Although Simu's kick landed squarely on Uchiha Hanabi's abdomen, he refused to back down.
For the glory of the Uchiha clan, surrender was not an option.
Still airborne, Hanabi struggled to form hand seals.
It worked!
Despite struggling with seals on normal occasions, in this critical moment, his hands moved effortlessly.
"A**hole! I'll show you the true power of the Uchiha clan!"
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"
What?!
The audience gasped in shock.
No one expected a student who hadn't even graduated to have already mastered Fire Style ninjutsu.
Kushina instinctively grabbed the corner of Minato's clothes, her eyes filled with concern for Simu.
The roaring flames illuminated everyone's faces.
"Don't worry, this won't be enough to stop Simu," Minato said with full confidence in his friend.
The Uchihas standing nearby smirked with disdain.
"The Great Fireball Technique? That brat's done for."
"He's all talk," one of the Uchiha elders sneered.
Their expressions brimmed with satisfaction.
This will prove once again that the Uchiha are the strongest in this village!
Meanwhile, the Third Hokage watched the match with a serious expression.
A massive fireball formed in mid-air, distorting the air around it with intense heat.
Like a flaming meteor, it hurtled toward the arena, aiming straight for Simu.
The teacher overseeing the match tensed, ready to intervene at any moment.
As soon as Simu signaled his surrender, he would immediately be pulled out of harm's way.
Yet, despite the swirling flames reflecting off his face, Simu remained completely still.
"This guy... is he frozen in fear?" someone in the crowd mocked.
As the fireball descended, Simu finally spoke.
"Wow, this is like a monster."
The fireball crashed down, engulfing the arena in a violent explosion.
Flames and shockwaves surged outward, but the barrier maintained by the surrounding ninjas prevented the audience from being affected.
"Kushina, stay back!" Minato said, holding her back as she tried to step forward.
Her eyes remained fixed on the inferno.
Though she usually didn't get along with Simu, she didn't want anything to happen to him.
High above, Hanabi, believing his attack had settled the fight, wiped the corner of his mouth as he slowly descended.
Just as he was about to bask in the glory of victory—
A voice, dripping with amusement, whispered in his ear.
"That was terrifying, little Uchiha brat."
Everyone turned pale with shock.
Simu had appeared behind Uchiha Hanabi!
"H-How is that possible?!"
The Uchiha elders were stunned.
Even as experienced battlefield veterans—though only Chūnin—they had not seen any trace of Simu's movement.
Hanabi's face turned white.
Still hovering mid-air, Simu leaned closer and smirked.
"Did you know that speed... is power?"
With that, his leg came crashing down.
BAM!
The powerful kick sent Uchiha Hanabi hurtling into the crater left by his own fireball!
A thick cloud of dust billowed from the impact.
The entire arena fell into a dead silence.
No one could believe what they had just witnessed.
The previously arrogant Uchiha prodigy had been utterly defeated—almost effortlessly.
"The match is over!"
"Hanyu Simu wins!"
The school officials rushed to stop the fight and carried Hanabi away for medical treatment.
Kushina stared at Simu, utterly dumbfounded.
"Since when... since when did he become this strong?"
Though she always knew Simu was capable, she never imagined he was this powerful!
The entire fight had been completely one-sided.
And the way he moved—his techniques—felt almost incomprehensible.
"As expected of you, Simu."
Namikaze Minato gazed at him with burning determination.
Although he had a gentle personality, seeing Simu's overwhelming talent ignited a competitive fire within him.
Especially that last move—
The sheer speed of Simu's attack left even Minato feeling humbled.
Deep in the shadows, a hoarse voice muttered:
"Interesting... those physical techniques."
Shimura Danzo, the man known as the "Darkness of the Shinobi World," watched Simu with an expression akin to a hunter spotting his next prey.
The Third Hokage narrowed his eyes and issued a firm warning.
"Danzo, don't even think about touching this child without my permission."
Danzo remained silent for a moment before responding.
"There will be a time," he muttered cryptically.
The quiet tension was soon shattered by a sudden eruption of cheers from the audience.
Though most were simply excited by the spectacle, some, like Minato, saw something more—
A future Hokage-level talent.
Simu, however, paid no mind to the praise.
With his hands still stuffed in his pockets, he casually looked up and called out:
"Lord Hokage, am I number one today?"
"If not, I can keep going."
