile, Nyx innocently took another bite of her cheesecake, seemingly oblivious to the chaos she had just unleashed.

"Father, why is everyone looking at you like that?" she asked.

Ye Feng clenched his fists under the table. This brat… she's doing this on purpose!

The boy's father straightened his suit and stepped forward. "As a responsible parent, I cannot allow my son to interact with a man of questionable character." He turned to his son. "Come along, we're leaving."

But the boy, determined to be Nyx's friend, protested. "But Dad! she's nice!"

The mother grabbed her son's hand and pulled him back protectively. "Stay away from that man, honey! He's dangerous!"

Ye Feng felt his patience snap.

He stood up abruptly, towering over the boy. "Listen, kid," he said, his voice dropping into a dangerous tone.

The boy gulped.

"You want to be her friend?" Ye Feng said, cracking his knuckles menacingly.

The boy's legs trembled, looking at Ye Feng's attitude.

Ye Feng took a step forward, his aura becoming oppressively heavy. "If you don't run away i will break your both legs"

"H-Huh?"

Ye Feng smirked coldly. "You have three seconds."

The boy's survival instincts kicked in, and he turned on his heels and bolted out of the café, leaving behind a trail of dust.

The parents gasped in horror.

"You see that?! He threatened our son!" the mother shrieked.

Ye Feng pinched the bridge of his nose. This is getting worse.

"Enough of this nonsense," he muttered before swiftly picking Nyx up and tossing a wad of cash onto the table.

"Waiter" he said.

Then, without another word, he stormed out of the café, Nyx still in his arms, leaving behind a room full of stunned customers, a traumatized family, and a broken reputation.
