After days of suffering in silence, Elena finally saw an opportunity to strike back.

Elena stepped out of the office and took out her phone.

Dialing a familiar number, she spoke with a smile.

"Theodore, let's have dinner tonight. I have a way to solve the funding issue at your company."

That was a complete lie.

She had no such solution.

But she needed a reason to lure him out.

Since the last time she had refused to return to the Cross estate, Theodore hadn't contacted her. Even Vivian and Selena had been oddly quiet.

That only made her more suspicious.
