Chapter 83 New Mission: Assassinate The Daimyo Of The Ash Country!

Tsunade was extremely angry—since when did she need a kid to take care of her like this?

Her blonde hair fluttered wildly, and the black diamond-shaped mark on her forehead suddenly emitted a dark purple glow. Then, as if it had a life of its own, it spread outward.

In an instant, the markings covered her entire face.

A massive amount of Chakra that had been sealed away for a long time was suddenly unleashed.

The overwhelming Chakra, surging like a tsunami, filled every part of Tsunade's body.

This was the special sealing technique she had mastered—the Hundred Healings Mark.

By storing unused Chakra within the seal, she could release an immense amount of it when needed.

This Chakra would continuously heal her body, placing her in a temporary state of near-immortality.

And now, she was truly furious at Simu's attitude.

Simu's expression turned serious.

"Damn… she actually activated the Ninja Art: Mitotic Regeneration—Baihao Technique?"

That was one of Tsunade's ultimate techniques, her trump card in battle.

If she had resorted to this, then he had to take this fight seriously.

Tsunade gathered a massive amount of Chakra around her palm, condensing it into a Chakra Scalpel of immense power.

"Brat, let me show you what it means to be a senior!"

As soon as she spoke, her Chakra Scalpel clashed violently against the golden lightsaber coming toward her.

The brilliant golden blade and the condensed Chakra Scalpel collided with a deafening impact.

"AHHH!!!"

Tsunade's expression contorted as she roared and pressed forward with all her strength, trying to overpower Simu's attack.

A harsh, piercing screech rang out, nearly bursting their eardrums.

With Tsunade pouring all her strength into her strike, the balance between them finally broke.

Her Chakra Scalpel shattered the golden sword, scattering countless golden sparks into the air.

Within a radius of several dozen meters, all the trees around her were sliced clean in half.

"Damn brat…"

Tsunade withdrew her Chakra, glancing at her hand to see a bright red cut on her fist.

Although she had shattered the golden sword, she hadn't escaped unscathed.

She hadn't expected Simu's attack to be so sharp—even with the Hundred Healings Mark, her Chakra Scalpel couldn't completely negate the damage.

And worse… the wound was caused by Senjutsu Chakra.

Even with the Baihao Technique's regenerative power, injuries inflicted by Sage Chakra healed at only one-fifth of the normal speed.

"You've really been hiding your strength all this time, haven't you?"

Tsunade shot Simu a questioning glare.

Simu, however, remained calm.

"Oh no, this is just the result of my training over the past year," he said with a grin.

"But I have to say, Senior Tsunade, your strength is terrifying!"

Tsunade snorted but said nothing.

She could activate an even higher stage of the Baihao Technique.

However, doing so would come at the cost of burning through her own vitality.

And honestly, it wasn't worth it just to deal with this kid.

Besides… who knew how much strength he was still hiding?

A year ago, he had defeated all of the Hyuga Clan's elite members single-handedly.

Since then, he had mastered Sage Mode and developed multiple Senjutsu techniques.

There was no telling how much stronger he had become.

Tsunade studied Simu with a mixture of admiration, apprehension, and—just a little—jealousy.

As a direct descendant of the Senju Clan, she had failed to master the Sage Mode of Shikkotsu Forest…

And yet, this outsider had done it instead.

The admiration came from the fact that a powerhouse like him would be an asset to Konoha's future.

But at the same time, if such terrifying power wasn't properly controlled, it could become a disaster for the village.

"If that's the case, let's end today's training, Senior Tsunade!"

"If we keep going, I might actually die!"

Simu scratched his head, looking troubled.

Tsunade snorted and turned away.

"Do whatever you want."

For her, this battle had already lost its purpose.

Originally, she had planned to guide Simu's training through combat… and maybe beat him up a little to keep his arrogance in check.

Underestimating the enemy was a fatal mistake on the battlefield.

But as it turned out, she had been the one caught off guard.

This brat was way stronger than she expected.

Seriously, are all kids these days this ridiculous?

Just as Simu was about to speak, the Den Den Mushi in his pocket started wriggling.

"Moshi Moshi, what's going on?"

Simu picked up the call, and Minato's voice came through.

"Congratulations, Simu. Your mission suspension has been lifted."

Simu's face dropped.

What did that mean?

It meant… his vacation was over!

Was it really too much to ask to just stay in the village and relax?

Why did he have to go on a mission again?

Simu couldn't understand.

But since Minato had gone out of his way to contact him, it meant he was on a mission himself.

"...You guessed right."

Minato confirmed his suspicion.

