Chapter 16 Just Like Being in Love

"Just tell me, what do you want from me?" Ji Xiaonuan asked impatiently.

"Well, Xiaonuan, I went to the police station to try to bail Mengxue out, but they wouldn't release her. Do you really want to sue her?" Su Qingyu said dejectedly.

Ji Xiaonuan glanced at Chi Jun'an.

Su Qingyu came from a fairly well-off family. If he couldn't get Li Mengxue out, it seemed that Chi Jun'an had given some instructions.

"Yes, I do want to sue her," Not wanting to talk to him any more, Ji Xiaonuan nodded. "You can tell her to go back and get ready to go to prison."

"I'll hire the best lawyer for you." Chi Jun'an said indifferently.

"You'll ruin her like this," Su Qingyu looked at her in disbelief. "Ji Xiaonuan, do you really want to ruin her whole life because of such a trivial matter?"

"Su Qingyu, you're really good at double standards." Ji Xiaonuan looked at him in confusion. "When Li Mengxue falsely accused me, why didn't you see that what she did would ruin me? Now that I'm defending my rights properly, you think I'm the one ruining her? That's right, she's your girlfriend, so of course you side with her instead of justice."

"I..." Su Qingyu was left speechless.

Chi Jun'an looked at Ji Xiaonuan in surprise, and the smile on his lips became even wider.

"I heard it." Chi Jun'an curled his lips. "I just like her irritability, viciousness, and narrow-mindedness."

Su Qingyu stood there in a daze. Chi Jun'an put his arm around Ji Xiaonuan, who looked a bit dazed, and walked past him.

Feeling the warmth of his palm on her shoulder, Ji Xiaonuan's cheeks blushed slightly, and she struggled to get away from Chi Jun'an's hand.

"Don't be naughty. He's still watching." Chi Jun'an said softly.

Ji Xiaonuan stopped moving instantly. She instinctively wanted to look back.

"Don't look back. He'll misunderstand that you can't let go of him." Chi Jun'an continued.

Ji Xiaonuan immediately stopped the urge to look back.

But... why did her face feel hotter and hotter being held like this by Chi Jun'an?

"Um... You were just trying to help me out of the situation earlier, right?" Ji Xiaonuan asked uncertainly.

Saying that he liked her viciousness and narrow-mindedness really made her flustered.

Looking at her face, Chi Jun'an let out a soft "en" sound.

Ji Xiaonuan still resisted him. If he said he really liked her, it would definitely scare her away.

"That's good. Thank you." Ji Xiaonuan let out a sigh of relief.

Chi Jun'an's eyes darkened a bit more.

When they reached the school gate, Ji Xiaonuan asked in a low voice, "Can you let go of me now?"

"He's still following us." Chi Jun'an said calmly.

"Su Qingyu is still following?" Ji Xiaonuan was a bit surprised. Since when did Su Qingyu have the guts to follow her?

"En." He nodded seriously.

Ji Xiaonuan was suspicious. She suddenly looked back, but there was no sign of Su Qingyu behind them.

She angrily pushed Chi Jun'an away. "You bastard, liar! There's no one following us!"

"Don't follow me anymore. I don't need you to send me!" She angrily left these words behind and ran back to the dormitory building in one breath.

As soon as she got back to the dormitory, her phone rang.

It was a strange number she had never seen before. After a moment of hesitation, Ji Xiaonuan pressed the answer button.

"Are you back in the dormitory?"

Hearing that familiar voice, Ji Xiaonuan was so shocked that she almost dropped her phone!

"How did you get my number?" She asked angrily.

After asking, Ji Xiaonuan regretted it. He was Chi Jun'an. It was really easy for him to get her phone number. "You left your phone number when you participated in the preliminary selection." Chi Jun'an explained. He asked again, "Are you back?"

"Yes, I'm back. What do you want?" Ji Xiaonuan asked warily.

"Nothing. Now that you're back safely, I can rest assured. Save my number. You can contact me if you have anything." Chi Jun'an smiled softly. "Then I'll go. Goodbye."

Ji Xiaonuan was slightly stunned. Was that all?

Suddenly, as if she thought of something, she rushed to the balcony of the dormitory.

Standing on the balcony, Ji Xiaonuan immediately saw Chi Jun'an downstairs.

So, Chi Jun'an just wanted to send her back, and the phone call was just to make sure she arrived safely?
