I am the one who will 'Remain'

Chapter 6

"I have to advise you, don't take this bet. You will lose."

While looking at Melody, she thinks, I also have the same thought.

"Master Ark, I won't take that bet."

"Okay, but then can you tell us more about your clan history?"

Hearing the question, Melody thought, I should have told him more about the history of earth in the 'space conquering era'.

"Ark, we will find all about that at the Hunter University, and about all the other races, and about the power levels also."

"Then Leah, just lead the way."

While walking towards the store, a boy stops their path, he looks like he was face to face with his family's murderer. He shouts at Ark.

"What do you think you're doing, you fool? I will make you regret ever being born."

When Leah sees him, she doesn't say anything. I will watch Ark and see how strong he really is.

The people were gathering around them, ready to watch a good show. The people from the restaurant thinking, someone from the clan is already here, the news traveled real fast.

Just then, before finishing his words, someone appears in front of him, bringing the smell of spring and flowers with her, and a really beautiful innocent smiling face. He doesn't even have time to process completely, before he feels his feet leaving the earth and a burning, stinging pain on his cheek. Rotating 2 times in the air, he lands on his back, already passed out, his last thought, what just happened?

"You should thank me, you idiot, I just saved your life."

Then she walks back to Ark, not bothered by the people's stares or Leah's death stare.

"Ark, did you look at the fate strings when you said we should go at the champion's restaurant? Do you already know what is about to happen?"

"Yeah, I looked at the strings of fate and saw that by going there, I could have some fun, but just that, because I don't want to ruin the element of surprise by seeing the future. I just put things in play and let them unfold, like a domino game."

"And if you steal my prey again, I will make you walk on your hands with your feet in the air, and talk backwards for the rest of the day. Are we clear?"

She imagines herself like that, and a cold shiver runs through her body.

"Sorry, big brother, I will be good."

Leah just watches the two of them, already forgetting about her fainted clansman, a little bit more interested in this frail-looking young man.

In the end, they reach the clothing store and when they go in are greeted by a worker.

"Hello, do you need any help?"

"No thank you, I have two women with me, I have all the help I need."

The worker looks at the two of them and gulps, his mouth dry. He has a servant in a maid costume, that looks like a princess, and a jaw-dropping beautiful, spring-like looking woman. Who is he?

"Ark, what do you like, and we will pick for you."

"I want some new shorts and some pairs of new t-shirts, and some jeans maybe. Let's look around a little bit at first and then I will decide."

While looking around the store without a care in the world, outside was anything but that. In the top office of a few kilometers high building, a man sits in his chair, reading some documents. The man looks around 40, with a scar over his left eye, and a wild aura around his body. Just then his phone rings, he picks it up, and after a while, the documents start to float up, and a wind starts to be felt inside the office, and a scream is heard, then the building starts to shake from the ground up.

"I will kill him."

What happened, who angered the boss? The people are asking around.

A man enters the office, and he sees his boss ready to kill, and his aura makes it difficult to breathe.

"Get me a car right now, we are going to my daughter."

On the other side of the city, Ark and company were trying some clothes, not knowing that a storm was on the way to them. But even if they knew, they wouldn't have cared.

"Is enough, I have enough clothes now, let's go pay and then we will go directly to the university."

They paid for the clothes and then put them inside Melody's space ring. While on the road, Leah kept stealing glances towards Ark. Did he look this good earlier today? Maybe it's because of the new clothes...wait, what am I thinking? I need to think about what I will say to my father later today, not about these things.

On the road to the university, there were no more accidents, and Ark had the time to see the city a little bit also.

When they were still 5 minutes away from the university, a black car stops 10 meters on the road in front of them, and two men get out, then the car shrinks and the driver puts it in his pocket.

When Leah sees the big man in his suit with a look on his face that could kill, and his wild aura that suffocates everyone, she stops in her tracks.

"Father."

The man looks at her and first asks.

"Are you okay? Did he do anything to you?"

"I am fine, he didn't do anything to hurt me, father, I am sorry."

"I will deal with you later."

Ark and Melody just look at the man, with no signs of fear on their faces.

The man also looks at them, and when he sees their serene gaze and calm aura, he is surprised. This is not what he thought he would find. He made thousands of scenarios in his head: A plot by his enemies to anger him, or simply a fool who doesn't know who he is, thinking he is the center of the earth, and he can do anything that he wants.

But what he sees from the man throws away every scenario out the window. Better I should ask first about his intentions.

"Who are you, and what do you want from my daughter and from my clan?"

When Ark hears him, he thinks, he is a real man who life taught him good. He could've just started to attack me or insult me like the young man from his clan. But because he didn't act like an arrogant prick, he will live to see tomorrow.

"I don't have ill intentions against your clan or daughter; she just lost a bet, it's so simple. If you want to take her home, then you have to fight me, and win."