"Come back first. Meet me at the usual spot."

Simu sighed heavily and turned to Tsunade.

"Senior Tsunade, you heard that…"

Before he could even finish, she waved her hand impatiently.

"Just go, go! Stop annoying me!"

"Hehe, then I'll be off. See you next time, Katsuyu!"

Simu waved at both Tsunade and Katsuyu.

"Good luck, Mr. Kizaru."

Katsuyu, as always, spoke so politely.

Just as Simu was about to leave, Tsunade suddenly called out to him.

She looked at him seriously and said:

"Kid, since you have such incredible power, make sure you use it the right way."

Simu shoved his hands into his pockets and casually replied:

"Ah… well… I guess I'll try?"

He wasn't about to promise anything.

After all, he was a Marine Admiral—a man who did whatever he wanted.

"This kid..."

Tsunade watched as Simu disappeared into smoke and muttered to herself.

"Tsunade-sama, don't worry. Mr. Kizaru doesn't see world peace as his mission like Hashirama-sama did," Katsuyu reassured her. "But he's definitely not some kind of evildoer."

As a sage creature, Katsuyu could sense the strong aura of laziness coming from Simu.

Tsunade sighed.

"I hope so."

After returning to Konoha, Simu flickered across the village and landed in the training grounds near the Forest of Death.

Sure enough, Minato, Kushina, and Rei were already waiting for him.

"You finally showed up," Minato said with a smile.

A year in Anbu had changed Minato drastically. While he still had a gentle demeanor, there was now an underlying sharpness—a hidden blade concealed beneath a warm and elegant scabbard.

Simu, on the other hand, still looked like someone who had just woken up from an afternoon nap.

"What's the mission this time?" he asked, picking his nose absentmindedly.

Immediately, he felt a chilling glare from Kushina and quickly lowered his hand.

"Ahem, force of habit."

Minato sighed helplessly.

As expected, things could never be serious with Simu around.

He took out a scroll and said, "This is an S-rank mission."

Simu's expression immediately darkened.

To him, an S-rank mission meant danger, trouble, and a high chance of landing in the hospital!

Minato, as if predicting his reaction, casually added, "The reward is 10 million ryo."

"Deal!"

Simu was the first to jump up.

"As long as the pay is good, I'll send the enemy flying out of the Hidden Mist Village!"

Ten million ryo! That was a fortune!

If Simu remembered correctly, even the bounty on Asuma Sarutobi's head was only around 35 million ryo.

This one mission alone was worth almost a third of that!

Seeing Simu's exaggerated reaction, Kushina immediately smacked him on the head.

"Stop messing around!"

Although she acted annoyed, deep down, she was excited.

If she could successfully complete an S-rank mission, her ninja rank would increase naturally, bringing her one step closer to her dream—becoming Hokage.

Unfortunately, Minato's next words shattered her fantasy.

"Sorry, Kushina, this mission doesn't include you."

"Why?" Kushina frowned.

Minato explained patiently, "This mission requires us to travel to the Land of Rivers, outside the Land of Fire."

"Right now, the Land of Rivers is at war with the Land of Ash, and there's a high possibility that the Land of Wind will get involved."

"It's too dangerous for you to be there."

Kushina fell silent. She understood the special circumstances of her body.

If she encountered danger, she might not be able to control the monster sealed inside her.

But it still stung.

Especially knowing that Simu and Rei would be going without her.

Simu patted her head.

"Don't worry, we'll be back soon."

"Hmph! Who's worried about you?" Kushina turned away, pretending to be indifferent.

Minato continued, "The target of this mission is the daimyo of the Land of Ash."

"According to Anbu's intelligence, the Land of Ash has completely sided with the Land of Wind. It's likely to become a foothold for the Land of Wind's invasion of the Land of Fire."

"That's why we must assist the Land of Rivers in eliminating the daimyo of the Land of Ash—to relieve the border pressure on the Land of Fire."

Assassinating a daimyo...

No wonder the reward was a hefty 10 million ryo.

Minato turned to Rei.

"This time, we need a reconnaissance ninja. Rei, I'm counting on you."

Rei nodded firmly.

"No problem."

She had been kept off missions ever since that day. Instead, she had spent the past year training alongside Simu, honing her skills.

Now that she finally had a chance to contribute, she wouldn't refuse.

Seeing Kushina's worried expression, Hyuga Rei smiled and said,

"Sister Kushina, don't worry, I'll take good care of Simu-kun."

Kushina rubbed her head and sighed.

"Idiot, I'm worried about you!"

"I don't care what happens to that guy!"
