chapter thirty-three

As suddenly as the conversation had ended, Zamiel stood up, his movements fluid and swift. "I have work to do," he said, his voice low and dismissive.

And with that, he vanished.

One moment he was standing on the balcony, the next he was gone. Azura blinked, her eyes scanning the empty space where Zamiel had been. She shook her head, a wry smile twisting her lips.

She knew better than to be surprised by Zamil's sudden disappearances. He was a master of manipulation, a weaver of shadows and darkness. He could appear and disappear at will, leaving others to wonder if they had just imagined his presence.

Azura turned and walked away, her footsteps echoing through the silent hallway.

The balcony was empty now, the only sound the distant hum of the city and the soft rustle of the wind through the trees. But Azura knew that Zamiel's presence still lingered, a dark and brooding energy that seemed to seep into every corner of the castle.

Korak stood across the road, his injuries from the last fight with Zamiel now healed. His eyes gleamed with malevolence as he watched a group of children board a school bus. A woman, the teacher, was chatting with another lady outside, oblivious to the horror that was about to unfold.

Korak smiled wickedly as he snuck onto the bus, disguising himself as the driver. The teacher finished her conversation and boarded the bus, unaware of the monster behind the wheel.

As the bus began to move, Korak's true intentions became clear. He started driving recklessly, causing the children to scream in terror. The teacher, clinging to a chair for dear life, begged the driver to calm down.

But Korak's response was a chilling one. His neck twisted in an unnatural way, his body still driving the bus while his head faced the terrified passengers.

The children screamed in horror as Korak's voice transformed into a demonic growl. "One more word, and I'll eat you all here and now!" he bellowed.

The teacher and students cowered in fear, their voices reduced to mere whispers. Korak's horns began to grow from his head, and the bus careened wildly out of control.

Just as all hope seemed lost, a figure appeared from nowhere and landed on the hood of the bus. Korak slammed on the brakes, his eyes blazing with fury.

It was Zamiel, standing calmly on the hood of the bus, his eyes fixed intently on Korak. The bus came to an abrupt stop, the passengers frozen in terror...

The children and teacher, still shaken, watched in terror from the bus as Zamiel dragged Korak out onto the street. The two demons clashed in a flurry of punches and kicks, their supernatural strength sending them crashing through the surrounding buildings.

The children screamed and cried, their eyes fixed on the battle unfolding before them. The teacher tried to shield them, but they were all transfixed by the horror of the fight.

Korak's horns glowed with an eerie light as he swung his massive fists at Zamiel. But the Prince of Hell was too quick, dodging and weaving between Korak's attacks with ease.

Zamiel retaliated with a blast of hellfire, but Korak was ready. He summoned a dark shield, deflecting the flames and sending them back at Zamiel.

The Prince of Hell leapt into the air, avoiding the flames by mere inches. He landed with a thud, his eyes locked on Korak with a fierce determination.

The battle raged on, the two demons exchanging blows and neither gaining the upper hand. They fought through the streets, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

The children watched, frozen in terror, as the fight continued. They were unable to look away, their eyes fixed on the supernatural battle unfolding before them.

But slowly, Zamiel began to gain ground. His punches landed with precision, his kicks sending Korak crashing to the ground.

Korak struggled to get back to his feet, his horns dimming as his strength waned. Zamiel stood over him, his chest heaving with exhaustion.

"It's over," Zamiel growled, his voice dripping with malice. "You've lost."

Korak snarled, his eyes blazing with hatred. But it was too late. Zamiel raised his hand, and a dark, swirling energy erupted from his palm.

The energy enveloped Korak, and he let out a blood-curdling scream. His body began to disintegrate, his cells breaking down into nothingness.

As the children watched in horror, Korak's body turned to dust, his screams fading into silence. The dust scattered, carried away by the wind.

Zamiel stood over the spot where Korak had fallen, his chest still heaving with exhaustion. He had used the "Devouring Darkness," a powerful and ancient magic that consumed the very essence of his enemies.

"It's done," he whispered, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

The children, still watching from the bus, let out a collective gasp. They were stunned, unable to process what they had just witnessed.

The teacher, shaken, tried to comfort them. "It's okay, children. It's over now. Let's get out of here."

As they filed out of the bus, Zamiel turned to them. His eyes gleamed with a fierce intensity.

And with that, he turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving the stunned children and teacher to process the horror they had just witnessed...

Zamiel appeared in front of his mansion, his body materializing out of thin air. But instead of standing tall, he collapsed to the ground, his legs giving out beneath him.

Elena, who had been walking nearby, rushed to his side. "Oh my Lord, Zamiel!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with worry.

She dropped to her knees beside him, her hands reaching out to touch his face. Zamiel's eyes were closed, his chest rising and falling with shallow breaths.

Elena's eyes scanned his body, taking in the signs of a fierce battle. His clothes were torn and battered, his skin bruised and scratched.

"What happened to you?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Just as Elena was about to try and rouse Zamiel, a figure appeared out of nowhere. Azura pushed Elena aside, her eyes blazing with anger.

"Get your hands off him, you human!" Azura shouted, her voice echoing through the air.

Elena stumbled backward, her eyes wide with shock. Azura dropped to her knees beside Zamiel, her hands reaching out to touch his face.

With a swift motion, Azura began to chant in a language Elina couldn't understand. The air around them began to shimmer, a dark energy building in intensity.

As Elena watched in amazement, Azura and Zamiel vanished into thin air. Elena stumbled backward, her mind reeling with questions.

With a sense of trepidation, Elena turned and entered the mansion, her mind racing with thoughts of what lay ahead...
