You wanted to speak with me in private, Miss Bai?" His tone was suave, tinged with amusement, as he reclined in his chair, languidly.
Bai Lian sighed softly, composing herself before meeting his gaze. "Yes, Ye Feng. You saved Bai Ling's life three years ago. I've always wanted to properly thank you, but you disappeared before I had the chance. Now that you're back, I must repay my debt. Whatever you need, let me know."
Ye Feng smiled, sipping his tea before putting the cup down. "That's very kind of you, Miss Bai. If you're really serious about paying me back, there is something you can do."
Bai Lian's eyebrows creased a little. "And what is that?"
Ye Feng leaned forward, placing his elbows on the table as his gaze roamed over her face before dropping down, admiring the deep lines hidden beneath the beautiful silk of her gown. "Repay me , with yourself."
Bai Lian's breath caught, her fingers clenching on the material of her gown. She had known Ye Feng to ask for money, assets, or even capital within the business circle—but this?
Bai Lian's breath hitched, her fingers tightening around the fabric of her dress. She had expected Ye Feng to request money, resources, or even favors within the business world—but this?
She tried to mask her surprise, but Ye Feng had already noticed the slight tremble of her lips. "Ye Feng, you must be joking."
"Do I look like I'm joking?" He tilted his head, a wolfish grin playing on his lips. He smiled, tilting his head slightly as he observed her reaction with predatory amusement. "You're beautiful, Miss Bai. Any man would be tempted. I'm just bold enough to say it outright."
Bai Lian inhaled sharply. She had faced countless men in her life, but Ye Feng… he was different. And that terrified her.
Bai Lian took a slow breath, collecting herself. "I acknowledge your bravery, but I am a mother and a widow. My time for romance has passed."
Ye Feng let out a soft laugh, shaking his head. "A woman like you? I don't believe that for a second. A widow, yes. A mother, yes. But still a woman. A breathtaking one at that. Why should a little thing like age or status stop you from indulging in pleasure?"
She stiffened at his words, her composure slightly cracking. "Ye Feng, don't test my patience."
"And what if I do?" He stood up, slowly stepping closer to her side of the table. Bai Lian remained seated, but her back straightened as she gazed up at him. Ye Feng reached out and gently traced a finger along the rim of her teacup, his proximity setting a tense atmosphere.
"Miss Bai, don't pretend you're not curious. Even now, I can see it in your eyes—you're weighing the possibilities. The woman inside you isn't indifferent. You simply don't allow yourself to think about it."
Bai Lian pursed her lips, her nails digging into her palm beneath the table. "You are too bold, Ye Feng."
"And you are too restrained," he countered smoothly. "Tell me, Bai Lian, have you ever let yourself go, even once, since your husband passed?"
Her breath hitched slightly at his words. The truth was, she hadn't. Ever since becoming a widow, she had focused entirely on her daughter, her family, and business. There was no time—no space—for desire.
Ye Feng smirked, seeing her hesitation. He leaned down slightly, his voice lowering to a whisper. "Think about it, Miss Bai. No one has to know. A secret between us. You, me… a debt repaid in the most intimate way."
Bai Lian exhaled sharply, pushing her chair back and standing up, creating distance between them. "Ye Feng, enough."
Bai Lian's jaw clenched. She turned towards the door, regaining her composure. "Bai Shuang is waiting. Let's not keep her waiting any longer."
Ye Feng smirked, stepping back with a casual shrug. "Of course."
As Bai Lian opened the door, Bai Shuang turned towards them with a bright smile, completely unaware of the tension that had filled the room just moments ago.
"Are you both done?" Bai Shuang asked cheerfully.
Ye Feng smirked, his gaze lingering on Bai Lian's back for a moment before replying, "Yes, we are. Let's enjoy the rest of our meal."
Bai Lian refused to meet his gaze, but Ye Feng knew—the seed had already been planted. And he was a patient man.
Ye Feng leaned back in his chair, watching Bai Lian's every reaction with sharp, calculating eyes. Her posture was rigid, her fingers tightening around the teacup she held. The discomfort in her expression amused him. She wasn't someone who could be easily swayed by charm alone. That made things more interesting.
"Bai Shuang is a good girl," Bai Lian said, regaining her composure. "She speaks highly of you."
Ye Feng while a smirk tugging at his lips spoke, "I can tell she takes after you in some ways. Beautiful, independent... and stubborn." His gaze lingered on her longer than necessary, his words laced with subtle suggestion.
Bai Lian frowned but did not respond to his obvious flirtation. "She looks up to you. Don't disappoint her."
Ye Feng chuckled. "I'm not in the habit of disappointing women." His words, his tone—it was all designed to unsettle her. "By the way, about your offer to repay me… I told you how you can do that."
She inhaled sharply but remained silent. He could see the conflict in her eyes.
The Lunch was soon completed , they talked about other things during the time .
After Lunch Ye Feng stood up wanted to take permission for leaving.
"It was a good Meal, Miss Lian. But now i have to take my leave ,you can contact me when you want. "He said while smiling at Bai Lian.
Then he shifted his gaze to Bai Shuang and said,"See you in university"
Then he went ahead and patted Bai Ling on head ,"See you soon, beautiful girl."Bai Ling giigled at his compliment, she also replied "see you soon".
After bidding farewell, Ye Feng departed from the luxurious restaurant with a smirk playing on his lips, lighting a cigarette as he leaned against his car.
