"Didn't you go to the lecture?" he asked.

The snack shop was about to close. There was only the last portion of chicken wings and French fries left, but the blueberry sundaes had already been sold out.

"Is there really no blueberry sundae left?" Ji Xiaonuan asked reluctantly.

"There isn't any," the shop assistant said again.

"If there's none, then don't eat it," Chi Jun'an whispered. "It's so cold now. Eating it will make you catch a cold easily."

"Oh…" Ji Xiaonuan held the chicken wings and French fries with a disappointed expression.

"Let's go. I'll send you back," Chi Jun'an said in a deep voice.

It was so late, and he wasn't at ease with Ji Xiaonuan going back alone.

Just as she was about to reach out to wipe away her tears, Chi Jun'an suddenly bent down and kissed away her tears.

His thin lips slid across her cheek, and a burning warmth and a tingling sensation spread from her cheek. Ji Xiaonuan's body froze instantly.

He actually kissed her?

She looked up and stared at him blankly.

Chi Jun'an took off his coat and draped it over Ji Xiaonuan. "It's cold. Wear more clothes in the future."

Chi Jun'an looked at her crying and laughing face. He gently stretched out his arms and hugged her tightly.
