Aria's POV
The ministers exchanged glances, and a few murmurs rippled through the room. The head minister, who I have come to know as Lord Harridan, gave me a condescending smile.
"Your Highness, the courses outlined here are tailored to your position. As the future queen, your role will primarily involve ceremonial duties, hosting dignitaries, and overseeing cultural aspects of the court."
I raised an eyebrow. "And what of the matters of state? The governance of the kingdom? Surely, as queen, I must be well-versed in such affairs."
Lord Harridan's smile didn't waver, but there was a hint of patronization in his tone. "Those matters will be handled by the king and his council. Your position is more... symbolic. Your primary duty is to provide an heir and ensure the continuation of the royal lineage."
